You name it. Jesus' ministry 21 00:01:37.159 --> 00:01:42.319 is complete and total healing of individual, of relationships, of society, 22 00:01:44.079 --> 00:01:47.200 and of our entire world. It is to bring the 23 00:01:47.280 --> 00:01:52.159 Kingdom of God to everything and everyone. And of course, 24 00:01:52.159 --> 00:01:56.239 when Jesus began to tell them that it was he 25 00:01:56.280 --> 00:02:00.400 who was ushering in this calling that they promised of 26 00:02:00.439 --> 00:02:03.719 the Messiah, I was now fulfilled in him and his ministry. 27 00:02:05.599 --> 00:02:07.439 They wanted to take him out and kill him, right. 28 00:02:07.480 --> 00:02:11.599 They did not like that, so they pushed him towards 29 00:02:11.599 --> 00:02:15.560 the cliff outside the synagogue it's a terrible way to 30 00:02:15.719 --> 00:02:18.560 enschurch service, and tried to throw him off the cliff, 31 00:02:18.599 --> 00:02:22.840 but he walked supernaturally right away, as we know. So this is what Jesus is doing. Amen. Matthew tells us 63 00:04:29.319 --> 00:04:32.480 very specific instructions that Jesus also gives them. He says 64 00:04:33.120 --> 00:04:36.759 in Matthew ten seven and eight, as you go, As 65 00:04:36.879 --> 00:04:40.680 you go, proclaim this message. The Kingdom of Heaven has 66 00:04:40.720 --> 00:04:46.240 come near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those 67 00:04:46.279 --> 00:04:52.680 who have leprosy, and drive out demons. Freely you've received, 68 00:04:53.040 --> 00:04:56.680 freely give what we're talking about. Here are the words 69 00:04:57.040 --> 00:05:00.839 and the works of Jesus. I wonder what that day 70 00:05:01.000 --> 00:05:04.360 was like. There were some apostles that were like, oh, well, 71 00:05:04.519 --> 00:05:07.079 let's go do it. We've been waiting these months to 72 00:05:07.120 --> 00:05:09.319 do what Jesus been doing, and now we get have 73 00:05:09.360 --> 00:05:12.079 the authority and power to do it. Mark 84 00:05:50.759 --> 00:05:53.439 six thirteen tells us they drove out many demons, they 85 00:05:53.439 --> 00:05:59.199 anointed many sick people and with oil and they healed them. 86 00:05:59.439 --> 00:06:01.279 And that to me is a pretty good you know, 87 00:06:01.879 --> 00:06:05.759 first time out, pretty good results. Right, they're out there 88 00:06:05.800 --> 00:06:09.360 doing it. They come back, Hey, we did this, Jesus 89 00:06:10.040 --> 00:06:12.519 in your name. But 91 00:06:15.000 --> 00:06:17.680 that was just the beginning, because we read in Luke 92 00:06:17.759 --> 00:06:23.639 chapter ten that the Lord had more in store after this. 93 00:06:23.720 --> 00:06:26.160 The Lord appointed seventy two others, and he sent them 94 00:06:26.199 --> 00:06:29.800 two by two ahead of him to every town and 95 00:06:29.959 --> 00:06:34.199 every place where he was about to go. Four runners 96 00:06:34.240 --> 00:06:38.360 of Jesus. He's sending them out. While that is this weird, at 115 00:07:43.279 --> 00:07:46.920 least he didn't call us to do that. Verse nine, 116 00:07:47.399 --> 00:07:50.639 after giving him some specific instructions. This is what he 117 00:07:50.720 --> 00:07:56.000 says to the seventy two. Heal the sick. Lieu ten seventeen tells us what happens. 134 00:09:03.559 --> 00:09:09.000 The seventy two returned with joy.
