Hello, getting the interests out of the way. First WSP podcast from what I've now deemed the Poker Girl red Light District because the room that we are stationed in for the podcast has a red light. This is what shines on us in here. I feel like I am in the red light District. I was laughing because I one of my fun things on podcasts, on all the podcasts that I do and that I've done over the years, is I like just screwing up on the fly and like leaving it in. You know, Rich message us today, Rich Ryan, shout out producer Rich. He is like, you know, if you guys ever mess up, just stay stylent for like seconds, then count yourself back in and then go. That's what Rich does on the Gridiron Gamble podcast that he hosts with Me Monore and Brett Coulson. But here effort, We're just gonna roll it in. If it's really bad, I'll obviously count us back in. But you know, this is just you know, I don't know. Tim was laughing because I was like, right every time I'm right before I go on the mic, I like do weird things like move my neck, you know. I was like whipping my head around, like yeah, I gotta get ready to go. Like bringing in with the intro, let's go we are here World Series of Poker twenty twenty three. Baby, Today's show First impressions of being here kind of a kind of a slow ish day, only two events running casino employees in the twenty five K six Max. We'll talk about that stuff. We're gonna go over our first impressions of being here, walking around all that sort of stuff. Tim's got a special family pot. We got a couple of interviews later on. We spoke to defending the BISP minim and champion espen Jor's dad Daniel Rozi and who did I talk to? All Bin Wink? Sorry anyway forgetting what the heck would just happened? We'll talk, well, what's coming up? And then I guess kind of some breaking news happened today. Hustler Casino Live sets the record for the largest live stream cash game pot in US history. So we're gonna talk about that. So, yeah, that's what we're gonna get into. First things first, first impressions. Well, let's do sponsors first. How about that. All right, hopping into the rundown. First impressions, Tim, you go first because you were here way earlier than me, because I overslept my alarm for the first time in like three years. That was a disaster today and it's thrown my whole day off. All day. Everything is just I was like walking around my house as when I set my alarm for eleven thirty. I got home yesterday, I went to bed at two am after the twenty five K draft, I set my alarm for seven thirty, thinking I had to take my daughter to school. I wake up at ten sixteen freaking out. Dogs are still in their crates going crazy. I'm like, shit, where's my daughter? So I go into the room. She's not there. Next time, my wife you took her right, like just making sure that that's okay, and she didn't like climb out of her crib and like go downstairs some crazy way. So yeah, so I'm like freaking out. Then I was like I was walking around downstairs. I would like go do something, and then like start doing something else and like forget about the other thing that I was all over the place this morning at home. It was so hard to contract. I was just I was totally effed up. It messed up my whole day. Then I get the Starbucks. I stopped at Starbucks by the office because I had to go to the office because I left my badge there. Had to go get my badge. Do that. Stop at Starbucks in the way, there's two people in the drive through line, me and another guy, and he's in front of me. Tell them my order. I pull on up. He's there, so first like red flag is the woman inside is like trying to hand him back his card, and she like has her hand out the window, and I can see her because she's kind of leaning out the window. She's leaning out the window for like a full minute and a half, like and he's like, I don't know, I couldn't really see him, but he's like, mustn't not been paying attention or whatever. So then he like then she like pulls the card back. She's like sick and tired of like leaning out waiting for him, and finally he turns back. She gives him in the cart. Then he gets out of the car. I'm like, what the huh gets out of the car. Yeah, he just gets out of the car. He like kind of looks at me because I'm like looking and yeah, then he just opens his back door and like goes into his back seat. For like two minutes, the person is at the at the window with his drink and he's just like rubbinging through his back seat. I'm like, what the hell is happening? What you though, because you have to drive through window? Right, No, that was part of That's part of the reason why she was leaning so far out the window. He was like he was like two feet away. So when he opened his door, at first, I thought he was like opening his door. Some people open their door so they can then like grab whatever they're reaching for. A lot of people do that when they go to the atm blah blah blah. Yeah, he's just rummaging through his back seat. Then he like he found you know, he found his his EarPods once and he pulled them out, shuts his door, like gives me this look. He gave me a look like yeah I was doing that. I was slammed, and like the person's there with his drink. I was like, what can you just freaking go? Like, what can we just not with this stuff? So anyway, go ahead with your first impressions. My first impression is that the WSAP is finally here, but that's not finish. But it's not really here because this room was sitting in the horseshoe mainstage were still building. It doesn't quite feel like we're ready. So my first impression is but that's how it is every year, I know, but like I just had higher hopes to see. We were in earlier. We were so motivated to get stuff done. We had some issues, and we're on track, which just I just really wish today the lights are on. You know, it was a it was a full full steam ahead, but we're not alas. I'm very happy, I'm very excited. The World Series of Poker is on the way. There's already huge fields in the first two events. I texted you and I woke up late and you were already here and you're like, it's packed here whatever you said, because the lines were like at the door. I'm assuming not just all for the the casino employees, but I'm guessing a lot of people. You know, why the lines are out the door. Because we've been telling people on the podcast specifically specifically the fifty plus Questions podcast, is you know, this is when you registered day before night, before you know, you do your Bravo count all that sort of stuff. So it's it's it's because of us. It was jam packed today. Um so I get here. My first impression first of all, is the trailer is about half a football field further away than it was last year. That's annoying because it's odd as hell out. Get the steps? How many steps town? The steps? I'm all for the steps. I don't have twenty thousand. I think I have eleven because