Hello, everyone, Welcome back to a new episode of the Poker Go Podcast. My name is Donny Peters. His name is Tim Duckworth. It is day one of the twenty twenty four World Series of Poker. Tim and I are buried in the back of the Horseshoe Ballroom. There's no one event center. I don't know what this place is called. I never know what this is. That third you hear, you should know that already events center, Grand ball Room. It is probably if there was a list of the worst named poker, it's number one. It's number one by a country eyes bring back Brazilia. Yeah, they got to rename it. You know, they definitely got to rename it. They renamed those remodeled conference rooms in Horseshoe slash Paris. Maybe in Paris with a connected wall or something. I don't know what's happening over there. Anyway, it's day one. I would say that the buzz is growing. I wouldn't say it's fully there yet. I feel like tomorrow is going to be there, right, and we'll get into the reasons why. But Tim and I have been here for the majority of the day. It is Tuesday, May twenty eighth. It is the start of the twenty twenty four World Series of Pokers, so we're going to hit on that, the start of the WSP, the greatest tournament series in the world. We're going to recap and talk about twenty five K Fantasy because we had the draft last night. Jim tim was the auctioneer. He's saying yeeha because he was dressed in a cowboy get up head to toe, including his brand new cowboy boots that he is complaining that his feet hurt. Now I had a team alongside my co owner Matt Clark. I feel really good. We'll get into all that sort of stuff later as we try and defend our title. There were some I guess, eleventh hour announcements from the World Series of Poker over Memorial Day weekend heading into the start of the twenty twenty four World Series of Poker. What was it Friday? They announced the WSP online bracelets, So we can, you know, hit on that because it feels a little bit more beefed up than in years past. So there's that, There is changes to the World Series of Poker Player of the Year award, and then how that's going to be scored, which is I guess long time coming, and I know a lot of players have been talking about it. If you guys were with us last year, we talked with Sean Deep on one of the episodes from the World Series of Poker, and Sean Deep spoke pretty much at length and pretty honestly about how he would like to see the Player of the Year scoring formula change, you know, maybe get some prizes in there, all that sort of stuff. So there are some changes coming that way. We'll we'll hit on those. And then we got some new hats coming. They've been ordered, they're on the way. I don't know why they're gonna get here, but they're on the way. We have some old hats that are hopefully going to hold us over I don't know about tomorrow. Tomorrow, I feel like we're gonna go through two dozen of them, but whatever, well, we don't have two dozens. That's gonna be ahure and we're gonna have to have people fight over them. We have Todd protect us. So if you don't, if you're not a hat person, we do what we did last year. If you see us, you want a hat type of thing, just give us like your mail interest and we'll get one to you, and we have a new giveaway, new giveaway that we're gonna be doing for the summer. So yeah, I'm excited to be here. I know Tim is excited to be here. As we said, the buzzes is starting to build this the section of where we are in Horseshoe. You can't even get back here. You can't go past the elevators to the Horseshoe Tower if it's blocked off. You know, obviously we can come back here with the production passes and the access baby. The production team is still very much setting up the main feature table set, which has a I don't know what would you call it. It's not really like a full makeover. It's like a touch up in a way, you know that you know there's an update, Yeah, you know it's there's some some fresh new graphic LEDs that are taking the place of what were banners in the past. There's some new you know, signage around the outside of the tables within this room. If you remember the Horseshoe feature table set up, that's been pushed back and been expanded to be a little bit larger. I think generally that alone, the Horseshoe was like smack dab in the middle of the room. The horseshoe table is what we called it. That being pushed back really like opened up the space I feel like in here, So a bit more space in this horseshoe event center, is that what it's called. We need to come up with a name for this room. We are the greatest podcast, the greatest poker podcast in the world, so we need to put it on ourselves to come up with this. And I got to figure it out. I got it this episode. Community Cards, All right, community cards starting off episode one at the WSP you're just hitting us with the community cards. Of course, what do you have? You know, I'm terrible in names, but I want to shout out the guy that was playing the car. I'm so bad at people introduced me all the time, like introduce themselves to me all the time, or like you just meet people you go to meetings for work, whatever you meet, but I never remember anyone's goddamn name. I'm so bad. And every time I come out of one of those interactions, I tell myself, I gotta get better. I do the thing where it's like, hey, my name's I repeat it. I'm just we must I'm just a scatter brained fuck. Okay, I'm all over the place. Continue please with It was a guy playing the casino employees event. He shouted out, as we're doing a little too. I was giving our new social media manager, Dylan little tour around you know the areas, and he said, hey man, it's in the podcast. I need one of these lucky hats. Well, I came back here, you know, like we touched on, we have a few hats. I grabbed a hat. I also grabbed one of these card protectors, went back for another walk. He was still there, still battoning. Gave him one of that, so shout out to him. I hope he's stilling the employees event. I hope he takes it down. If you see me again, please come back and tell me your name. Because I never even asked, so that I forgot. I just never asked which is worse. Actually, I think that's bad. Next shout out. We touched on this a couple of episodes ago. We gave a hat to a guy that was playing the Aria Daily. He ended up being in a photo if anyone goes to feel Homeless Twitter, I believe he has a photo with Brian Hastings and in the background there is a guy wearing a Pokego podcast. It's very hard to notice, but he's there. His name is Michael. He won the win one hundred and sixty dollars Nihily for thirty five hundred dollars and sir, that is the first Lucky Hat run good for the summer. It started come get these hats, guys. It started a new hats Whenever Donnie decides to tell us when the shipping is going to I don't know when they're coming. I just know that we paid for them, so I hope that they're here soon. We went with a new provider this year. Hopefully the hats turn out great. Usually everything that you order, you know through through you know companies that do custom stuff or whatever. It usually always turns out very nice. But I'm always like worried. You're just always worried, right, so yeah, anyway, Day one of the twenty twenty four World Series of Poker, getting things underway here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas. As I mentioned a little bit earlier off the top of the show, everything today is taking place over on the Paris side of things. The first event to kick off, event number one on the schedule, was the five thousand dollars Champions Reunion No Limit hold Them so kind of a fun new event. Did involve a gimmick, but you know, I like this one. Drew what about five hundred runners for Tim and I were just over there at the end of the final break before redg close, So we'll see if the numbers are currently up to date, but no change. But it was four we were, yeah, so good number for an opening five K. So what do you freeze out in this one? So what they did is, if you are a w SP Main event champion, you come out and you want to play this event, you play for free. Okay. That's part number one of the gimmick to this event. And I'm not saying gimmick in a negative way. It's just the stick that this event had. The second part is if you play and you are a main event champion, you have a bounty on your head. The player that knocks you out gets a ten thousand dollars seat into this year's WISIP main event. So fun little twist there. If you're a mainuman champion, I'm sure plenty of people are going to be gunning for you at the table. I was talking to Greg Merson on the recent break, you know, he was saying that somebody called in all In earlier going bounty hunting against him, which I'm sure was the case for many of those main event champions. Best dressed of those maineman champions was by far Tom McAvoy. What did you see what he was wearing? Did you see Hawk Seeds shot from nineteen seventies seed looked like he got that tight I shirt out of the garbage bit. Tom McAvoy looked incredible. He shape remember he used to rock a big beard right last few year. Looked he looked like I know in Antonio Brego had the photo team go over there and do some like portrait shots with him, and he's got to get those out on social media to here. Oh he does, okay, yeah, because I mean McAvoy looks like he looks old school Vegas in a lot of those photos, which is kind of fitting being here at the Horseshoe, you know, kind of in a way turning back time. Wies of poker. Yeah, pink cowboy hat, pink sure, I mean he's sink tie. Yeah, he's definitely coming to crush the The other player that was pretty decked out as a maniment champion, Queen win oh bling. I mean, I think he spent all of the money that he wanted the man have been on what he was jewel, I mean he there was. I mean it could be fake, like that jacket could be bedazzled, the watch could have been faked, but he was. He was shining. Let me me, I don't think fake. I don't think it's fake. It was. It was for sure shining. And then so that was the five thousand dollars Champions Reunion. I first place should be what about four K, three fifty. It's a little bit tricky because if you go to wip dot com and you just plug the numbers into the payout calculator, which Tim informed me about a half an hour ago, that is like this new addition to domizzabe dot com that you can check out. Not sure if they took the money out of the prize pool that is being taken out for the ten thousand dollars main event seats for the bounties. Actually, how many main event champs played? Do you think? No? Idea, let's say fifteen, So let's reduce the players by fifteen because I'll give us semi accurate no, by thirty. Yeah, we're going to put four sixty two in. I'm going to calculate that. It says first should be math live on the podcast. This is a disaster waiting to happen. Come on first should be about four to seventeen. Yeah, you know, four hundred times, so it'll be It's a good payday, good good way to kick off the summer. This is a three day tournament. This tournament event number one, the five thousand dollars Champions Reunion Nola man Holden will be the first live stream that poker Go does that is coming up on Thursday. So on Thursday, May thirtieth, poker Go will be live streaming the final table the five thousand dollars Champions Reunion. As always, you guys can use the promo Code podcast if you want to sign up to poker Go. That promo code will save you twenty dollars off your first year of a new annual subscription. If you are a monthly on a quarterly subscriber, you can't upgrade to annual. You can use the promo code when you upgrade, and that's how you can lock in the best price that we are currently offering. The other event that was running is the five hundred dollars Casino Employees Event. Do you know how many entries that got? I can tell you in a matter of seconds. That would be great. Now I can't because the website WSP dot com is not telling me. It says four hundred and seventy seven remained. So poker News says eleven ninety four. That seems very big. Last year was oney fifteen? Was that a record? I had no idea if it was a record last year, unprepared in that regard. But that's a pretty big uptick year over year, which is great to see. So yeah, that that's a really good sign. A lot of the just go quickly. Going back to the five thousand dollars Champions of Union, A lot of big names were out there in the mix, and you know, Daniel Mgaranney was out there. I didn't see Phil Helmuth, did you play? You played, okay? Phil Helmuth was out there, Daniel