It might get a little confusing, But the 16 00:00:58.039 --> 00:01:01.920 law was signed by Governor here in late July, I 17 00:01:02.000 --> 00:01:04.200 think it was July twenty third, and it goes into 18 00:01:04.200 --> 00:01:09.319 effect on October twenty third and normal ninety days. So in order 71 00:04:27.240 --> 00:04:31.079 for a gun a firearm to be sold in Massachuset, Massachusetts, 72 00:04:31.079 --> 00:04:34.360 it has to go through certain testing labs and be 73 00:04:34.519 --> 00:04:38.759 dropped and burned, and it costs that manufacturers a huge 74 00:04:38.800 --> 00:04:40.720 amount of money to do this. They have to send 75 00:04:41.000 --> 00:04:43.680 five different models of each gun, plus I think a 76 00:04:43.759 --> 00:04:46.639 check for ten thousand dollars to the testing lab for 77 00:04:46.879 --> 00:04:49.399 each model that they want to sell in the state 78 00:04:49.839 --> 00:04:53.399 of firearm. And so that really only ever applied to 79 00:04:53.480 --> 00:04:56.720 the handguns. So we have a special roster that the 80 00:04:56.839 --> 00:04:59.920 state puts out and says what guns you're allowed to 81 00:05:00.079 --> 00:05:02.759 to sell or buy from a licensed gun shop in 82 00:05:02.800 --> 00:05:05.639 this state. Well, now, as of October twenty fourth, 89 00:05:21.800 --> 00:05:26.839 if we don't get this this bill suspended, I won't 90 00:05:26.879 --> 00:05:31.439 be able to sell any rifle or shotgun in the 91 00:05:31.480 --> 00:05:35.040 state of Massachusetts. Whether it's a pump action, a bolt action, 92 00:05:35.199 --> 00:05:39.560 a single shot of semi automatic, it doesn't matter because 93 00:05:39.600 --> 00:05:44.040 there's no roster for long guns, only the handgun roster 94 00:05:44.240 --> 00:05:48.279 or the approved firearms roster.