you were sleeping for half of the thing exactly, and I didn't go for my morning walkouts. Everything was just a disaster. Like I said, Um, I'm all for the steps, but I hate the day one steps and the final day steps because I'm like walking in here with all the crap. I got a podcast equipment, I got this, I got you know, because like we put, we leave a lot of stuff like in here, like you know, set up and whatever. So I have all that stuff with me, like I'm with cameraman John from Anyone watched the vlogs last year. They know cameraman John and he's got like six bags, like he's got a whole bunch of stuff, and we've got to walk up that ramp. And I'm just like, what's see? This is the way you guys are just not as experience as me when it comes to us here as a poka, I came in yesterday and set up, and as I'm a procrastinator, as a father of two, I have one of those Costco little you know, the little trolleys or whatever you get that you put the stuff in when you go to the beach. Yes, I loaded that up. I dragged away too smart. I dragged up the ramp backwards. I did my you know, my knees over toes guy's exercise, walked it in, set up yesterday. So today just came in with a backpack. Everything's ready to go, my screen, everything. So after I get inside, I'm like, you know what. I step into the horseshoe room. What's this room called the what's this one called the horse ballroom? Yes? I think the ball run. First thing, brand new carpet, and I'm so happy, like I'm the carpet. Last year when you could tell it was there for probably twenty five years. It felt like concrete because clearly a million people had walked over it for so long. This carpet, this new carpet. You can tell it's fresh. You can tell it probably doesn't smell super bad now that I got down on my hands and knees and smelled the thing. But you can tell it's it's like springy, so it's good on the joints. Like I'm happy to start, you know, walking all over the place. Love it. We started walking around. I mean it's much of the same, but also improved. It's a little improvements. Like all the champions banners are fully like reprinted and updated and look much cleaner. Like that's a great pictures of change of players at you snartists, Yeah you go. They have that little shop that Chad Holloway tweeted the other day. Um, they have the little shop out there. They got even the kiosks look like the kiosks that are like or refurbished or whatever. They have a potential mystery millions veal booth already they have like a booth in the middle of the Paris room. I almost said pavilion in the middle of the Pari in the middle of the Paris Ballroom and the outside is like wrapped in like an led wall. So that looks like cool and modern, Like the King's Room is is going through a little renovation. They got some photos around that that it's pretty styling. That's great. Um the back to the Horseshoe ballroom. They have the Horseshoe table, which had two feature tables in it last year. This year it's got one the tables like a little bit of a more robust table. It's a little bit bigger. That's where Remco and I are going to be doing a lot of streaming on YouTube from So yeah, So overall, like I'm pretty pumped about everything. Feels good to be back. It's still a giant painting the ask to walk through that casino with all that smoke. But other than that first impression good. It seems like everyone is really gearing up to have an absolutely banger of a Mystery Millions Mystery Bounty Tournament tomorrow. Yeah. Fourteen thousand, one hundred twelve was the number last year. I think it's going to be bigger this year. The good turnout in the twenty five K six Max the structure sheet for that tournament because it all the structure sheet always has last year's champion on it, so looking it up, it says this is a new event for the twenty twenty three BISP. Yes and no, because that the twenty five K six max was on the event previously, like Dan Kelly won it that one year. Yeah, you know so, I think when Dan Kelly wanted it had like one hundred and ninety players or so. The entry list that I saw when we left the tournament room today one hundred and eighty seven, so pretty good there. Casino employees tops one thousand entries in that tournament. Um. I mentioned Chad Holloway heading into the last two levels of the night, Chad Holloway still had chips. We know he was in the money, and he was in the money. Yeah, we know Chad Holloway won the tournament years ago, so he's looking to win it again. I think that tournament had the largest field size it's ever had since two thousand and seven, so very good turnout there. Two thousand and six was twelve thirty two. Two thousand and seven as you just touched one thousand and thirty nine, and previous best to that was nine hundred and thirty in two thousand and eight. Okay, I like, yeah, what was what's the number for this year thousand and fifteen? Like one twenty six K in the prize pool, seventy five K to first. Good number. It's a very good number. As I mentioned, the twenty five K high Roller six Max kicked off. You know, the who's who of Polker is out there other than Phil Ivey because he's for some reason down in Mexico playing some WPT event. I don't really know what's happening. I went all the pacers he is. He was playing like the five K ray Masterial Mystery Bounty tournament off the top rope. I think it was honestly called like Bounty Mysterio. Yeah, you know, so it's the ray Masterio Junior Invitation as far as I'm concerned, Husband, George, Dad was in the field. High talk to Bin Wang, who's been down an absolutely heater all years, heater this last month. And then you talked to Daniel Rozzi. He finished as the chip leader was at one point four just on the one point four million. Yeah, so absolutely crushed. Throughout the day. We had four people in the field from twenty five K Fantasy. I think only two hour left. Sam's Olvil I didn't see him. Sean Dee looked like he busted right before the end of the night. John reard and bagged. And I think Stephen's song just bite losing a really big pot in the last level to Brock Wilson. I think double with her kiddie Ku after that. Perfect, Let's go Stephen's song. And but I think you can reintern this one, right, it's not a freeze out. Yeah, you can register up until tomorrow. Daniel was in for two bullets, so I'm assuming Shawn Deep will get back in there. Hopefully Sam's Ovil gets back in there, just selfishly for the twenty five K Fantasy team. But yeah, I know you spoke to Espen George ad kind of early on in the day. So let's let's play that interview now and then we'll come back and we will talk a little bit more about this event and then get into the other interviews. Espen, welcome back to the Horseshoe, Paris, Las Vegas, And I also want to say welcome home. I feel like this might be your home away from home. Yeah, thank you. No, it really feels kind of weird to be back. Actually, I