The big story today is that Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stentt announced that he's 6 00:00:22.839 --> 00:00:27.920 filing a lawsuit with the US Supreme Court against the House Speaker Charles McCall and 7 00:00:28.079 --> 00:00:35.560 a Senate pro tempy treat lawsuit was announced yesterday after the States Senate and the 8 00:00:35.600 --> 00:00:40.960 House both voted to override the governor's vetos on tribal compacts. Now, the 9 00:00:41.039 --> 00:00:46.399 governor said that he simply wants to keep the eastern part of Oklahoma from becoming 10 00:00:46.439 --> 00:00:50.880 a reservation. Here's what he said yesterday. But with this new language, 11 00:00:50.880 --> 00:00:57.560 what they're hoping to do is turned our state into a reservation. I don't 12 00:00:57.600 --> 00:01:03.039 think that's good for Oklahoma's On the mcgart ruling, said that reservation was still 13 00:01:03.079 --> 00:01:08.200 in existence for the major crimes only, and now you're seeing tribal governments argue 14 00:01:08.280 --> 00:01:15.000 that the reservations exist for all purposes. They're pushing for taxes on income taxes. 15 00:01:15.000 --> 00:01:19.159 They're pushing for the City of Tulsa not to have authority to write speeding 16 00:01:19.159 --> 00:01:23.280 tickets.