mcgranney, Jeremy osmas Sean Deeve, Tim's New you know, Mortal Enemy. Who else was out there, Daniel Weineman, Scott Blumstein, you already mentioned Tom McAvoy, Huck Seed was out there. Of course. I saw Greg Merson. Spindel said, cry out of me, Scott Bloomstein, John Sin, Jamie Goad, money Maker. Yeah, that was some of the champions. Ryan re non main event Champs, Ramzobian out there, Jean Riba, Balaan, Alex Livingston just looking over the chip counts of people that were Jeffrey Platt. Jeffrey Platt was out there and then out he busted. Yeah, well you rantens into. I think King's what are you gonna do? Cooler? Dan Shack, Ryan Lang, Tony Kuzano out there and his Trump shirt. David Williams is out there, Brad Owen, Frank Fernaro. I saw rampage A ka Ethan Yeao, he's out there as well. Oh. I see Dan Shack and Daniel Shack are in the chip counts. When is it from as off to a roaring start over there on the updates, Darren Elias out there, Jason Mercier's I feel like that'sho told kind of be headlining news. Jason, is he back? He walked into the draft yesterday, which is like he could just be out here, like, you know, playing some cash whatever, you know, But then he's here for the five K. I wanted to announce his name and him be in the room. I like doing that, but he had left by the time someone David Coleman's out there playing. I saw Kristen Fox and I didn't see Alex foxon. I did see him him, Maria Jes out there. I saw Victoria Liftschitz out there. I saw Maria Kannakova out there, Julian Martini. So you know, all all all the big name guys and gales are out there battling, getting things started early, and then you know all the casino employees are over there lasting in the five hour. No. I have not played any reason behind that. I don't care to. Yeah, okay, my real reason is that I like to go to be a hot take. I can already tell it's not a hot take. I mean part of it is I guess. I guess it's it's eighty percent that where the casino employees event falls in the schedule. It's always right at the beginning. And I've said it before, I've said it on this podcast. I'll say it again. I will always prioritize work above play when it comes to poker. I work in poker. I was always prioritize my job. I take my job very seriously. I like to try and do the best job that I can, and it helps me to be able to get into a good flow for the summer, not like doing anything, but working for like the first week or two, just like it's just you come here, there's a lot going on. We're working long hours. Like you gotta like spend a couple of days, like getting your feet wet again, Like where are we setting up? Can I set up my computer where I want? Can I do all this sort of stuff? You know? Like well walk around, see what's new from year to year? Like where do I go? How do I get there? Like you know, I know a lot of the stuff you know, and it comes back naturally. But you know, it's like I liking it too. Every year when I start watching football the NFL, because I'm a guy who watches multiple games like at one time, right, I have multiple screens up, right, like you know now on YouTube TV you can put the quad box up. And but like first week, I'm like, my my mind's going all over the place. My eyes are going all over the place, you know. But by like maybe halfway through week one, maybe week two, I'm like, okay, like I know, like out of the corner of my eye can see like, okay, there's a pass being thrown over here. But I can still watch over here, like you know, you pick that up. Yeah, So it's just like it's just coming out here getting your feedway. Which I think if I was a poker player, right, I don't think that I would just if that was my job. I don't think I would just come from wherever I would be coming from and just show up and like play the World Series. I would probably come a week early. I would, you know, play some events around town, even just go play some casts just to like sit down, feel chips, you know, like have other people look at you, you look at them, like all that sort of stuff, just to get in the feel of playing poker again. Like I wouldn't just show up. So that's how I take it as it comes to work. And then the other twenty percent is I just don't really care to play the hell with it? I look to be honest, I'm a big fan of the employees' event. I'm big fans of ladies events. I think it's a great event for these employees to come together play have fun. Personally, I've played it once. I'm kind of more in the way your twenty percent is more is my ninety five percent? Right? I don't really care to play it. Yeah, it's not that I do like that. I think it's a good event. I just I just don't like you know, I mean, it's it's a fast structure. It's kind of whatever. So you know, I do like that. It is the first time if I'm gonna play a fast structure, like I'll play the Colossus because then I can winning foreigner, K you know agree with that? That that sort of thing for the funny A funny thought I have. This is like kind of an a side thing. I always walk through the casino employees and I'm like, what casino are you an employee of? Like? What are you? Who do you work for? Well, that's funny. It's like very it's casino employee is very, very lenient. So yeah, when I was walking with Dylan and he was like, I'm like, I'm pretty sure you only play poker? What are you like? What are you doing? Well, I'm going to name some names. That don't name some names, but he was like, who gets to play this? And I was trying to explain, you know, it's casino employees, it's dealers, but they're a little leading media leaning on the definition this media, this ex employees. Basically, you just gotta provide a badge of some So there was multiple that who I would deem as poker players in this event, but they use a little cur like they used what is it? I don't know. They brought the ten ninety nine slips from they did a want off freelance gig for me. You're a professional poker player, but you're a prop. Can you play? I mean that's probably more that's yes, more a casino employee than like some of the people you're talking about that like just get some random badge to like be a vlogger at some stop. You're a casino employee if you play, I think, yeah, So that's that's interesting. Place still exists, No way, I think so. But I actually think that I even saw like an advertisement like a couple of weeks ago in Vegas. I don't know where it was, and might I don't think it was in Vegas. It might have been somewhere else. It might have even been Texas or so, I don't. I don't know, but but yeah, I either like I either saw an advertisement for it or somebody told me about it something or something. Yeah, I don't remember exactly, but they probably exist, not not certainly as much as they they once did, but they probably do exist to some extent. I mean, I think you you kind of need some people if you're you know, a lower volume room or you're an upstart room or anything like that. So so yeah, so that's the casino employees went, do we know first place in that one? That's a two day I haven't right that one's been a wrap up tomorrow. That one's event two on the schedule. But that one will be the first bracelet awarded at the twenty twenty four World Series of prober There are ninety nine of them, ninety nine live bracelets, and then there's thirty online on the big WSP dot com site, so that includes Nevada and New Jersey and now Michigan. That was the big news that came out on Friday, Michigan joining the player pool. And then Pennsylvania is going to have its own separate bracelets, although I don't recall how many they're having. It's probably like ten or something, who knows. I mean, Pennsylvania's a decent sized market. They don't have the payouts list that I don't see for the event number two bumber? What else? I mean, what is like your first impression of this year? I will say that I feel like I've never felt more so like we just left. I feel that more than every I honestly feel like the twenty twenty three WSP was last week. I don't know, I don't know. I definitely don't feel that, you know, so yeah, I mean, what are your first impressions? My first impressions is that I don't feel like it's here yet because we've only been in one room. You know, we haven't ventured over here to the horseshoe. We're still setting up the stage. When they turn the lights on in forty eight hours and the cameras are rolling and this room is full of players. That's when I kind of really feel like it's the WSP, and you know it will be the weekend coming up. We'll have the big you know, mystery millions coming up. That when I see the hallways full, when I see every room full, when I see you know, messuses everywhere, when I see absolute chaos, I know we're at the WSP and we're not there yet for me. So I'm still walking up. I'm warming up to the WSP right now. The most chaotic thing that I think I see saw today was somebody tweeted a photo about somebody at their table like four bet jammed all in and then went to the bathroom. I did say that, I mean, what are you doing? He's all in? I mean, so I don't think you can win the hand, Just chime in real quickly. Four hundred ninety three entrants in the Champions Reunion Prize FOROL two point zero four seven million, top seventy four players in the money, the winner four hundred and eight thousand, four hundred and sixty eight dollars a year. We were pretty spot on twenty two main event bounty, so that's probably better than I think a lot of people would have bet on Yeah, I would I would have I would have bet like seventeen if I had to pick a number. So twenty two is good. Yeah, you know, it's good to see them, see them out there battling as always. Did they do the prizepol for the casino employees checking that one at the same time. But yeah, that's my that's kind of my read on the the World Series. Right now. I'm a little I need a bit more. I need to see a bit more from everyone and everything, and I'll be right, well, I will say that you know, we are we are going to be getting a bit more because you and I have wandered over to the paraside of things with three or four times today at least, and we saw the registration line a vale for the what I can only guess is the five hundred dollars doubles would be Kickoff that is starting tomorrow, two day event five hundred dollars buying freeze out tournament, appropriately deemed the Kickoff. Doesn't doesn't have a guarantee on it, you know, but it is. It is that big public, low buy and opening event. In a way, it's sort of the it's sort of an appetizer for what is to come, which is the one thousand dollars buy in Mystery Millions, which is coming up this weekend. So, you know, I think a lot of people that are coming out, not all of them, but you know a lot of people that are probably coming out to fire that that Mystery Millions might come a day or two early and fire the five hundred dollar kickoff as well. You know, I do know some people who are coming out just for Mystery Millions and not coming out for the five hundred dollar kickoffs just because the kickoff, you know, starts on a Wednesday, So Wednesday Thursday might be hard to come out for for some people who are you know, of the of the working kind. But but yeah, I think a lot of people will kind of be double dipping into both of those events. So I would expect this five hundred dollars kickoff event, even though it is a freeze out no re entries, I would expect that it's quite quite large. I don't think there's any are there any plans to play it over here at all? Or is it just hitting it all fit over It should all fit over in Paish. One good thing this year that we should touch on it. I think we touched on it before when Dissip made the kind of their original announcement about the schedule is the daily deep sex tournaments are taking place in an entirely new part of the property. If you are aware of the Horseshoe Casino, you know that the the Horseshoe Poker Room, the Hall of Fame Poker Room as it is called, is not really near where the tournaments take place. The tournament takes takes place in the conference Center, Events Center, ballroom Center, whatever the heck this place is called. And then you know the poker room, which runs all year round, you know, takes place kind of on the other side of the casino floor. But if you are looking at the Hall of Fame Poker Room, to the right there is like a little cafe, and then right to the right of the cafe is an escalator which goes up to some additional conference space which they recently remodeled. That's where they played the recent WSP Circuit Las Vegas series was up there. The