just landed one hour ago, took an Aubrey here and I'm straight than the first tournament, and it feels really feels really nice actually to walk through the holes again. It feels like no time has passed since last year. It's been kind of a yeah, hectic year, so to say. So, yeah, really nice to be back, excited to play. Let's talk about that feeling. And when you walk back in here was a you know, butterflies in the stomach. Was a sense of relief that you know, you're back to where you've had so much success in you know, a year ago to this date. Kind of butterflies, Yeah, kind of butterflies. I just came off like a one month long online series Grind as well. So I've been playing a lot for the last month, feeling really sharp and feeling really good ready to play again, which which is a really nice feeling because for the last year I haven't been playing and studying as much as I was hoping too. I've been so busy with all kinds of other things. So yeah, it feels really nice to actually be back in the form that I wanted to be back. I was a bit like afraid a couple of months ago that I was going to be here and I was like, not going to feel sharp, not going to feel ready to play. But now I'm ready. So yeah, I fel it's good. I've been sitting here when I for you to, you know, finish that that level. I've been watching this thrill team add on the TV up here, and yeah, and I'm wondering it's a little bit more pressure on you to perform now that you're part of this thrial team with some other you know, absolutely fantastic poker players. Um, I don't think so it's not for me. Maybe I don't feel it anyways, I feel a bit of pressure, just like in sense of since I didn't win last year, it would be a shame if I come back now and have a horrible summer and just break every tournament, because like there is always that thing where you don't want to be seen as a fluke like you there is like some ego and expectations in there. So I guess I want to have a good summer in terms of that. But yeah, I know it'll bit fun. So you do have two bracelets you just talked about, you know, don't want him to be a fluke. Is this, you know, winning a third bracelet, winning a fourth bracelet? Is this something that you're really pushing hard for this year with a big schedule, or you just trying to you know, play it as it comes. I'm just gonna play it as it comes. I'm not going to hop into a bunch of events. I don't feel like I have any business playing like. I won't play like a bunch of the mixed game stuff just to chase bracelets. Last year was my first World Series and I never really thought about bracelets before that. Neither. I have a couple, and it feels like I should be trying to get more. It's kind of like a fun thing to try to get more. But I'm not like so um so worried about it. And I'm gonna play like a bunch of stead events in eight game and whatever. I'm just gonna play all the hold of events, probably play yeah every reasonably sighest hold them events and then yeah, all right, that was espin George had finished. I think we had like five hundred maybe I think I saw him bag yeah, I think yeah, I think double Jason Curree. I think four sixty three or five sixty and then I think you want another part after that? Um, so the champions starting off in the right direction. Um, at least so I thought it was a good tournament field. To walk out there and then look around it seem like a whole bunch of crushes every Well, of course, it's just the same. It's the best, it's the best tournament. We've always wanted that tournament to come back like it was so good. Um. Phil Halmith was out there, daniel LECGRONI was out there. He busted at least one bullet and got back in. Ben Lamb was out there. You know who was else was out there? We got to talk about it, Jake Schindler. I thought you're gonna say a different name, But yes, we didn't need to talk about who was the other name? Stephen Chidwick, Stephen turning up guy everyone thought wasn't turning up. And then you know, my teammate and Matt Clark texts me that I just walked by Stephen Chitwick in the hall. Him, that's like the best twelve dollars ever spent in the draft wherever the heck he went for. But Jake Schindler, like it was a big question mark if he was gonna play, if he wasn't gonna plays right now. On Jake Shindler being in the twenty five k field, listen, Jake Schindler can obviously do what he wants. Yeah, it's his right to come play if he wants. I mean, I don't know the allegations that are still kind of hovering over him, I mean the whole Holley and Jake, because you know they're they're always said in tandem, like it's all always kind of just it's there. People wonder like why they're still allowed to play certain places. I mean, I don't know. I mean, they're obviously not banned from playing here, so they're gonna be here. I don't believe Ali was playing today. I didn't see him, don't see any of the chip counts or anything like that. So speaking of the chip counts, Jake wasn't even in the chip counts. And I'm pretty confident that the Pokiness Lab reporting team wouldn't know who Jake is and they don't made the decision not to put him in. I don't I don't fully agree with that. I don't like it. I mean, I used to run the poker news team. So I feel like I can speak with experience from the situation, but I mean, you just you cover it. And also it's kind of good for clicks. I mean, you know, people are gonna want to anti sweat the guy probably. I mean, I don't know if I would go that far, but um, I thought it was interesting that he was there. Um, he didn't have headphones on, which when he played last year at sometimes he had the headphones other than when he made a final table and then obviously one of the breast he did have his headphones. He just you know, So I didn't see anyone have any conversations with him. I didn't see anyone, you know, come at him anything like that. I didn't really see too much stuff on social media about it. But it's just interesting to me that it's the first day of the World Series of Poker and Jake Schindler's here and he is playing, so, um, that's interesting to me. It looked like he bagged a somewhat decent stack of chips, So we'll see what happens from here on out. So, you know, I think it's one of those situations where people are going to be watching to see what happens, and that's kind of my stance on it. So so I would personally like him to make the money, and no, just because I want to see how the Twitter world reacts to Jake. Because you and me can talk about what we think of Jake or what we you know, our friends think of Jake, but I want to see what this high roller community does if he makes a ron gets in the money, are we gonna hear the and be quiet? And that kind of means nothing, I will say. I will say kind of along those lines that it's it's interesting that, you know, there's always a lot of pushback that like you need to do