We are back at the Poker Go office here in fabulous Las Vegas, where it seems like they are paving every single road in the city. I'm Henderson, Summerland. It is wild out there, so they are. They are fixing the Tropican Overpass on the fifteen, which is an absolute disaster. I mean, this is a two year fix something I don't understand why. I can see videos on social media of like towns in the Netherlands fixing bridges in forty eight hours, and these idiots out here like it looks like they haven't done anything except create more congestion. That's all they're doing. It's ridiculous. And like I saw the plan of like what they're doing with like the actual Tropicano like off ramp once you get onto trop like how it's supposed to weave and you kind of like crossover to go on the other side of traffic. It's really weird. There's no way American drivers, especially those in Las Vegas, who are a disaster to begin with, are going to be able to figure this out and navigate it correctly. They can't figure out the rain if it rains. Yea. Then we have right outside our office they're they're paving this road, which I don't really know why, but they are. And that's isn't this The Grand Prix is close to our office but not here? Okay, this is a disaster outside. Yeah, um, I feel like this complaint. It's just had like a surplus of money, and I was like, what can we do with it, Oh, let's pay I don't know. Um, And then of course you brought up the the F one. The F one has started the paving for various parts of the Las Vegas Strip and then around the Las Vegas Strip where the race is going to go. When they're doing it in these big sections. So now like when we come to work, at least when I come to work, I get off the fifteen on Flamingo, go over across the strip and then find our office up there. A little bit past the Horseshoe. But when you get to like Las Vegas and Flamingo right in front of like the Cromwell and Caesars on the left hand side, like that whole part of the strip is or that whole left hand side of the strip is closed right now because it's gone because they took it out so they could, you know, put more pavement down, make it all smooth and all that sort of stuff. So it's basically two way traffic on one side of the strip, which is just absolute disaster. The airport bypass. I'm going to start doing that. Yes I did. I did um last week, but it wasn't that much better because I think everyone's just going that way, so it's still the disaster. I mean, it's just a disaster everywhere, it really is. I mean, getting out of the High Stakes Poker Live this week was it was a mess. On what was that Friday night? Thursday night? I can't remember Thursday night. That was a mess. But anyway, that's too much on that, All right, what are we talking about on this episode? We have an addition of community cards. We are going to be talking about the High Stakes Poker Live stream, the special Edition Live streaming the first ever time that High Stakes Poker went live. That was on Thursday. It's been pretty much the talk of the poker world since then. We'll hit on a lot of the stuff that happened on that stream. I think I pretty much maxilate redged and then had pretty smooth sailing to the final I would say three tables and then head kind of a big bump in the road at the final two tables, but it was able to come back for it. I ended up rivering trips against a guy who turned a straight in a blind verse blindhand. After that we get to the final table. Fountable was hella awkward because you get some big names on that final table. Yeah, so Giseppie Pantalato won the tournament. Cole Ferrara Finnish the second. Anthony Spinnell finishes third. Anthony Spinnell was on my direct left at the final table and Cole Ferrara was on his left and they had a lot of chips to start, so it was hell. But also when we got to the final table, I can't remember if it was eight or nine handed in this tournament, but there was one player that had like two to four big blinds and he somehow made it through like three rotations. It was it was unreal. I ended up busting that player. He shoved the cut off with ACE ten. I reshoved on the button with I think he shoved three or four big blinds. I reshoved with like ten or eleven big blinds from the button with ace king suited held up against his ACE ten, and off we go. Then we get down to like six handed, and then two guys had like three to five big blinds, and it was just again, I'm just like stuck in this weird middle ground of like ten to fifteen bigs, like and it's just hell. So people are kind of waiting for them to bust. They're not busting, like it's just this whole thing. Eventually we get down to five. I've handed and Anthony Spinella is the chip leader and he has twenty two bigs and then the rest of us have between like ten and twelve. It sounds like the south Point, the south Point. I know this was just for a WSP circuit ring is what we're doing here. I end up going out in fifth place, take home a little bit over sixty three hundred dollars, so not a bad