first room on the first floor of that upper level is called Paris Normandy, So that's where the deep sacks are taking place. So they're over there this year, so they're out of the way, so they have that. That also might be why it seems a little bit less buzzy and here then it would. You know, there's probably a few hundred people up there playing those tournaments, and they're not down in the regular tournament area of the ws APE Bracelet events, so there's not that less foot traffic in the hallways all that sort of stuff. But it does open up a lot more room in like the Paris Ballroom. It opens up room obviously here on the horseshoe side, which means that events like tomorrow's five hundred dollars kickoff, you know, have all that space. So I think they're just going to jam pack that ballroom day two of the shouldn't day two move over here? Of the five k or schedules to move over here. I spoke to some of the big dogs at WSP, and there may be a little concern that we're going to be banging and clanging here building as this set is nowhere near done, so we're going to be banging. They may not put them the day to residing here. They may keep it in deep cramped in here just to bang and clang and piss off the players. Why not that's a good phrase, banging and clanging, banging and playing And all right, yeah, did you do you have interviews? Buddy? Are we like inserting them? What are we doing? Come on, let's talk. You know we want to talk about the w S P p o Y. I'm going you need to talk about the WPPY, So why don't you tell us? So I'll set the table and then you can tell us about the change. The table setting I'll do is that you know, in prior years, the WSP hasn't really had any rules other than you score points for cashes. They all add up wherever as the most points at the end of it. Wins online counts, live counts. That's that there was a period of time when, like WSP, you're counted in the whole thing. You know some you know, some apac count you know, people were chasing the chasing the po I all over the world. It is just Vegas. But now there are some additional changes to the p o I, so why don't you get into those? They were announced over the weekend. The first big change is that you need a minimum of five results, so you win four bracelets. Do nothing else. Bad luck, bucco, you got no chance. Top ten points results is a new thing, So it's your top ten best points earning results will qualify for your total score for POY. And the final thing is that there is only one WSP online event that will count as part of your ten, so you know this thirty online bracelet events, but only one of those results will count. Excluded events as always casino employees, the three seniors events, ladies, and the tag team. So you know, we're basically going from you can be all in playing every event trying to get as many points as possible to now it's your best ten, which is very much you know, kind of follows in the way like the GPI does their kind of points scoring. They take the best results. Obviously, they have a lot more criteria such as waiting per you know, how the results, et cetera. But this is definitely a pretty big change. It's going to change a lot of people's plans to you know, chase POY or not chase Pero y now. And I think there's been a lot of debate, you know, whether it's online on Twitter, slash x, or just you know, talking to some players or just even overhearing things. A lot of players are discussing it and discussing what's good, what's bad, what does it mean for their schedules. And then you know, obviously, I think the big thing that is a little bit underrated here is all the POY prop bets. We're so accustomed to these kind of prop bets with even head to head or you know, I'm taking d versus Daniel, you know, whatever the action is. Some of that changes now because of this kind of cap that they're putting on the POY. I like the cap part of it, your ten best, you know, so, I mean even if you have ten, you can still go for eleven and hopefully do better than your worst one, right, So I don't mind that side of it. I do kind of mind the other side of it, the five minimum. I mean, what if you win three bracelets cash another time and said that's it. Yeah, I mean you're just not eligible to win. Maybe that wouldn't have got your win anyway. I mean, yeah, I understand, but I mean, yeah, well it could if you win the two fifty K, one hundred k and the fifty k PLO that probably deserves you know, maybe the POY. So yeah, that the five is a little off putting to me. That could have easily just been three results. I think that's fine, it satisfies everything. I'm okay with the ten best. Maybe that could have expanded. The one thing I very much dislike is the online You know, we're doing thirty bracelet events. For example, Greg Merson twenty twelve would not have been eligible and he won the penultimate event and event he won the ten K six Max and the WSB main event, but he only had four cashes that year. I'm sure if we go back to you on that, you know earlier, there's probably a lot of cases that I just think five is a lot. Obviously, this rule is in place, like you don't just want like player of the year is the guy who wins the main event, you know, like that that That's what I of course right, and we do the same thing. We do the same thing on the PGT, but ours is too obviously ours is a much smaller series. But five would be fine if you maybe expanded the online results, And I think that's I don't like. I don't like limiting the online to one. I mean, so they've they've always told us that all bracelets are equal. Correct, aren't you now saying that all bracelets aren't equal or all bracelet events aren't equal? Like, isn't that what you're saying? Because you can only have one of your ten counts. Also, I just think, like with what they've done with the CP online bracelet schedule this year, which I really like, they have a lot of really big buying events. They have one, two, three, four or five events that are lot online to live hybrids, you know, so like that it's it's really cool. I mean a thirty two hundred dollars, fifty three d fifty three hundred dollars ten K, and a thirty two hundred dollars those are the big buying price points. And they also have some one ks on there. I mean for online, that's huge. Yeah, that's huge. So like I mean, yeah, I guess you don't want like or not that you don't want it. It's less sexy if like, you know, Joe Smith playing out in New Jersey has a crap ton of BSIP success online only never steps foot in the horseshoot, right like, and then he wins POI yeah, you know, so it's it's kind of tricky, right, It could even be like, you know, maybe you just need in in a way. Maybe it should be the other way. Maybe you just need one live result, like you have to be here. Basically, you can't just sit at home in New Jersey. I don't know. I just I don't know. You'd have to look at the waiting of the cashes and break it down. I just think, Look, we've got ninety nine live bracelet events, right, technically nine of those cashs count for POY. That's ten percent essentially, right, we got thirty online braces. No, that's ninety percent nine of them counts. Nine of ninety nine is basically temper right, Sorry for employee, Sorry sorry for online. This thirty So if we take the same percentage of ten percent three it should be three, should be nine and three kind of thing. I think that would be, uh, you know, we just do top. It could be you need at least x number of live x number of you know, online maximum. I just I don't. I don't think there was any sort of issue with like last year, Ian metakusin winning or having all that success online, Like I don't, I mean he crushed online. He also had a lot of success live and yeah, giving it does matter he had one bracelet. He had twenty two cashes nine online best result was I believe a third place. Famous It wasn't one year Jesus Ferguson like just going back of the re entry line like over and over again, like you know, it's like, I mean, come on, you know, like what are we doing here? So I don't know, I just feel like it was. I feel like it's a little bit too much of an over correction, but I mean, overall, I still think there needs to there was. It's probably it's I think it is for sure better than what it was, right, Like, I just don't I think like the constant running around dropping stacks just to get min cash is that sort of stuff is kind of kind of silly, you know, And I think that's why there was such a vocalization to get this changed in one way. So I'm for it. I think the next change that I would like to see or update, I guess is a better word for the POI is to add some sort of like big prize to it. Yes, it's like it's it's weird that the way the way that it gets talked about and celebrate and the fact that it has like no prize at least in comparison to everything else, is well, let's okay, let's wind it back and it has technically no but i'm surprises, yeah, but but not what do you want a Ford Bronco? Why can't it be one hundred k? Are you paying? No? Well, like there's enough rate to give a back one hundred k? I mean come on right, is there not enough break? Probably? Yes, there's enough break, trust me, there's enough break. I saw those people over there online. There's enough break. Okay, competent in the kickoff, yeah, that's the yeah. I look, there's definitely things they could do. I'm when it comes it is things. I think a prize that like ten k twenty k is just like it's too small for where where how big of a prestige they make it? Okay? You know you always talk about you get a banner? Yeah, you know, cool, big banner. You know the only other people that have banners are WSB Main Event champions. It's Main Event champions. Then it's p O Y Yeah, like okay, well but there's there's no like big prize for POY. What do you get for main event ten million? Well? Yeah, you've won, you've won bracelets and millions of dollars winning p Y. But I'm saying even even winning even winning like the smallest bracelet event, who like you're getting a hunter k. It's kind of what I saw, man, That's all I'm gonna say. I'm saying. I feel like you could finago it. I feel like you could find sponsors something I don't know, but they've tried that before. Remember a couple of years ago that it was Vivo was the no Limit Player of the Year sponsor. Yeah, no Player of the Year is all around. That's how it is. Well, speaking of what you know, I did, like I did, like Sean Deeve's suggestion last year of like you just basically put up money to play the players do it? Like that'd be interesting, you know, you know you touched on some things there, and like you mentioned before, I did speak to some of the players. I spoke to Sean Dave, I spoke to Jeremy Osmus, and I spoke to Daniel mcgaran, who asked him a variety of questions about Player of the Year because you know, at the end of the day, these are the guys kind of chasing it. So like our opinion is just opinion, and really, you know, you've got previous Player of the Year winners. They you've got, you know, I think Jeremy would be, you know, a candidate for a Player of the Year if you know, he doesn't want to jump stacks, right, He's got a couple of kids at home, so this maybe I was thinking this these rule changes actually great for him. He may now chase it, so I think it will just you want to just play all three interviews and then yeah, let's just play all of them. We'll drop them in here and then we'll come on back and talk some more. Okay, Danielle. New rules for Player of the Year this year. Minimum cashs maximum cashes are ten one online. What are your overall thoughts on it? Well, listen, I wrote a blog in twenty seventeen for Full Contact Poker where I lined out some of the changes I'd like to see. One of them was limited the number of cashes to eight or ten, whatever it is. So I'm very happy to see that. I think it expands the number of people that can win, and it shouldn't be a situation where the guys willing to just burn equity, burn money have an advantage in Player of the Year, which is the case in the old system, like Shaunde will play three different tournaments, go all in blind. You shouldn't force people in the race to do that. With the limitation on numbers. Whatever your tenth cash looks like, it's probably going to be about a min cash, so there's not any incentive to min cash something to drop. It doesn't add anything to your total. So it's not just a question of quantity, it's question of quality, which I think is a great change. Does it change you all playing schedule a little? It's not