this, you need to do that, you need to restrict these guys from playing this or that or all this sort of stuff. But then and all that stuff happens on social media, but then they show up to play in events and no one says anything. Nothing he happens, So you know, I don't I don't know. That seems always kind of weird to me. But he's out there playing, so you know, we'll see what happens with him, you know, going forward in this event. And then I'm guessing, listen, if he's here for day one of the twenty five K I'm assuming he's playing all the high roller stuff. Like, I mean, I don't see why he wouldn't at this point, especially I would I could maybe see if if he came out played this event and like some people were kind of coming at him at the table or stuff like that, then it's like, Okay, I'm just gonna go back home and the heck with it. Maybe I'll come back off of the main or something. Who knows. But he's there and he's playing, and I didn't see anything happen. I don't think you saw anything happen or heard of anything happening. So I'm assuming he's just going to continue to keep on grinding. So and listen, think what you want of him. I still think he's experienced and skillful in poker, right, so we might see some pretty big results from him this year, So just be prepared for that would be my kind of a suggestion to everyone, you know, don't be shocked to see Jay Schindler's name out there running deep in some of these high rollers, because he's out there day one playing this twenty five K six max high roller, all right. One of the people that we spoke to Ben Wang I spoke to him after play was over. Ben has been on an absolute heater this entire year. Won a million dollars at the Borgada back in January, won more than a million dollars when he took down the WPT seminal event just earlier this month, just a few days ago, because the WPT delayed that final table and they had it out here. He also was doing this crazy thing where he was not only the chip leader heading into the seminal final table, but also the WPT chalked out final table. I think he finished fourth in that one for one hundred and seventy five K, hundred twenty five K something like that. Um, so you know, another six figure score there. That event was won by Jared Jaffee. So bins on an absolute heater, and that's pretty much we talk about. All right, I'm here with Ben Wing. First question for you, is the heater real? Yes? One hundred percent? Yeah, I'm I'm I know I'm running soap here even today. I hate one outer two outers. I had a pucket three I ributing earlier with twenty men and Anthony who called I mean reached out with the Kings and I hit my three on the front, of course, hold up, and then come to this table, come to table twenty eight and I down to sixteen big Brian's eighty one thousand, and I from hijack, I just opened to uh fifty one thousand, almost all my chips with the pocket fives bottom Hampton ice to Hampton reach Off on top one seventy five author for he's uh last name he full bed reach off from a small brime and of course I have to call I put most of my chips in and I call the fives. They have a tense and Queen's the kind of the ace King dues too. Hearts turned with a kind of eight of hearts, and then I don't do one out in the river of course five over club one outer And has it just been going that way all year for you start starting back in j nine with the million dollars with amount of a time, Yeah, this year, I would definitely say I try to play beastball, of course, but I know a lot of big spot just gets super extremely lucky for sure. Well, you know, a lot a lot of tournament players will tell you that you have to get lucky in a lot of spots. You know, you can play so well, but you can also get unlucky. But right, I mean, I mean, I guess, what's what's the feeling right now? Knowing you're running super pure, coming off the month you just had, coming off the year you've had so far, coming into the biggest time in poker, the World Series. Um, I honestly the only with you. I just want to I just want to play my normal game. But um, but but I will definitely try to play more a little bigger buying because I really feel and I am. I'm I'm some kind of hitter of course, night like um, you as a poker prayer, Like everybody knows now, you have to try to play your best. But sometimes if not your day, no matter how hard you try, you will you are not winning a tournament. I mean everybody knows that. So by being said, I know I'm super lucky this year so far, I'm winning about three or four major events. I mean, I'm I'm super than for so far. So hope last year last summer are doing really bad for the summer WSP, So I hope this year kind to be doing a way better than last year. You got any goals for this year? Final tables, bracelets, everything. I hope I can get one bracelet because I get a TOPPT title, I get a major event, the return, I got a circuit, the best secuit ring, So I really really want to bracelet it. That would be complete my one of my big dreams. What looks like you're after a good start back just about a million chips here on day one. Tough tournament overall, I mean, how things started for you in this specific event. This is definitely one of the toughest event. I pray CCRE so far because there's all the top pros in her Jason con Alice foxon, um many of them, I says, I said, ums last name the big name the I said, Isaac Haxton has him Yeah, and I the many many of them feel him there then on the ground, all the top ros. It's a very tough feel for sure. So I just try to pray my best of best, try hard, composer focused. Do you feel like you belong here? I've but do you know you can answer yes? I feel and I I think I'm probably doing better than last year. All right, that was Ben Wang. I think you guys can hear it kind of like in his voice and what he was saying that he's pumped to be here and he wants to win a race. It's so bad, So it would be the perfect cherry on top of the most insane. Yeah, pretty insane year on the tour. And I mean you guys heard him describe it there. He basically hit a one outer you know, three way bodies running hot, like he recognizes that, but that's what it takes. In poker U he bagged just under a million chips, so he's one of the one of the bigger stacks in the room. So you know, we'll see what happens with Ben Wing going forward. He's gonna play a lot of the bigger events. He thinks it's kind of his time. He wants to capitalize on that good variance. You know, when things are running hot for you, you want to be able to play as much stuff as possible to capitalize on that that run of good luck. And that's what's Ben's gonna do this summer, it sounds like, So you know, I would very much to expect to see him running deep in a lot of stuff. I'm going to be certainly one of those people to watch overall. And then you spoke to Daniel Rozsi afterwards as well, the chip lead hip leader who had