And so what you're seeing 43 00:02:20.879 --> 00:02:24.520 is these stories coming up, especially in states like Texas 44 00:02:24.560 --> 00:02:29.960 that have significant restrictions on abortion, and claiming that some 45 00:02:30.080 --> 00:02:34.439 bad outcomes that women are having are because of abortion restrictions. 46 00:02:35.080 --> 00:02:39.360 The American College of Obgyn would like to have completely 47 00:02:39.479 --> 00:02:43.120 no regulation at all of abortion. So a report came 50 00:02:49.520 --> 00:02:52.840 out on July first, and this is the headline, A 51 00:02:52.840 --> 00:02:57.039 striking trend after Texas ban's abortion, more women nearly bled 52 00:02:57.080 --> 00:03:00.680 to death during miscarriage. Now that sounds really frightening, but 53 00:03:00.719 --> 00:03:03.439 when you dive into it and go to what they did. 54 00:03:04.120 --> 00:03:09.360 They looked at discharge reports from ambulatory surgery, so outpatient 55 00:03:09.400 --> 00:03:14.439 surgery centers and hospitals where women came into the emergency department, 56 00:03:15.080 --> 00:03:18.599 but they didn't separate out miscarriage. And what we know 57 00:03:19.120 --> 00:03:22.080 they looked at seven years and during this seven years, 58 00:03:22.080 --> 00:03:26.000 the pandemic happened.