going to change my playing schedule in terms of what I had going in so because I was already planning on playing all the big ones, the high value ones. I'll still play some small ones here and there. But it doesn't change for me. But it does make me feel like I have a much better chance for sure. Actually, only one cash from online counts, but the study bracelet events this year, do you think there is value? Maybe you know, maybe next year adding an online Player of the Year, Yeah, you could do that, but I think also I wasn't part of the change to make it only one. I think you could have made it like three to five is the cap you could use online. I think, you know, with Ian Matakas winning and he's you know, a very humble, very good guy. Like most of his wins came like under the radar online nobody knew. It's like, what the hell this guy's third, four or fifth? You know. So I think like a few more online cashs would have been fine because there are some big ones. There's a ten K on there, et cetera. But I mean, I get it. I think an online would be great. It's only thirty events though, and I wouldn't care about it. But I'm standing here with Sean Dave, my favorite person in the world, the best poker player you've ever met. Maybe there's no maybe. I mean, I'm the best player player in the world. You couldn't ma anyone better than me. Twenty five K Fantasy draft auction bids would say something else, but look, I don't. I mean that was rigged against me. I feel like there's been a lot of corruption lately. As the commissioner, I think you should check for the collusion of some teams running the bids up on some players just for their own vanity. I'll look into a finex yit. But I want to talk to you right now about Player of the Year. There's been some changes. I know this is something that you care about, it's something that you've won, you want to win multiple of these. What are your initial thoughts on the changes? Well, listen, I know people think I'm biased because it affects the changes dress effect my winning chances, But I think the whole the greatest value of POY is to get high stakes, well known players to play lower stakes tournaments, and by capping the total number of scores, that really disincentivize top players from playing the biggest field events because very unlikely you get enough points to be a useful score besides getting two hundred points. So in general, like if I was strictly going for POY, I would skip everything that's small, only play the highest buy ins. And I think for the players I've ran into, they love when I played the three hundred dollars Gladiator or a five hundred dollars opening tournament. I think that's such a great experience for the newer players and the lower stakes people to play with names they've seen on TV and people that you know they've cheered for for the multiple decades. So I really hate the changes, because I think that that hurts the player experience of the most important players, which are the first timers and the recreational players. Is the changes that they've made. Is that something that affects your schedule coming into this World series? Are you changing your schedule? You're doing the same thing. So it was going to change my schedule drastically. And then I made some Fantasy side bets as well as Player of the Year side bets. So in general, I'm still on a multi table and kind of treat like the old system because the bets are much larger eavy than anything else. So but if I was strictly going for Player of the Year and had no side bets, you would see me in thirty or forty events as opposed to seven or eighty that I usually play. So that fact alone, that's tens of thousands of rake less for the World Series. So unfortunately, some people had some influence and they wanted to give make the changes, and they went through and I couldn't stop it. There's thirty online bracelet events this year for this World Series. Only one score counts for the Player of the Year. There has been some talk on Twitter about maybe there should be an online Player of the Year. What are your thoughts on that. I think the more Player of the Year the better. I think there should be a no limit one. I think there should be a woman's one. I think should be a high roller one. I think there should be an Omaha one. I think there should be a low stakes one. I think there's no reason not to give more Player of the years, especially with the prize bool being only ten K I would love to just have a ton of them. How about the Player of the Year for seniors, for fifty plus in open events? Why not get more people involved? Why not motivate people to grind more. Why not celebrate different players and give the media more to talk about. There's seven weeks of the World Series. There's a lot of the same reporting over and over again. But Player of the Year always is that one thing that when the right battle goes on with the right players, it gets all the hype in the world, kind of like the land Entice and Jeremy Becker's story. So I just all them for content. I'm all for battling and drama and all the shit that could be there. So regardless of my own ev decisions or own vanity, I think that there could be a lot of improvements made to promote poker in a better way. Final question here, I want you to rule yourself out. I want you to rule a grondo app who would be your pick right now with the current rules to win this year? Is w a speak Player of the Year. I'm going with Scott sever I guess I'll blow up his spot. He made a large fantasy pohy bet with someone else who would have been my normal pick, because that's why I bet it. Me and him have a personal poy bet as well. But you'd like to reveal this name by any chance, Michael Munchik. So yeah, Munchak was one of the people I wanted to draft, and unfortunately I didn't have enough points. When he came up late in the draft, I couldn't get him. I'm super nice guy, enjoy my time with him. I literally side bit with him and coach him during the series. So when he makes a final table, I try to give him advice whatever game it is, and I respect you know the ability of him to take the worst of it and we will to just fucking out gamble people. I think that's very admirable. He is a super nice guy. I met. His brother is also a great guy, and I think poker players like that are few and far between. So when you get to know them and you get to enjoy their company, it's a lot of fun to watch them grow as a player year to year where he's not trying to make the most money, he's going for the accolades, and as a fellow DJN like that. I got respect for that style. I think I call you a bad time, Jeremy, maybe just busting the five K Champions Reunion event, but I do want to talk to you about WS top Player of the Year and the changes they've made. I feel like your name always comes up in a group of like maybe as a chance to win it, make a run add it, But I want to know what are your thoughts on the rule changes. I haven't really like analyzed it a ton. I do like the fact that I think it's changed in a way that multi tabling doesn't increase your chances of winning. I always thought that was bad, and I don't know it's kind of I think it's good to cap the online stuff, So I think overall, I like the changes. I just don't feel like someone who's multi tabling and doing all that, you know, when it increases their chances so much, because not everyone's willing to do that. I'm really not willing to do that, So I think it's a change for the better overall. Definitely, with this change kind of make you want to try and chase pier Wima a little bit. I mean, i'd say my chances have gone up, probably, although if they count all that, because yeah, some of the online I don't even play some I do, so definitely my my odds have gone up. I was just talking to Sean and he thinks his odds are half what they like. His percent to win is like half what it used to be. So pretty significant change there. So we got thirty online bracelet eventstance. Yeah, you know you have an online bracelet. Only one of those scores will count for the new Player of the Year. Do you think with this rule change there is a definite marriat to maybe add a online Player of the Year award? Maybe? I think it's someone was talking about that at the table earlier tonight, and I think it's worth considering. Yeah, I don't know. But then it's like you're gonna put up two banners, you know, and all this stuff, So I don't know, it's always been like the live tournament, So that's kind of what I wish it was. Was just that. I guess through in one online is good, but doing a whole online, I don't know. I'm not crazy about it. I guess I'm not. I don't have a super strong opinion. So it's good to hear from those guys. I mean, as you mentioned, all three of them are among the favorites, you know, to become Player of the Year. Jeremy Osmas might not get his due in that regard. Yeah, obviously Deep is like always there in the conversation with Granny too, But you know, Ozma's puts in a ton of volume and somethings break his way over the course of the summer. You know, you could certainly see Ozma's making a run at the POY title. I think would be a nice little feather in his cap for a very very good career that he's had so far, and I'm guessing we'll continue to have so So yeah, I mean, it's it's good to hear from those guys for sure. Yeah, I mean I really enjoyed, you know, when I asked Stabe about you know, to be an online Player of the Year, you know, and he was like, yeah, why not, maybe they should be a seniors player of the Year, Ladies player of the Year. Is like, he doesn't think there's a reason to cap the honas, especially with you know, kind of contrary to what you said, with such a small prize for Player of the year, why not add more player of the years to incentivize people partaking and chasing. And I don't mind as well, right, yeah, I don't mind that. I think along the content angle of things, you could you could turn it into kind of a ceremony, yeap, you know later on, like you have the Mixed Game Player of the Year, you have the PLO Player of the Year, the Nolan you know, all that sort of stuff, which I think is is fine and in a way, it's like, you know, the WS to be Award show, like in a weird kind of way, right, but I think that that would be be cool. And then of course, you know, above them all is you know, the overall WS Player of the Year, which is the biggest, the best one. Do you want do you want to hit on some of this WSP online stuff a little bit more so? They did announce that Nevada and New Jersey, which already had merged player pools, are now welcoming. In Michigan, the Wolverine State is going to be into the mix. So WSP dot com becomes the first online poker operator legal and regulated within the US to accept players from three states within one network, which is great me, you know, I mean tim as well being here in Nevada, you know, playing on WSP dot com. I think it's very welcome, and it's paired with a software upgrade that was a long, long long time coming. Been playing on pretty much the exact same software ever since it launched, So getting the new software involved is going to be awesome. And I'm like already very much looking forward to after the WSP just like grinding online on the new software, Like, I'm like pumped for it. With the new software, they're able to do mystery bounty tournaments. They're able to do multi day starting flights, which is great, I mean like stuff like that. It's just it's it's a really big upgrade for where it was. I think it's awesome. I think a lot of people are going to enjoy it. I think those of us that reside in the three states that are involved, Michigan, Nevada, and New Jersey are going to absolutely love the upgrade. So again, I can't wait to start playing on that. You know, with everything that's going on, probably going to have to wait till the end of the series. Unlet's the only thing that I would probably fire during the summer would be that twenty five seats scramble, which which they are bringing back twenty five seats guaranteed the WSB main event. Actually are they doing two of them because it says June thirtieth and July third, so maybe they're doing two. Yeah, so does that mean fifty seats? Well, damn, let's go okay, But on the schedule. So for the racelet schedule for the online stuff thirty gold Bracelet events, June first will be the first one. It is called the Nolanan Hold Them fifty to fifth Annual Kickoff has a five hundred and fifty five dollars buy in. They have buy ins on here that range as low as three thirty three and then all the way up