he had a ton of chips. Yeah, just under one point four million, basically ten x starting stack. Amazing. Yeah, So we'll play that interview for you now and then we'll come on back here with Daniel ROSI looks like you're going to be the chip leader here. Just a little bit under one point four million. That's ten x starting stacks. So it walk me through your day real quick. I mean I played like a three hundred big plan pot in level one that just got like kind of a gift, and then afterwards I didn't have to do a bunch honestly, I made just like very often the nuds and got paid. It was like one of the smoothest days I actually had. Let's see how I can handle that stack tomorrow and what I can get with it. This is a new event for this year's World Series. Some might say it's probably one of the tougher events. Twenty five K high roller and a six max. What did you think about the players in the field today and the competition. I mean it's like you like usually WIPE events are very diversified, so you have like a recreationals and obviously the top pros. I really like the event. I'm online players. I have like a bunch of like six mix experience too, and I really like the event. You play more hands, everything is faster, more space. It's definitely tougher than the eight max last year. But hey, we got one eighty seven entries and probably an out of thirty tomorrow. That's a great turnout, a great event. Yeah, obviously you just touched one hundred and seventy eight one hundred and eighty seven engines. Sorry in this event. What are your thoughts on the whole World series? You think we're gonna have record breaking numbers throughout the whole the whole summer. I'm pretty sure about that. Like last year was already good and it was like just to comeback from COVID. People are excited about the series. I mean, I'm playing since a while for a living. I'm still get like excited and HiPE. Yesterday night, I was like watching replays from your last year, just like exciting times. Going on, the summer is like like a boot camp for everybody. Everybody tries to play their best, do their best and get some touch on that gold bracelet. You played in these events, you know, big mine events all around the world. I have to ask this European ends of versus Americans, who's better. It's honestly tough. It doesn't come so so like down to country, like the Europeans were like way ahead, Like a couple of years ago, we were like dominating everything. Now I have like a bunch of friends here in America, the really good Rex that catched up. They even kicked ours like the last twe or two years and high roll events. So it's like some people coming up like me, some other friends who are all like doing the putting the organ and try to like um, defend our name. All right. That was chip leader Daniel Rosii. I mean, I'm pretty confident saying chip lead. Sometimes it changes overnight. But I didn't see anyone with nearly as many ChIL We did a good walk. There was a lot of you know, one million chip stacks. It looks like, you know, he pretty much ascended above that and claimed that Chiplate Sean winter had a lot of chips. Looked like Daniel bagged fairly healthy stack. I don't think he was close to a million, but I think he was with five hundred K. Think Brock Wilson because he got that late double love through Stephen's song, bagged a lot of chips um. I think es been doing pretty healthy. I saw Jason Kuhn bag chips who was justin Leboto one point one million? Shouldn't one point one million, shouldn't rocking the no gamble, no future patch beautiful? Um. I think Wren Lynn bag chips. I mean he was hanging around the end of the night. I don't know why you would be hanging around at the end of the night if you didn't bag chips um, So he was out there. I didn't see Dan Smith, didn't see Scott sever I saw Scott Stever. He did into the room neither very end of play and then walked out. You know who we didn't see. But it is back in Vegas. Gussie Hansen, the Great Dane has returned. He's back. He's probably only going to be in Bobby's room all summer, would be my guests or Frost. However long he's here, we'll get him for the PPC. Don't worry. Um. Who else was out there today that you got the chip counts up? I didn't even Steven chide Wick. That's the name we care. But did he bag chips that I cannot remember exactly. That's why I told you chips, I don't pull them up, Yeah, pull pull the chip counts up. Um. They played what eight levels today? Levels today? Registration is still open till tomorrow before the side of play. For those you were talking to. You were talking to Adam Hendricks on the way out earlier when he busted. He said there's gonna probably be a lot of people that that. I thought there might be a lot of people. He was like, they might be, but they're probably all going to be crushes. I don't know if I'm gonna re end. Yeah. I don't think more casuals are waiting till last minute. I think casuals kind of coming earlier and try and play a little bit deeper and try and spin up a stack and you know, get some more you know, bang for their buck. Yeah. In that regard, you know, late late registrants like I could see Dan Smith late, Sam Silrol played today busted. Maybe he comes back, you know, maybe Hendrix comes back. Who knows Sean de busted super later. I would guess he probably jumps back in I didn't see Jeremy Osmas there at the end of the night, so maybe coming back a couple of other people that bag chips Philip Helm with Junior. Of course, Philip pack chips Um one of my favorite players. A little bit though. I'm a little bit upset with phil He didn't wear the white Gucci suit. I thought that was the new suit. Yeah, that's his correct. I thought that was the new the white magic like that's I thought that was it. No, he's back to his black track suit that he's been wearing for seven years. I thought he was gonna rock the white Gucci su A big fan of that white Yeah, I love it hideous. I love it is so bad. It is so bad. I would wear it every day. Someone wants to buy that for me, I will wear it every day. I think he said it costs four k. Was he was either four k or seven K and Jason Calcannis bought it for him. Jason, if you would like to buy me that, I will wear it every day of the World Series, No questions asked um. Who else back chips Um year of Nacho Nacho Barbero, we just made helmet. One of my favorite players, Adrian mateos um you know you already touched on Stevens. So I'm gonna throw a shout out to podcasts some pedro bronkman. I saw him in this field. I'm like, what are you doing? And he's like, you only get two cards, man, not five? And he told me he's not. There's not only two. He told me. He basically doubled up firsthand, wrote it, went down a little bit, wrote it back up. But yeah, he's he's in, uh into day two today. Chips. I did not see him back Chips, Kitty coded Coup. I saw. I saw Alex Foxon standing around and he was just