Daisy loves hers as a treat, so it's a yummy, yummy. Okay, so we're getting into the holiday season. We were talking earlier about what to get for Chris, well not what together. The question that we asked our social media Warren is when is the appropriate time to put up your Christmas decorations, and among the respondents was my daughter, who just said not yet. So as we think about that, we're also thinking about buying things and how many people buy things for their pets for Christmas. I think a lot of people do, I think the majority. I think more people buy for their their pets than buy for other people. Absolutely, you know, you know what prompted this conversation. We're gonna have it, and it's interesting to me. I want to talk about safety and dog toys. Is the other day I was out in my backyard. Molly and Willy were playing and I found an old toy that they were hidden somewhere god under the bushes, and I took it out and said, man, this is disgusting. So I started putting together what are safe things to look for when you buy a dog toy. First of all, make sure the toy is not too hard. I apply what I call a thumbnail test. If I can push my thumb and it moves a little bit, that's okay, because anything too hard can break your dog's teeth. You want to be careful that it's not too hard. Now, you also want to make sort of not too soft, because if they're too soft, the dog could chew them apart. And this is something that I was unaware of and it's kind of really interesting. It just brought it to my attention. Very often when you buy raw hide, or you buy toys or other treats for your dog, or you know, chewing toys, they're coated with some flavoring or something on them, and that can really support the growth of bacteria, both during your dog chewing or if it's left around things like pigs, ears and noses and all that nonsense. As said, like Jeffrey Dahmer opened the pet store, there's body parts all over the house. But the bottom line is what a visualization then, but it is I walk into a house and there's the ears and no. No, anyway, the bottom line is make sure that you can wash your dog's toys. The way to do that is in the dishwasher. You can put them in there, size and shape. Make sure the size and shape is right for your dog. And most important, your dog's chewing styff the heavy chewis you gotta be careful. But that's really important, Doug, lots of you. They just spoke to my veat the other day, but how many dogs they see where they broke their teeth chewing on toys. They are too hard for them. Now, let's go back to Jeffrey Dahmer for a second. I laughed and sort of choked on that. But think about how many bones you buy for your dog, how many pigs ears do they chew on? And the leathery parts of other bodies. I think there's something to what you just said, right, I never thought about it that way, But if you think about it that way, it's kind of gross. It is. Well, I'm not going to talk, but we know what bully sticks are made of. Right, Oh yeah, no you don't. If you don't know, you don't want to know, Well, there you go. It's a part. I just you know. I give my dogs a lot of different toys. I wrote. That's another thing. Rotate the toys that come addicted to them. I put down six on Monday, I pick them up on Tuesday. I put new ones down, I take those up, put the old ones back on Wednesday. I rotate the toys, just like if you take a toy away from a child, give it back a day later, it's like brand new all over again. All right.