to a ten thousand dollars buy in. The ten thousand dollars one is called WISIP Online Championship event. It takes place on July eleventh. That is one of five online to live hybrid events. It's not the first time that they've done the online to live hybrid stuff. They've done it before. They did it last year. Who won that event? Sam So Baby Samby Baby Team DPMC Let's go. But they're doing five of them this year. So the even number nine Nolanan Hold Them high Roller that takes place on June eighteenth, thirty two hundred dollars buy in that will have a live final table. I at number fourteen another high roll or this one the high Roller eight Max with the fifty three hundred dollars buying starts on June twenty ninth, that will also have a live final table. They have the high Roller Championship fifty three hundred dollars buying on July tenth. Live final table will be coming for that one. July eleventh is the WSP Online Championship event that I just mentioned that one has a ten k buy in. That one will have a live final table. And then the Nolman Hold Them high Roller of a number twenty six on the online schedule, thirty two hundred dollars buying will also have a live final table, So that's pretty cool, you know. I I think it gets good to do that sort of stuff, just because there's always, like so much questions of who's winning these bracelets? Are is it secure? Are people ghosting? And o this and that and the other thing. So the online to live I think is ultimately a good thing for this sort of stuff. So so I like to see that. Some other things to hit on on this online schedule. They have a PLO Mystery five hundred K guaranteed prize pool five hundred and fifty five dollars price point. They have a Colossus multi flight event has four day ones. Interesting, yeah, so that on my account might have to put some money on the ol WSP online. I don't think they have the buy in on here. I think they left the buying off the schedule. But okay, Oh it says buying for day two is four hundred dollars, So I'm assuming buying for day on it's four dollars. No, maybe it's like forty dollars. In well, it doesn't have anything in the buying column and I see the fire that I'm looking at it, but it does for the for day two. Why would they be the same as day one would day one be. I think they it might be a mistake having it for day two and not having it should be empty for day two, but it should be there for day ones. They also have a Nobleman Hold a Mystery Bounty five hundred dollars buying with a one million dollars guarantee. They have a no limit hold a Mystery Bounty Championship one k by. It looks like a million dollar guarantee in that one as well. So a lot of stuff happening online, of course, I'm sure they're going to be having a crap ton of other regular tournaments that are running all the time. So yeah, a lot of stuff happening on w P dot com. As I said, you know, I'm I'm pretty pumped up to h to get in there and play online. Something I wrote down here storylines. You're most excited for this? Are you prepared? Probably not? You just put it on the thing, Probably not. No, it's been on the rundown since I did the rundown seven minutes ago. No, no, no, what are you talking about. You can look at it's on a Google shot. You can look at the edits. I mean, what are some things that are you're looking forward to this this. I always cheer for a big name winning a bracelet, and the reason is I think it's happens every year. No, no, I'm going to clarify what I mean by a big name, because it ain't I mean Dylan Weismith. Yeah, No, I mean Phil Home with Phil Ivey a Johnny Chan and obviously the big one. Let's not rule out. Let's also add Eric Saide other but Daniel mcgrana. It's been a long time. The reason is, I think it's it just creates such a huge buzz, you know, whether it's just a feel in the room, it's the content we're creating, it's the content other media outlets creating. I think those big, big name poker players winning you know, an eighteenth bracelet and eleventh bracelet at seventh, eighth, ninth, whatever the number is really just I don't know, you get we remember those times when that was happening, you know, back at the Rio, and you know, I think you mentioned a couple of podcasts ago where you know, Ivy was heads up for a number eleven and we talked about it in her favorite win. Phil was heads up in embracing the other room and like these moments. You know, I think especially with the way social media is, you know, tweets start going out, you know, the Instagrams already start going out, people start coming to the main stage. You know, we can potentially have you know, if we get the perfect class we have, if I phil Ivy bracelet on one table chase and Negrando chase on another, helmet chase on another. Those kind of moments, you know, and the storylines that develop from that is what I always want year after year. Yeah, I mean one of those. Negron knew he that's my top storyline to watch. You know. He came into twenty twenty four as a whole, not just the Doubs ape. You know, the year coming off a pretty big losing year by his standards, lost what two point two million something like that. You know, he's he's vocal about his results every single year. He put out a video at the beginning of this year going over how he did it was very bad, deep in the red. He vowed a new approach to twenty twenty four. He called it quality over quantity, meaning he was going to focus a little bit more, be a little bit more selective on what he played when he played, as opposed to just firing you know, anything and everything under the sun. So so far, so good. He's had a lot of success this year, a lot of success on the PGT, in the Poker Grove studio, doing very well overall, certainly taking days off, time off whenever he needed to. He put his WSB schedule out there. You know, the the events that he anticipates he would probably play was a little bit smaller than years past. Believe it included forty five events, you know, give or take. And he, you know, he flat out said, you know, you're like, I'm going to be doing the vlog again, but there might be days when there's no vlog because I might just play because I you know, I mean, we'll see I believe him. I mean, then the reason why I believe him is because we've already seen it on the PGT. He's just flat up. What's the line on days? Miss that said two and a half when he doesn't come into this place two and a half? Would you take underserves? That's the exact line that I would have set. And I have no idea. I'm all in on on this. I mean, it's like going to be two or three. I feel like that's the thing. That's why it such a that's the perfect line. It's yeah, it's I'll say, I'll say over, yeah, it's on this I'll take over well series of poker. So you know, Negron new being top of mind for me, hasn't won a gold bracelet since twenty thirteen. He did win two that year, but not in Vegas. He won one in Australia. He won the WSP Asia Pacific main Event. He also won a high roller at WSP Europe, so did win two bracelets there. As for Las Vegas, he hasn't won one in Vegas in two thousand and eight. You know, you mentioned some of those big names. You know, these might not be the biggest names, but these are names that that I wrote down that are you know, I would say when you when you say when you say this player's name, you probably think like, that's a WSP player, And these are some guys that that have one in quite a bit of time. Of course, negrano I mentioned twenty thirteen. Also twenty thirteen a player who got heads up last year in one Mike the Mouth. Madisow hasn't won a brass since twenty thirteen. Phil Ivey twenty fourteen. Now, of course he's been more touch and go in terms of what he plays, but Ivy has not won a bracelets since twenty fourteen. Jeff Madson came out of the gate hot as all hell back in the day when he was twenty one, won those two bracelets. One player of the Year hasn't won one since twenty fifteen. Robert mss Rocky twenty sixteen. I wrote down Johnson so and I I'm guessing it's Marco Johnson, although I have married. I mean it has to be Marco Johnson twenty sixteen for Marco Johnson, Brandon Shaq Harris twenty sixteen, David Bach twenty seventeen. Yeah, but like what these are like players you don't see anywhere else other than the WYSSIP really right, That's why I kind of and like they they made it was. It was that coupled with the fact that like they made a lot of noise on the wa sphe like brand Jack Harris was like, you know, one multiple bracelets. It was gunning for Player of the Year. Him and George Danzer were going to Australia going back and Forth, you know, like that whole thing. David Bach, like you know, one Bracelets won the fifty k, like you know, he made some noise. He hasn't won one since twenty seventeen. Another one Chrisovich twenty seventeen as well. So you know, those are some of the names and the droughts that have happened, you know that are that are still going. I don't know. I I feel like Daniel's doing it this year, and I feel like he's gonna do it twice at least, like I just I feel it. I feel like i've I mean, I know I've said this in years past that Daniel's gonna win. But this is the year, man, This is the year. I'm telling you, this is the year Quality over quant he is going to do it. DNS is going to be back in that WSP Winter Circle. I am telling you guys, it's going to happen. I would ask producer Rich to insert the music here, but we could get like Royalty Band. But have you ever seen the movie Love? Actually yes, and I don't remember it, and he sings that song Christmas is all around me. It's like I feel it in my fingers. I feel it that's all. When you were saying, like I feel it, I was like, that's all I could think of. Does that sound? Well? My next one is I'm going to bring it home to poker Go a little bit. And I'm kind of excited to you know, maybe this is the mixed game guy and me, maybe this is the poker girl guy and me. But I'm really looking forward to the four days of PPC streaming we're doing, and I'm wondering like how people are going to be like receptive of that, Like it's nothing we've never done before, and I think that's going to be kind of I want to see it, Like I'm going to enjoy that, you know, think of all the table compas we have, hope we get. I'm down on Mixed I just I feel I feel like they kind of they tried to break through and they didn't didn't make it, and there's they're they're just still stuck over there, and well maybe this would Nolan and hold them where it's at is where it's at, Yeah, Pelos. Yeah, I feel like Mixed games kind of got a a bump because everyone was dumping on Nolan and hold them like for there was a couple of years there when everyone's like, Nolan hold them so boring, these guys are all robots, this and that and the other thing, like it's such a big we hate playing, you know, it's just not fun whatever, and then mixed games like we're the fun thing. I don't know. I feel like they never fully broke through, and I feel like Nolan holdenm is fun again. So because you're weird, because you don't like it, because you fold too much, that's a problem. People realize you don't fun fold, and Nolan hold Him became fun again. Who would have thought? Who would have thought? You just stop folding and the game gets fun. Gee, I wonder makes sense? Right? Is that? Is that all you're gonna say on mixed games to no, you maybe know sad now? So yeah, I'm I'm ready to press. And on Miss Lincoln podcasts. The other thing that I'm looking forward to is just overall the state of live poker. I think the World Series of Poker is a very good barometer for what's going on all over the world. We just get to see so much in one place under such a big spotlight that we can really get a good idea of of everything that's kind of happening in the poker economy, both near and far from everything that I have seen, And you know, I pay attention to this stuff as much as anyone. Poker is extremely healthy. Numbers are booming everywhere. Yeah, we already talked about it a little bit earlier on this podcast the casino employees. Was it oney fifteen last year? Eleven hundred and ninety four this year? So nice bump there. So you know, obviously the big talk is the granddaddy of them all, WSP Maine event ten thousand, forty three entries last year. Are they gonna beat it? Are they not? Now? I will say that you don't have to beat it, okay, Like if you get ninety eight hundred, for example, that's still a great, badass number. I mean that's like, that's just what it is. Yeah, it's down two hundred and two to two fifty or whatever from