in Foxon playing Christen Foxon. Bag Chips. Yeah. Um, Keith Leah the Jet, the lear Jet, Yeah, he was in. He had a lot of heady. Deep was in the Yeah. I mean it's just legendary. I saw Nick Schulman. We saw him. We were we were loving his sunglass choice for the day, Our Lord and Savior. He backed Chips Carycats. I don't think Nick bag chips. Nick did not, That's what I was gonna say. But so he might come back tomorrow. Um Lucky Chiwi was in there. He bag Chips carry cats, as you said, our Lord and Savior. He did bag chips, right, yeah, he do, all right? Think just so the starting stack typical, beautiful carre. Did you say to you about his raising the draft? He went for thirty five dollars. I think he said that it was too expensive. I told him it was too expensive to face and what did he say? I just laughed. I'm surprised. I'm not five yet, but we were just having a little jog back and forth. So um, but goodfield. Yeah, on hundred I think you touched on it. One hundred and seventy four players you know right now? Sixty five remaining. Dan Kelly topped a one hundred and ninety one player field to win his twenty five k uh six handed bracelet. Correct. Can you name anyone else on the fine tape? There's some very random Daniel Legron you got eleven yep about that. Sam Trickett, he was close, Well, you know what, probably technically yeah, seven. There's there's two people, three people. I don't think you would get one. We just one. We said his name when discussing Phil Sternheimer. Michael Turret yep. Um. Other one didn't even know he played no limit hold him, didn't know he played No previous Player of the Year. That's a lie. I know he plays in the lemon hold him, but previous Player of the Year has been in our studio recently. Jesus, it's not Tom Schneider. Correct, but you're right there. That's exactly where you need to be. What do you what does that even? You mean? Trust me? This is horrible. Producer Richards listening to this, screaming, this is horrible radio. I'll give you another one. He was recently on Poka nine in America. Stream made a return. It feels like a return to poker in a way, but not a return to I feel like it's a return. You not see him that often. I'm too busy in the bedding streets. No idea. You know him? Who? Jason Somerville, Oh guy, I was talking about. Frank Casella finished third. Jason Somerville didn't win Player of the Year. No, Frank Casella did. He was the one that was right. Oh you said, I'll give you another one. I thought one. And then rounding out the final table, Eugene catch Love six points, Catchelove, Who's not coming this year? Correct? One one point three one five millions, such a six final table. Yep, I think that it'll get more than whatever. It's gonna smoke it. We're getting forty players tomorrow. There's gonna be a lot a lot of these guys. We see it every year now, they do this whole day two late ridge thing. You know there's a line. There's gonna be a line people WSP is not gonna be read because they're probably gonna think there's nothing, gonna be seven people and then they're gonna see forty seven people in freak out, have to open up all they have to redraw people and people around. They're not gonna know where to go because it's it's rejoining it to the King's lounge. So I beg you a lot of these high roller players line up for the Tournament of Champions or something and they start freaking out. So I think we're gonna see a delight start. That'll be fun Tomorrow. It's gonna be fun start. They're starting at noon, so delight start won't be too bad. Not a big deal. Um, you said we had a family pot. I did, so we gotta we gotta like kind of rewind it and talk about the family pots. Um is it worthy of the jingle. You know what, I haven't heard the jingle in a while, all right, So that's the rich This is when you should insert the jingle. Went to get lunch today about three pm and started to go down the subway. It took the long way, the long walk. I have no idea where this is going, and I'm walking. I don't know, I didn't just trying to figure out how this is going to turn into a family part because you're already here at the ws B and your family is not here, so continue. I'm walking down the whole way to a subway and then to the side, I look and I see a goddamn dinosaur. A dinosaur, And I'm like, what do you mean? You see it? Like a like A yeah, you'll see it. WHA, You're gonna have to go check this out. And I look in and they have a new exhibition downstairs at the Whole Shoe called Dino Safari. It's a walk through adventure for kids. It's like twenty five bucks a ticket. There's all these like, you know, realistic looking dinosaurs. There's a whole bunch of like virtual reality off and fossils and learning, and I'm you know, my son's huge into dinosaurs right now, and I couldn't help, but I had to step in. I got a little brochure, I asked some questions, kept walking. I saw I saw this little bit of an arcade. I saw, did you pay it? If? I don't know, I just I just like stepped into the fight. I didn't actually attend. Why would I go without my son? You're talking about like you're about to walk through the whole thing. I was just wonder what was happening. And then I won't got subway. I was walking back and I was just looking in again. I was like, this is cool. I have to bring Caleb here. And then I thought there's probably a lot of people out there that coming to Vegas, coming to the Horse Shoe that have some kids, and you know, obviously we're here playing poker. But I just wanted them to know that if you want to bring him to the Horse Shoe, you want to go see you have a dinosaur afraid But I'm going to throw some more things at you. Okay, there's an arcade here. There isn't a being in that arcade. I've lost some money in that arcade. And then there is a mini golf. I think it's like Twilight Zone mini golf. Do you think there's a lot of money lost in that arcade? Like betting wise during the world. Do you think like poker players go down there and if they know about it, I'd ski ball for money. I think it'd be a great place to relieve some like stress. There's probably some like you know what those boxing games should have one of those um those rooms, those like rooms smash smash room or wherever are you just going you just destroy? It could be it could be here in this red light district, could be in the red Light dish. But if you have some kids, you're here, there's some stuff to do. You could maybe let them go to the Ark and the Twilight Zone and then meet them for dinner, break and then let them mom take them back to the room. But there's some cool stuff. Yeah, And I'm gonna bring my son one day. I'm gonna spend probably twenty five bucks on a ticket for each of us, probably have to buy him some plush dinosaur and I'm gonna begin I'm gonna have to gonna take them the RK. I'm probably gonna be buried two hundred dollars on horseshoe exhibition stuff, and