She was worked up in Mississippi 75 00:05:57.040 --> 00:06:01.199 and she had cat scans and MRIs and showed a man in the pancreas. 76 00:06:01.240 --> 00:06:05.959 So she has a pancreas cancer. And that was biopsied and it was truly 77 00:06:06.000 --> 00:06:11.800 a cancer. And she was worked up at big hospitals in Mississippi, two 78 00:06:12.000 --> 00:06:16.279 big hospitals, and otherwise she had no headaches, her vision was fine. 79 00:06:16.279 --> 00:06:23.040 She never smoked, She never did anything to cause this cancer. And she 80 00:06:23.079 --> 00:06:27.360 had this pancreas mass on MRI, she had a two point two centimeter mass 81 00:06:27.360 --> 00:06:30.920 in the pankeress. It was obstructing the padic duck. She was slightly anemic, 82 00:06:32.000 --> 00:06:39.519 and she'd had no treatment. So she'd come to us about three months 83 00:06:39.560 --> 00:06:43.560 after she was diagnosed. And when she came to us, what do we 84 00:06:43.600 --> 00:06:46.600 do well, we like to know a couple of things, number one, 85 00:06:46.639 --> 00:06:49.279 and not only we want to know a couple of things. And number two, you'd like 90 00:07:04.120 --> 00:07:09.879 to know where is the cancer. And so we staged her up. We 91 00:07:09.920 --> 00:07:13.279 staged up her body and checked out her whole body. And why do we 92 00:07:13.319 --> 00:07:16.839 fear cancer so much? We fear cancer because it can travel and hurt us. 93 00:07:16.879 --> 00:07:20.879 It can hurt us, travel to other organs, become stage four and 94 00:07:21.120 --> 00:07:26.040 be fatal. So that's why we fear cancer. We fear cancer by what 95 00:07:26.079 --> 00:07:30.279 it does locally, but also what it does distantly. And in fact, 96 00:07:30.319 --> 00:07:33.240 we worked her up and we found that the cancer had traveled to the liver, 97 00:07:33.759 --> 00:07:41.800 which is a very common site for pancreas pancreaus cancer cells to travels to 98 00:07:41.839 --> 00:07:47.240 the liver, and so we confirmed that, We confirmed that she had pancreaus 99 00:07:47.279 --> 00:07:50.800 cancer. We confirmed that it went to the liver. We also got cancer 100 00:07:50.959 --> 00:07:55.600 markers which were not done. I can tell you so many places do not 101 00:07:55.759 --> 00:08:01.079 do cancer markers. What are cancer markers, whether blood tests simply drawn their 102 00:08:01.120 --> 00:08:05.480 blood tests to give you an idea of how active the cancer is. Number 103 00:08:05.519 --> 00:08:09.519 one, and number two, how successful the treatment is.