the year before, But ninety eight hundred entries, like, I mean that's incredible. Now if it breaks the record or sets a new record this year, I mean, that would just be absolutely tremendous. But it doesn't have to to be a success, right. The only thing that would make it that you would look at it and be like, it's not a success. Is if it was like seven k, yeah, sixty five hundred, like, but that's never gonna happen. I mean, they're probably gonna have that many through the first three days. But yeah, just so just kind of like just the general state of live poker on how it's going. You know, I mentioned casino employees up pretty good. I think the four ninety three and that five k opener seems like a pretty good number there. You know, you and I have referenced the registration line that we're seeing, you know for the five hundred dollars kickoff. That's gonna be another good test tomorrow. So yeah, you know, in twenty twenty two, there were three WSP tournaments that broke into the top fifteen largest poker tournament fields of all time. In twenty twenty three, three WSP tournaments, one WP tournaments, WPT tournament excuse me, broke into the top fifteen largest poker tournaments of all time. And last year those were or sorry, last year w SIP Gladiators of Poker became the second largest tournament live tournament of all time twenty three thousand and eighty eight entries Colossus also went up from twenty twenty two to twenty twenty three. You had the Mystery Millions when up from twenty twenty two to twenty twenty three. Of course, twenty twenty two was called the million Dollar Bounty that had what nineteen thousand or twenty thousand entries last year? Another another absolutely you know wall bursting field here inside the Horseshoe and Paris. And then of course you know we touched on the wsp Man event ten thousand and forty three entries last year. Not only did set a new record, shattered the previous record, which was two thousand and six eighty seven hundred and seventy six PLO tournaments. We've been talking about this all year. They're absolutely booming all over the place. So I'm excited to see what those numbers do. So just just that general state of live poker, you know, I think it's healthy, but how healthy is it? Right? That's that's kind of what I'm looking at there. Let me throw some numbers at you. Six hundred dollars ultrastack glassius, seventy two hundred players, seven hundred and seventy seven dollars lucky sevens seven thousand, three hundred players four hundred dollars Colossus fifteen thousand players. Now, they didn't really have a similar event to our in the summer, you know, they had to basically we'll call it the Mystery Millions opened it that had eighteen thousand players for one K. Ken Tomorrow's five hundred dollars WSP kickoff two day scheduled event. Would you say it will get over five thousand? Uh, I mean, I don't know for sure, but I feel like if it does, I wouldn't be like, oh my god, I'm so surprised. I have seven thousand seven things. I feel like, I feel like five to five thousand to sixty five hundred is kind of the number. Yeah, I'm more in the yeah, the six to seven K. But like, I think, what this, what this event gets is going to kind of set a baseline for these similar events for the rest of the summer, you know, the Mystery Millions, the Colossus, the those events you know that are in that kind of under one K kind of price point. Well, well, I also talked about it earlier, where you know, there's a lot of people I feel that are if you're coming out for the Mystery millions. Maybe you come a couple of days early, you're UNI five to the five hundre dollars kickoff. That probably applies the other way in regards to the casino employees. Fire the casino employees. Maybe you bust fire the kickoff the next stack, right, do both of those for a thousand bucks boom like that? That seems like a you know, pretty good bang for your buck that casino employees. For a lot of people, a nice little warm up to, you know, a bigger feel the warm up, no warm up to the kickoff. Maybe you know, stretching your handy, you get to pounded through the end zone. Let's go, let's go. So yeah, So so I I think that that could be happening. So I listen, I'm expecting big numbers for this wasipy kickoff. If it gets less than if it gets less than four thousand, I would be pretty surprised. But I don't. I don't think that that's gonna happen. So I mean, we'll see. I mean, like you said, I I do. I do agree that it's gonna set the tone for the summer. Right that that's the that's the event where you know, when we come in here tomorrow. There's gonna be people everywhere. It's gonna be a goddamn zoo here. It's gonna be awesome. It's gonna be great. The hallways are going to be packed on breaks, You're not gonna want to go anywhere, but that's gonna be awesome to see. So yeah, I'm expecting. I'll say, I'll say sixty one hundred. I'm taking overs wonders. I'm bullish, I mean bullish on this event since it was added to the schedule. I'm gonna go with, Yeah, sixty five hundred. Yeah, because this is one you know, I know you've been eyeing it because it's on our schedule to stream it. Yeah, I'm at it today already. Yeah, Tim's out there, like we're probably gonna need an extra day for this one. I mean, these these do play super super fast. But I mean you can play fast, but when you have sixty five hundred playing down to six in you know, twenty something levels, it's not But I think there was a deep stack last year that had a crap ton of players, like five to six thousand, and I think he got done in two days. I mean, they just they play so crazy fast in these but there's a difference with getting done in two days at like where I am, Oh, like you know, getting done in three days at a normal time. Yeah, that's what I'm I mean. We'll see. My storyline was grawan new So this is a nice little lead into what we're gonna talk about next twenty five K Fantasy Yours truly the reigning champion of the twenty five K Fantasy Draft, myself alongside Matt Clark. We took it down last year. We were back to battle this year. Nineteen teams this year, so one fewer than last year. I have no idea who Maria Hoe dropped out, so maybe it's her? Who else? Anyone else dropped off or dropped out? He had a team, Yeah, I don't know that he had a team. We gained one team. Adam Schwartz was in there with a team. Gary Benson, Yes, we gained there, maybe lose we can't get who else do we lose? Oh? Teams of money? He didn't get Martin ze Moni he was one and done. I guess gain though. Who was Team jew dash Ish? Was that that was Soon and Dan Zach? Yeah, Team Dirty Stack. I don't know who that it was dirty stack. I don't know. Team Nori was back, Team Reese was back, Fleischmann back Chip leader coaching. We didn't get chance. We didn't get anyway. Nineteen teams still awesome. The The draft was held in the Poker gro studio. We did live stream it on the Poker Goro YouTube channel, a lot of fun. We got the most expensive player ever drafted in the history of the draft, daniel Le grand I paid one hundred and thirty two buckeroos for him. Not real dollars, you know, fan, I see auction dollars. Was going toe to toe with our colleague here at Poker Go, Brent Hanks, but I won. I was prepared to go to one ninety three and you were gonna have to pry d eggs from my hands and it was not happening. No one, no one in that room is prepared to go as high as I will go. I am that person like no one will go as high as I will go. I want to check right now if he's still in the one who cares he played because we played event one. I'm as happy he played. I'm happy he played, all right. So one hundred and sixteen thousand chips. Let's let's go forty. That's real. So okay, let's just run over who we drafted. You obviously did the auction your duties once again, high your feed feeling. I'll be the draft. I feel like took longer than it ever has four hours. It took so long. Last year was long. I tried to speed it up at points when we were like just you know, once we got to like you know, third fourth round, and then people were bitching I was going too fast, and then I had to saw it back down and like it is the other thing that really frustrates me the most is when people wait till the going on is going twice, I'm about to say saw it, and they bid, like, let's us speed this up. Let's just bid, and then if you're out, you're out. Like it's much better that way. Yeah, I mean, there's just some gazeman ship there. You got to try and make it seem like you're not going way up or whatever. So my team, Team DPMC is back. Daniel Legrand, you one hundred and thirty two dollars. You have a two hundred dollars auction budget to spend on players. You have to have fill a team of eight players. So if you did want to max out on one player, that's why I said the one hundred and ninety three dollars shout out Rich Ryan producer rich Ryan Ivy in The Misfits was our original sort of talking shit plan about this. You know, draft Ivy for one ninety three, get a bunch of dollar players and go from there. So we got Daniel mcgroney for one thirty two, Sean Winter for seventeen, Steven Chidwick for twenty. Then we have a bunch of good old cheapies Sergio Ado Dollar, Andre Corn Dollar, Stephen Song four dollars Steve. If you ask me, Michael Rodriguez, no one's gonna know who that is, but they will have for this year. Won the first ever Badugi event last year. Three dollars for Rodriguez. Dario Alioto one dollar. Pick Why you could have got so many more players for one though I like Dario Ari Ari Angel you could have got for one though Ari Engle is gonna be at the Orleans and the Summer. I don't want I don't want any this year is damn jan you watch yeah whatever Dario Alioto is supposed to be playing like the fifty k PLO. So let's go, buddy, get in there. Let me just look at some of the players here. So as I said, you know, we got the most expensive player not only this year but ever in draft history, one hundred and thirty two dollars. Alex Livingston went the second highest, probably a little bit puffed up because he was in the room bidding on himself. Yeah, one hundred and ten dollars Livingston went for but he's he's ready to go, confident. I think he was out there on social media making a lot of bracelet bets, so he's ready to go. Sean Deeb went for one hundred and four dollars. I think Sean Deeb was a little bit annoyed that he didn't go for more, at least relative to where Livingston and Nigranney went. The thing with Deeve is that he was nominated first, so he kind of set the market there. Once he went for one oh four, I thought that, and then it was him, and then Nigronney was was next. I thought then we would be able to Nigrowney was our number one target. I was like, okay, well we're going to get him. Between one hundred and one hundred and ten. Those two guys always tend to go pretty close. And then with it being either like on the one hundred and ten side or the one hundred side, it just depended how people felt on the ground. Did they say, did they look at him and say, the quality over quantity approach, a little bit of a lower volume on schedule is going to be a good thing for him, or were they like, you know what, I want him playing sixty events? Yeah, you know so, am I Gonna'm not willing to go to one hundred and ten for him? Like I said, we were going to go as high as possible. I did not think there would be anyone that would be in with us. But you know, Brent Hanks, I can't give him full credit. I can't even really give him half credit. I mean, like, listen, he basically Brent Hanks walked up to the side of the pool. He's got his swim trunks on its probably got a tank top, you know, probably a whole bunch of sunscreen on his face. I could see Brent and a bucket hat. He's got a dog in one hand, he's got a beer in the other hand, like and he just dips his toe in the water. That's what he did. He dipped his toe on. You know, I was swimming like a freaking seal in the deep end like I was. I was in there. I was ready to go. You know, I was gonna go as high as possible. I think at one point Brent said one twenty three. I looked at my coner. I said, how high can we go? He said, I don't know, one thirty. I said, one thirty just skipping it, just gonna show you that, I mean it. You got to you got to just lay the hammer down like at some point you gotta be like no. And then I think, you know, some explotas were shouted from from Brent over there. He said one thirty one. I said one thirty two. I said it pretty quickly. I was like, I'm just who cares? Like this guy wants to go? Let's