yeah, that's how they get my money. Crazy, I'm gonna have to go down there and check out this, dinosh. I think, all right, what's coming up on the schedule. We already talked about day two of the twenty five K six Max. You're gonna have day two of the Casino Employees event. The Tournament of Champions kicks off tomorrow. You also have this start of the Mystery Millions, that is the Mystery Bounty Tournament thousand dollars buying. They will have a guaranteed first place prize of one million dollars and a top bounty prize of one million dollars. I'm looking forward to. I'm looking forward to just kind of seeing the spectacle play out of that event. They make a promise to you right now, Yeah, go ahead, because I might play it. I hope. I hope you do. If I pull that bounty. I'm buying us both the Phil helmet Gucci track suits. I'm wearing it every goddamn day at this place. I'm a promise, Okay. I like that. The first Poker Go streams start on Thursday, June first. I say streams plural because there is going to be one poker Go stream on the poker Go platform that is behind the paywall. That's a pretty badass. And then we're also going to have a second stream is going to be taking place from the Horseshoe Final Tables what we're calling it. That will be handled by Remco Rinking my and myself over on the poker Row YouTube channel. If you have multiple screens, fire them both up because we're gonna be going in two spots. Just make sure that you're listening to Remco and I and not the other guys, because you know we're more more fun. Oh, we gotta talk about hustler scene alive to it because you know, they just decided to set the record for largest yeah, largest pot in live stream US poker history something like that. I will say this, it is a pet peeve of mine when they say or people say largest pot in televised poker history. This wasn't on TV. It was on YouTube. Okay, so let's just be clear. Our pot also was not on TV. It was on poker Rill and YouTube. So this is just live stream, live stream pot. Like that's just I feel like you're in the minority on this. I don't care. This is how I stand. I'm pretty sure Jeff Platt agrees with me, and that's all that I need. So the hand that happened, they're playing what were they playing? What were the blinds five hundred thousand with the with the two K they're playing the stand up game, but they don't stand up, so it's kind of tricky. Yeah, Tom Dwan is the straddle. Okay, so the two main figures in the pot, there's actually three main figures in the pot. Should we wind it back a little bit and talk about the other hand? Seven seven hand? That hand, I'd have no idea what Tom and don Tom Dwan is doing. He's an alien to me. Tanking the river with a full house there, like I don't for more than five minutes. Yeah, the board was king seven deuce with two diamonds, and then it came six six and on the river, Doug bet I think it was four twenty into like three hundred. Yeah, and Dwan legit tanked for more than five minutes. Eventually he had the clock called on him, and then he called and like Doug shows five high five four suited Dwan. You know, Dwan, I think I think he said something along the lines of like I'm pretty sure I have the best hand or something like that, you know, and then turns his hand over and like the whole table looked at him like he had nine heads coming out of his neck. Yeah, like that very very very weird. He was claiming that you know he was tanking, shoving or just calling. I don't know. The hand was extremely weird. So yeah, then this monster hand comes up. So when I say there's three characters in the hand, there's two main characters and then there's a secondary character. Two main characters are Tom Dwan and Wesley. And if you watch Hustle, you know who Wesley is. I don't think he has a last name. He just goes by Wesley. But then Doug Polk is in the mix. Because so here's how the hand plays out. The dealer deals the cards. Okay, now they start folding around the table. They fold over to the guy LSG. Hank who's in the hijack. He raises to seven thousand. Okay, he has ace of hearts, eight of clubs. Now, Doug, who is in the small blind, says that he saw Wesley's cards. Wesley is sitting directly to Doug's right. Doug is directly acrossing the dealer. He's in the small blind. Wesley's on the button, he's direct to Doug's right. He says that he saw his cards. Okay, so the tables all everyone's kind of like, huh, what's happened you know, like whatever. So after Hank raised it folds to Wesley. He then three bets to thirty thousand, and Dougs like, you know, I saw your cards whatever, But like Doug still like looks at his cards and then goes, oh, I fold. And then after that happens, Wesley like throws Doug his cards to then look at him, and Dougs like, I know what you have at only need to look And Westley's like no, no, look look look dog looks. He's like, yeah, I know, you know, and then he gives them back to Wesley. So that happens in the hand gets over to Tom Duan, who was the straddle. Wesley, by the way, has Ace King. Okay, he's got the Ace of Diamonds and the King of hearts Ace King off. So now it gets over to Tom Duan and the straddle who I won't say what he have has yet because you don't know the graphics don't show it. Yeah, and you can kind of see his cards on the card box, but they're kind of like only three quarters of the way in, so maybe the graphics antenna wasn't picking him up correctly, but you don't see his cards and he four bets to one hundred thousand. Okay, it folds back over to Wesley. Hank folded with the ASA, folds to Wesley. You know, he's getting a count on Dwan's stack. He's doing this, doing that. He then five bets, makes it two hundred and seventy five K. Dwan thinks, makes the call. Now we're going to the flow, and it's kind of like funny because Doug knows what Wesley has and it's just it's weird. So there's more than five hundred k in the middle already. It comes eight eight three with two diamonds eight three of diamonds, then the eight of spades Tom Dwan's first act. He checks Wesley bets one hundred and twenty five thousand into five fifty or so. Dwan makes the call. Still you still don't know his cards. Yeah, turn is the five of hearts. Dwan's got about one point one million or so. He checks Wesley fires three hundred and fifty k. M. I can't remember exactly if this is when you found his cards or did we see him on the road. We didn't see him to the end, okay, so well that they showed him finally on the graphics like while he was in the tank, like right before, right before he called I think. So Dwan calls the turn, so it's eight eight three five. They went check one twenty five on the flop, check call one twenty five, check call three fifty on the turn. River is the six of clubs um so complete some straits, but I don't know if too many people have straights here. Tom Dwan checks again. He's got seven hundred and eighty six