But sometimes that's what we do in prayer. 122 00:08:17.279 --> 00:08:21.879 So first of all, Jesus said, when you pray, you 123 00:08:22.000 --> 00:08:25.399 start with this our Father in heaven. And that was 124 00:08:25.639 --> 00:08:29.560 very new to the audience at that time because in 125 00:08:29.720 --> 00:08:34.080 their tradition, going back to the Old Testament, the people 126 00:08:34.159 --> 00:08:36.759 in the Old Testament don't call God their father. And the Son of Man that you 148 00:10:04.399 --> 00:10:08.000 care for him? You know? Hebrews eleven says that Jesus 149 00:10:08.120 --> 00:10:11.639 spoke the universe into existence. Do you have any idea 150 00:10:12.120 --> 00:10:15.759 how the universe came to be? The Bible says it's true, 151 00:10:15.799 --> 00:10:18.279 the word of God. He just spoke it into existence. 152 00:10:18.360 --> 00:10:21.919 That's how powerful God is. Yet, David said, when I 153 00:10:22.279 --> 00:10:24.600 look at the stars and the moon, and when I 154 00:10:24.840 --> 00:10:27.879 try to wrap it around my head in my brain, 155 00:10:28.679 --> 00:10:31.159 how can a God who created all of these things 156 00:10:31.159 --> 00:10:34.080 so it is massive and big and powerful, how can 157 00:10:34.279 --> 00:10:38.279 that God be personal at the same time? Who are you? 161 00:10:50.679 --> 00:10:53.639 But yet? That's who God is? You know. There's one 162 00:10:53.720 --> 00:10:56.639 thing we need to know about God. God is personal. 163 00:10:56.720 --> 00:10:59.279 God is a personal God. He is a relational God 164 00:11:00.000 --> 00:11:02.799 wants to have a relationship with us. You know, one of my prayer is that 168 00:11:11.600 --> 00:11:14.240 we will have a greater revelation. What that means. He said, we are not meant 179 00:11:57.399 --> 00:12:02.399 to be somebody. We were meant to know somebody. We're 180 00:12:02.480 --> 00:12:05.120 here not to prove our worth and value. We're not 181 00:12:05.279 --> 00:12:08.279 here to be somebody. We are here to be somebody. 182 00:12:08.360 --> 00:12:12.200 That's a purpose of life, to know God and to 183 00:12:12.320 --> 00:12:18.159 serve his purpose. It's about relationship, and that's the starting 184 00:12:18.240 --> 00:12:22.879 point of prayer, not a ritual, not a tradition. What would to take for that 195 00:13:01.159 --> 00:13:03.200 to happen? You know, here's what the Bible says in 196 00:13:03.240 --> 00:13:07.039 efficients chapter two, verse thirteen. But now in Christ Jesus, 197 00:13:07.960 --> 00:13:11.240 you who once were far off, have been brought near 198 00:13:11.320 --> 00:13:14.080 by the blood of Christ. It's about a relationship. It's about God's will. When we pray, something happens.