go? And uh yeah, we got him for one thirty two. So I'm in. I'm happy. I think Dan's gonna have a big year. I'm ready for it. So make it happen, Dan eggs, let's go. Our biggest competitor last year was Team Lady Gaga, that is ren Lyn's team he has the third and fourth most expensive player from this year's draft. He got Sean Deep one oh four. He got Yuri's at A Levski aka Ury nerd guy for ninety So, you know, yeah, a lot of expensive players. I was. I was surprised that there wasn't another player or two that went over one hundred dollars. I just thought that like Yuri would maybe get there. I thought maybe jan Viere would get there. Man losing the online hus Yeah, but I don't know. These guys aren't like super crazy online guys. I mean, I bet you everyone in the top twenty bits online guys. Yeah. I mean, but like I feel like a lot of them just like super folks, Like they're not online guys like I would look at Sean Deep as an online guy, like he's like he is playing at least twenty five events online. Well, I don't know, I have no idea. I think so Osmas probably, I mean, I don't know who knows. Yeah, I mean I feel good about our team. I've probably felt as good as I ever have, probably the best I ever have coming out of a draft. Now, that usually doesn't mean a goddamn thing. It probably means that we're gonna bomb because I feel so good. Normally, when you don't feel so good, you know, you kind of do well. So so we'll see. Our biggest gamble was Stephen Chidwick. Now, if Chidwick comes out and is playing a pretty big schedule, he he's the ninety dollars players. To me, yeah, I mean he's he's up there with all the top guys. He's as good, if not better than anyone in tournaments. I mean when they talk about who's the best player in the world, Steven Chidwick is a top three mentioned always, but there's just questions about his volume. He was in trading at Montenegro. He cast he took second place in a Triton Montenegro event two days ago on May twenty sixth, But my co owner Matt Clark said he saw him today and talked with them, so he's here. I was like, you know what if we get Stevie to come out for the twenty five k heads up, I'm in great. That's a win for me. He's already here. Let's go straight off the plane, right to the horseshoe. Let's go Stevie. Very few people love it more than mister Steven Chidwick. So listen, that's a gamble because it's twenty dollars. But hey, I'll take it the other guys. You know, I'm ready to go. We had Steven Song last year. He hit a field bonus for us. Steven Song has scored triple digits. I believe five years in a row. Four years in a row for sure, if not five. So yeah, onres Corn playing a pretty big schedule, playing a lot of the mixed game stuff, Sergio, I know, I mean maybe a little bit of a gamble there because he did. He's still wherever he is playing scoop or he was playing day three of Scoop today, so not here yet but for a buck, no big deal there. We view him as Adrian Motato's light. So so yeah, I'm I'm looking forward to the draft or to the to the sweat you know, all uh all summer long. It's going to be a lot of fun. Dude, does anything like stick out to you? I mean, any salaries high lowick, I didn't like. Look, there was a couple of names that yeah, but maybe just in not nothing that's necessarily our tea in general. There's a couple of names on the list that I thought when for what I thought was maybe too high, but I don't know, Like justin Loberto, seventy eight dollars was number one on my list. Now, the thing is with him is that like in our chat like talking about players and stuff leading up to the to the draft, we all agreed that Liberto would be popular, especially within the crowd that drafts. Like these guys know about Liberto. They know he you know, plays a lot of stuff, plays mixed games, he's a very good player, et cetera. I mean I just thought fifty to fifty five bucks something like that, which is still a pretty hefty price. I mean, that's nothing to sneeze at. He ends up going for seventy eight, which I not that it's a bad buye It's just more than I expected. So that was that's one of that stuck out with me. Arthur Marmas forty seven dollars. Yeah, I have him down here too. I mean he three dollars last time. Yeah, that's just an insane bump. He he talked to some people that we know. I think he might have even said it to me, like he was telling me about a schedule during I think the PGTPLO series, and you know, he said he thought he would be like a twenty dollars player. I mean, I was like, no, you're definitely gonna go for more if you're vocal about your schedule, Like it seems like you're being ends up going for forty seven. So we'll see. I mean, Arthur's a good player, had a big score last year, playing a very robust schedule. This year is a wide variety of games, plays po and we'll play pretty big. So there's also two guys I have here in the thirty dollars range, Jim Callape thirty three dollars to Team Girl Dads and Adam Hendricks thirty three dollars to Team Wilson. I'm not doubting that their thirty three dollars is not the worst value. But I see those kind of guys as who is the other one Jim Callopy and Adam Hendricks as as in that ari angle group of hey, there's something really good value at the win. I mean, Jim Caliby flat out told you and I at the studio during the PGT series that he's just going to value hunt Yeah, anywhere, it doesn't it doesn't matter. So like he's gonna go wherever the value is. Now there is a lot of value in w SP events, right, So if you did draft Jim Callipy, you know that's where you kind of, you know, have some confidence that there is a lot of value in these fields, but now more so than ever and it continues to grow every single year. There's more going on around town. So does Collopy go play other? Does does he venue hop as we call it. So I would be a little bit scared there. Not that he's not a goodbye like you said, it just it it makes you not want to spend as much. We're like a lot of the guys, you know, when we talk to people, you obviously try and get their schedule or whatnot, and then you try and say, you know how much you're going to play at the w SIP and you want him to say nine. Yeah, you know, one hundred percent, like you know that sort of thing. So yeah, on the on the flip side of things, a couple of names that I thought these could these could win someone this fantasy draft. The fact that this guy is playing a five K, no limit hold him event on the opening day. Jason Mercy are two dollars to Team Lang let's see where that goes. Another name, James Obbs if a team no game on a future three dollars said he was so Rubbert Campbell before it supposed to be James Obbs is only supposed to be playing like three weeks or something, but he could say it's James Obbs. We don't know, and then do you have anyone that's yeah, I mean Pads. Pad's a six dollars, Yeah, it could be a pretty big value. He's been like he's been on social media saying like, am I going to go to the was B how much am I gonna be there? Am I gonna go to the Euros Soccer? You know that? That sort of thing. So it's he's a tricky one. Obviously. If Pads comes and puts his heart into it, he's one of the best players in the world and he can play all the games, so what would be great buy there. I know Sean Deep got him and was pumped, Yeah that he got him. So we'll see. I saw today on his Instagram that he busted the scoops and he's like Vegas it is or something. So we'll see if he shows up in the next couple of days. Chris Brewer surprised me. He went for sixty dollars. I thought he would go for more. To be honest, I thought Brewer would be seventy five eighty dollars. So Chris Brewer going for sixty dollars. You know, if he puts in a full volume, I don't. I don't think I saw him at in the five K. But it could just be one of the things where all these guys coming back from Triton, Montenegro not a turn around the time that you know you might like as much. So maybe you take a day or two off to just kind of get yourself reacclimated to being back here for the World Series of Poker. You do have a long stretch of six and a half seven weeks ahead of you, so taking a couple of days off at the beginning not the worst thing. Anthony Zeno thirty one dollars. So I put that in my notes because I feel like that could be a surprise to people given the stuff that was happening, the legal stuff, the you know, the possible stealing of the backpack, the allegations, all that sort of stuff, right, But it seems like he was kind of like on the campaign trail talking to a lot of people, and a lot of people were aware that he's playing, Like he's back, he's playing, right, I know we had him down on our list. Is like, you know, maybe people are going to be off him because they're unsure about him. But yeah, it seems pretty clear that that he reached out to multiple teams and probably told them like, this is what's happening. So he's out there. Daniel Weinman for thirty one dollars. I feel like that's too much. I mean, I don't know, is he he's obviously he's here, he's playing the Champions Reunion. But is that because of the Champions Reunion they bring him out, they say, hey, you gotta calm you're the reigning champ. We got to get you in there. Obviously you get the free buying whatever. Is he just gonna leave tomorrow and go play golf, like, I mean, like, well, yeah, but they go everywhere together now. Yeah, But what I'm saying is that maybe he's going to play a few events, but he's also going to play a lot of golf here. Yeah. I mean, it's like, how I just don't know how much he's playing. I mean, if if he can put it in a decent schedule, more rounds of golf than he does I mean, I think, so does he play more rounds of golf than he's played ten times? He's played ten times, He's played ten times the amount of golf that he has poker since he won the minimum, Like, I just don't and like and last year when he won the min event, like he came out he was like, I'm over it, left and then came back for the main event, right, So it's like, if he was kind of already over it, then now he has all the money in the universe, who cares? Yeah, It's like, is he really just gonna come out here and grind, grind grind? I mean, I don't know. I felt like I felt like his price got inflated a little bit because he was in the room and people saw him. Yeah, but he's been in the he was in the room last night, I know. But and also you couple with that with the fact that he's in the room for a reason because the Champions Reunion is the next day. Yeah, and so it's like, I mean, how like how much stock can you really put into that? So I was a little bit surprised that that he went for so high. I gotta say that was it Team Wilson, who was Scott Wilson and Adam Schwartz just blundered in two spots twice in the draft. First Mike First, Mike Gardinski. We we almost did this last year. Well, Matt, my co owner, almost did this. He threw out Anthony's he know, and he threw him out for thirty dollars, and I wanted to fucking punch him. You alls throw people out for a dollar. I don't care if the next bit is fifty don't like because you there's just something that you might not know. There's always the chance. And for like three seconds, two seconds or whatever it was, there was no no one said anything on Zeno and then finally people started bidding. He went for like forty one dollars or whatever. So fine, but we almost got stuck with him for an insane price, and that could have been that could have really screwed us. Adam Schwartz throws out Mike Ordinsky. This year, Mike Ordensky put on social media that he's probably not going to be playing a lot, you know, like staying home with his family and whatever. And he might play like twelve events. He throws him out for twenty bucks crickets. No one says anything once you know that happens. It's like, I mean, I think he might have gone for like seven yeah, but it's like, you know, you just wasted a bunch of money. Then he did it again with Land and Dice. He throws him out for ten dollars, which I was specifically surprised about Land and Tice because Adam Schwartz does the Dat Poker podcast with Daniel mcgroartney. Daniel mcgroartney was out there on the Poker News podcast alongside David od b Baker talking about specifically Jeremy Becker and landon Tice and how they might not command as much of a price even though there's been a lot about the bet between them and a bet and the bet you know above them, between Burkie and the Granu. That bet that crossbook includes all different properties all over Vegas and it's captain the ten k buy in, So like, why would you put