thousand dollars back. Wesley moves all in. Tom Dwan says did he say all in? And Wesley didn't say anything after that, but the dealer had thrown the all in chip in front of him. The dealer confirms that yes, he is all in. Dwan immediately gets up from the table and says, I'm gonna go get a water, which is very bad. So he like walks five feet away to like some side tray, gets a water, comes back and sits back down. You know, he's tanking for a bit. You know, he's going through all this stuff, and he starts saying things like he's gonna be crazy if you just flop trips, like if you just have an eight. This is a weird fucking hands. Saw his hand try to talk him out a free Bodings free bed anyway. I mean, I guess he's just flopped in eight, but SI was very hard to Floyd. It's going through all this stuff. So we don't know Dwan's cards yet, but it seems pretty apparent that he probably has like Jackson queens or yeah, Jackson queens, Yeah, probably doesn't have tens here aces. He probably has already made the call kings. I think it probably plays differently pre flop. I don't know, but queens or jack seemed the most likely. Then eventually you see the graphics and he's got queens, and then he calls Wesley, throws over the ace King, Dwan turns the pocket Queens over. He wins. The pot is three point one million, the largest pot in US poker live stream history. Happened on Hustle Ercasin Alive Tonight, Wild Stuff, Absolutely why Stuff. I think at the time they had fifty one or fifty two thousand people watching, so really good number in terms of viewers. Sing Patrick Antonius and Eric Person played the what was a two point something million pot? Yes? Was that? What it was? I can't remember exactly what it was, but Hustler Casino Live now has that trophy. Um, you know, kudos to those guys putting on absolutely banger shows. I can't help but think that Wesley getting be rated and a lot of people calling him out for being so nitty. The other night on the stream, he bought him for three million dollars. It was it was day two of this like four or five day action. He bought him for three million dollars and played extremely tight. I think it was like something I think it was. It was low and they were like making fun of him forward that the husk guy was coming after him. There was kind of like some verbal altercation. They were going back and forth, all this sort of stuff. So I can't help but think that that played into Wesley's mind here and that's why he yolo went for it with the five bet then bet bet shove like this is a good theory, and I don't think I don't think what I think. Wesley has been open that he's pretty new to poker and like the grand scheme of things. You know, he hasn't been grinding for ten fifteen years. I don't think, not not to like knock him, but just as as a how to describe this in a bit away was kind of a rookie mistake that he just wasn't experienced to drown out the noise of how people were calling him a knit and he decided to go for it. Now, listen, it still takes a lot of freaking balls to do what he did, right. I mean the other day when Rampage pulled that bluff and made hands on the the flop was queen jack ten and then the turn was what a blank in the river? Was a blank? And uh, Rampage at check check raised the flop bet the turn shoved the river um with just a seven of clubs, he turned a backdoor club job but ultimately bricked out. Just had ace high and hands had top set of queens and ultimately folded. That was a million dollar bluff on the river. So and everyone is like, oh my god, Rampage, so good, you have such balls whatever, Like, I mean, Wesley had a lot of balls too in this spot. I mean, it didn't work out for him. Tom Dwan made a good call, a tough call, but it still takes a lot of balls to put your money on the line in that regard. Um, But I still can't help, but think that maybe he let the outside noise of being called a nit get to him a little bit. Nick Airball was at the table and he said, you know, if anyone calls Wesley and knit ever again, I'm gonna fight them, you know, because I mean, he just went went nuts with just Ace High here. And I don't know how close Tom Zwan was to folding. I don't think we know. I think he made some comments like, you know, I'm just gonna fold and you're just gonna show me like you know, a seven. Maybe he was really close to folding. Maybe maybe Wesley did almost pull this off, but it was a wild wild hand. Tom's Wan wins the pot pocket queens three point one million dollars. Insane shit, man, it's funny that you know Day one of the world too his poke. We're talking about Hustle Seen Alive because this happened. I think this is the last day of the game. Yes it is. Yeah, poker world is in a frenzy, in a weird kind of selfish angle to this. I feel like this does well for like poker go streaming, because I feel like a lot of people are just wanting they want to consume poker right now. Yeah, I think you know, we're twenty four hours, thirty six hours away from the first UPSP live stream, so like it's it's go time, you know. So it's good that Hustler has us out there and they had such high viewership and they were able to set this record because you know, competition in the space is a good thing. Kudos to those guys for doing that. And you know, here we go. This pot was freaking wild, like the whole thing with like Dougsy and the cards, not knowing Tom's cards, the fact that Wesley had been getting ripped apart by everyone for being a n it, like the whole thing. How it kind of all came together was almost like too good to be true, Like you couldn't script this sort of thing, but here we are. M that was pretty incredible overall. What's that? Oh, you're waving the hat because South Point Um, Tim and I are wearing our new Poker Girl podcast hats. Okay, I love them. They're pretty good job with this. They're pretty freaking sweet. I mean, shout out Patrick Knight, our store guru. He uh, he was like, oh you know I have these what did he call him? String? Hats ropats, and I was like, yes, that's exactly what I want. They're great. We have about fifty of them. That's the first fifty people that come to the South Point takeover. Now, well yeah, whatever, but we can always get two more. I'm gonna win. You all already be out by like six forty pm. And next there's literally no way I will be out by six forty pm because I will be I will have re entered. Okay, I I think late registrations to like nine o'clock. So yeah, I'm a one bullem. I'm a won bullet man, so I'm probably gonna spend a couple of bullets. I mean, hopefully I don't, but you know, I'm usually good for two or three in this stupid thing. But you know, we'll see how it goes bullet straight to victory, calling it down bullets. All right, if you do that, I mean you're better than Jamie Becker as far as I am concerned. Um, all right, that's gonna do it for myself. Donnie Peters and him Tim Duckworth.