Jeremi Becker in a twenty five kf Like it doesn't count for this bet? What's the point? I mean maybe you do, yes, but you know so so that That's why I thought that that one was surprising. Again, he throws them out for ten dollars crickets, nothing there, so he essentially wasted you know, thirty bucks or twenty eight bucks or whatever if they would have been one dollar players by throwing those guys out. So that was that was a bit surprising. Yeah, I mean, overall, I think it was a good draft. Again, I'm happy with it. Any ODB teams for you, No, I just I've stopped doing the ODB stuff just because then it gets to just be too much. I got players everywhere, I'm trying to sweat all this different stuff. I'll just focus on the twenty five K. I don't even do side bets. I know, I know Matt does a lot of side bets. He's always like, you want to bet, you want to bet? I mean a lot of these guys all do side bets. Yeah, I'm just I'm in on the twenty five K. That's it. You know, Matt can handle the side bets if you want. I do. Want to point out just two little nuggets here, uh Negran you ended up. Niaranni, by the way, wanted to draft himself for the first time ever, So I guess that's a good sign. He believes in himself, not that he doesn't believe in himself, but you know, for the first time ever he wanted to get himself. And then you know, Brent I decided to go nuts. But Nigrano ended up with Shulman. Nick Schulman again. He's had him. He had him in twenty sixteen, twenty nineteen, twenty twenty two, twenty twenty three, and now twenty twenty four. Dan Fleischman Team Fleischman got Phil Helmuth again twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen, twenty sixteen, twenty twenty two, and twenty twenty three. Also now in twenty twenty four, a Fleishman has helped you. So a lot of these guys, I feel like just kind of go after the same group of guys. So so yeah, there's for sure gonna be a lot of potential second guessing with my team. I can already see it happening a lot of wood IFFs. We had such a deep list of like one to five dollar guys. If we needed to go there and it it, we were prepared to be able to go there. That's why we built the list the way that we did. We end up getting to graw on you for the price that we got him at one thirty two. So now I'm thinking, like, okay, we're really gonna need this list. Thank god, we did a lot of research there, you know, we put in the effort, but then we lucked out Sean Winter seventeen, Steven Chadwick twenty and we were sitting really good, right but now you know it's gonna be like, Okay, we got Sergio Aido for a dollar, should we have got this other guy for a dollar? You know, it's gonna be there can be a lot of that because we had like forty guys on that list that there's gonna be like, well we could have had this guy or that guy. You know. So it's but that's gonna happen every single year. So it's just like whatever, you just got to kind of get over it. So one of my like top plans was Negron new and Childwick. So I'm happy that I got that. I think I would have if I'm looking right now, like, who who's somebody that like maybe I would have wanted. I would have wanted Dylan Wiseman. I know you're gonna like to hear that. Yeah, I know, Sean Dee might not like to hear that, but I'm a big Dylan Wiseman guy, I think, especially now more so than ever, with the fact that he's playing more two card as opposed to four card. He's still obviously playing the four card pillow, but he's probably he's playing a lot of the two card. He went over to try and played a bunch of the two card You know, some of those guys over there are the best of the best in the world, so that's not easy. And he's been playing a lot of mixed games on the PGT. He's been playing a lot of cash at resorts like he's in the mixed game streets, and he's a very good player. He's a nerd. I mean that with all the love in my heart, and I'm sure that he would agree. He is a poker nerd. He loves the game, he loves learning about it, he loves getting better. So you know, Dylan Wiseman, fifty nine dollars went to our good friend Team Baker ODB. Mark Gregor is running up that team. I mean, I feel like he's a ninety dollars player like I would have loved to get the problem with him is love to have those seven Palo events at the Poga Yeah whatever, who cares? Who cares? We really wanted Adrian Mataos, but he got to be a little bit too expensive forty five. I mean, Mataos is a beast. I probably would have paid thirty for Mateos, and it probably could have fit within our bill, like we could have got we could have gotten a grand new Mateos Chidwick. So essentially swapping uh Mataos for Winter Winter Place PLO, It's all that I need. Yeah, But I would say that with the counter argument to that or the argument for Mataos, his Matatos is going to be in there in every one K fifty teen hundred and three K. And he that guy tries harder than anyone. He will play the twenty five hundred dollars no limit, like he will play the two hundred fifty K. He will try his ass off. So you know, I can kind of go either way. New team, your guy Gary Benson drafting people out of left field, out of nowhere, somebody drafted, somebody drafted Rob Hollink. That was that was the weirdest thing I've ever seen. I mean, that was King Calous. I believe so Kine just must have some insight that no one, no one else knows about. Renlan's team was just hilarious because he goes out and he gets Seande first first one off the board, one hundred and four dollars. Then he gets Yuri's of Elevski for ninety dollars. He's just he he can't do anything after that. He can do one dollar players. I mean he was riding down. If you didn't watch the stream, he was legit. Tim would be like, okay, you know Rn, you're up. Tim would walk over there his team. There was like fourteen of them there. Okay, they had the four tables they were They would write the name down on a piece of paper and handed it to Tim because they either they couldn't say it or they knew Tim couldn't repeat it if they just said it. Yeah, Wing polu Ye, I'm gonna butcher these. I apologize ahead of time. King Zu dong Chen. I got that one for sure. Renji Mao Yingui Lee Yan Shing Sang, I mean, I, oh, that's Anson Sang. Okay, Anson Sang know him for sure. The other ones, I have no idea. One guy that was like, I don't I don't know if he's any of these guys that we just said other than Anson, but he was in that group of like people that were in Ren's team, and I played at the win the other day with him. He sat down in the win six hundred. He had a Triton like track jacket on, and so I'm like looking at him, I'm like, don't don't recognize him. But you know, he could just have like he could just be a fan of Trite and like got it off the internet, you know, went to the trading store and bought a shirt. But then I see him showing up here. So I'm like, oh, was this good? Like was this somebody? You know? Maybe he was just getting this. Maybe maybe it is. You never know, you never know. So it's gonna be it's gonna be tricky to sweat those guys. You know, it's gonna be hard to sweat those guys. John Reardon King John Rearden of Team DPMA no longer was the third player nominated in the whole draft. Crazy. We saw him today, He's like, who the hell nominated me third? We got him last year for four dollars. He's now an eighteen dollars player in the draft, so which is probably a pretty still normal rule. I mean, listen, Rearden plays a lot of stuff. He's gonna be grinding his ass off. One of the reasons why we we would have loved to have reard in again, but it would have been it would have needed to have been for a similar price to last year, you know, four or five, maybe even six bucks. The reason that we weren't in on him this year one that the price just shot up super super fast and so we were, you know, instantly out. But also the online stuff, as Tim has been mentioning, you know, the online stuff not counting for John Reardan. You know, he he did make a lot of points for us online. He rinds that online stuff all the time. So him not having that is certainly something that we didn't really want to dive into. But you know, no big deal. It's also always like it's also interesting because you know, you talk to these guys like everyone always wants to get drafted, and it's a kind of a big ego thing. I know d X talked about that on the Pogram News podcast. It's like funny because you don't really get anything mean anything. I mean, how about Alan Kessler he was in the run for well you know, you know where Alan Kesler was today. He's at the win. So that was the worst two dollars ever spent as far as I'm concerned. I mean, the guy's not even here. I mean, right, he should be here. He should be firing the five K. What's he like? He's got enough money, He's got to see it in the casino employees. Somehow he's got he he should could for sure get in the casino and police just looking over I might as well look over ODB Fantasy. I want to see who these bonus players are. How many bonus players are there? I don't even know eighty five? Good lord, ODB, what are you doing? Ben Ludlow was one I do, Isaac Campton, John Richards, David fam Andrew ostep Chenko, who is invested in our team, John Little, Ben Ludlow, Reniyah Nazardine, Victoria Lifschitz, Jeff Lennon, Nick cost I mean, or it could be a really good one. She could be. She's already out there in the five K. David Funkhauser and he could be a good one. Cole Ferraro kind of England. They I see they corrected her name. They had her as kind of English earlier. Sean Buchanan. Does that guy play poker Darons anymore? I have no idea. Max Hoffman PGT Mixed Games winner Max Hoffman is out there, your boy, pot limit hold them, Steve Z He's in there. There's no pot limit. He's in there. It's funny. There's there's a bunch of guys on here that were on our cheap list, and I'm not I'm purposely skipping over for their names, so I don't I don't put them out there. But but yeah, Jeff Platt made it. What how did Jeff Platt make it? Two events? Jeff Platt made it, Matt Burkey made it, Nate Silver, Andrew Marino's on there. I think it was on the last year. He's there, Cherish Andrews there, Baldwin, you're going to play more events than Matt Burkey. Won'll say that. I mean that that could possibly be the case. Chris Treeve is on there, Christina Gollands, Christina Hill, Cord Garcia, Dan Lowry. Yeah, I mean it's a good list here. It should be fun for all those out there firing. I haven't looked over the Gregor Rich fantasy the twenty five hundred dollars one, just to see who Sewande most money there. Interesting, the top three are the same, okay, I mean not in the same order, but Shawn Dee most in the Gregorig So the Mark Gregorich, that's what it's called, Fantasy League, Mark Gregorich runs it. Twenty five hundred dollars buying actually took place in the studio right after twenty five K. I have no goddamn idea how light like those people were there thirty not that late. Oh they were flying. Yeah, they went with the I watched the auction. I was like, oh, I need to bring you in next year. You will quit once twice, so I was like, whoa, whoa wow. Shawande went for the most there, Daniel Legran new second, Alex Livingston tied for second, with the Grand New Yuris of LSKY third. All four of those players up over one hundred dollars. I'm trying to see who else. I mean, the the gregorig draft and the twenty five k are are very closely aligned at times, so you know you get a lot of very similar teams. Yeah, similar teams people with people in their drafting him. So yeah, I'm trying to see if anyone kind of jumps off this list as possible sleeper, but I don't really see anyone. Even the Asian guys that that ren Lynn drafted are all like drafted here. I mean, so maybe like those guys just were like, yeah, these guys have to be playing stuff because hold on, did you see this can't be real? Is this real? What am I looking for? Team Oz Gary? Yeah, he drafted in that one too. He drafted Billy the Crock. That's incredible. He's on the list. I can see five dollars, what is happening? He drafted himself though, John Shulman, I mean, oh did he Oh wow? He went he went this this, this dosand scrubs approach you, tim Ausi, tim Os Gary, Yeah, he just drafted a bunch of asses. Nothing wrong with that. What are you trying to say? All right, well, that's a that's twenty five K fantasy. You know, we'll be talking about it, I'm sure on this podcast for the rest of the summer. Really looking forward to hopefully running it back hopeful ly, please please please make it happen. That would just be absolutely incredible.