showing. It was twenty two kap top really wanted that, really wanted that ring, really wanted to get into the WSP Tournament champions all that sort of stuff. But the way that things kind of played out, Um, I feel really good about it. Overall. Thought I played well. There was one time when I my friends were sweating me um from the well they were watching online because you know, most of them live here in Nevada or in Las Vegas specifically, And there was one time when I think Anthony Spinella raised under the gun, which he had been doing like ninety percent of the time that he was under the gun. He would just min raise UM. Really felt like he was just abusing my Big Blind. I jammed on him one time with uh I think Ace Jack maybe can't remember exactly, but he had King four. I remember that he called it off. That gave me a double up. And then later on, when we were five handed, I ended up jamming heat minrays under the gun. I jammed Big Blind with King Jack off, but before I clicked like the all in button. I sent to my friends. I said, this might be a mistake, but I'm doing it anyway, Like I don't know for whatever reason, like it just felt like given the situation, like given the chips, like I could not go all in here because there was there was two people shorter than me, not so much shorter than me like before, but they were short enough. Of course, spin All snaps it off with two aces, but I flopped two pair and get there finally finally got there. Um so yeah, and then I I went out later on. I forget it how I busted exactly, but whatever it is, what it is. I think I jammed um small blind against Spinella's big blind. He snapped it off with like Ace eight or something and busted me. I think I had King I can't remember exactly what happened, but that's that, so good score for me. I'm happy. I've had like four fifth place finishes in a row now. That kicked off a nice run to fifth place finishes, So you know, here we are and uh yeah, hopefully manymore to come. I'll take fifth place in every tournament I play. That'll be greater. That's the plan. All right, We're gonna get into this High Stakes Poker live stream. So just to kind of set the table for how this played out, this capped off five previous days of filming four Season eleven. This live stream that many of you saw. I'm guessing a large portion of the audience that is listening out there has seen the High Stakes Poker livestream that took place on Thursday, April twenty seventh. It was like what six hours, seven hours something like that. So that's gonna be cut up into episodes and also featured in season eleven. But we kind of wanted to pull back the curtain give people exposure to what High Stakes Poker is like when we're filming it. When it comes out, people see, you know, a forty to fifty minute episode and it's all edited down. A lot of stuff is cut out, you know, obviously keep the big stuff in, try and tell a storyline over like those forty five minutes all that sort of stuff. This was just let turn the cameras on and let's go. And we had a cast of characters that had been like really chomping at the bit to just get after it. Burkey, Dug Pole, Nick Airball like chief among the group that was there. We added LINGI in a little bit of fuel to the fire. So yeah, so this is this is what happened. I mean it it got a lot of flak were before we talk about it. What did you expect from the stream? I expected exactly what happened, honestly, Like you get these you get these, for lack of a better term, keyboard warriors, then they get into like a live setting and not nothing really happens. So like you got a little bit of um like toughness I guess at the beginning, right at the beginning, and then it like it really dissipated. Yeah, and like then it didn't it didn't happen again till the very end when Nick Araball got hammered. Yeah. I mean that's probably what we should all expect to happen. I kind of thought maybe there was gonna be a bit more, a bit more boxing from everybody, but it didn't. Yeah, it didn't turn out the way I thought. But yeah, I mean, I yeah, I didn't. I thought that we played eight handed. Ultimately eight handed. Yeah, it started six handed, and then Rob Young showed up, and then after he showed up late, Jean Ribera Baloon showed up late as well. So we ultimately got to eight hand to play with it. And I don't know, a half hour forty five minutes of starting things. But um, it should have probably been six handed because that would have forced more action at the table. Um really would have you know, ramped things up. Um. It was. It was a lot tighter than I would have expected. Um, but that's just kind of the nature of the beast. Um. I think with all the drama involved, I think that actually hinted being, you know, a loose game that everyone probably wanted. You know, there was the bounty on Burkey's heads that would have, you know, automatically forced him to play a little tighter. If we didn't have that part of it, and maybe if it wasn't even live streamed, it could have been a more loose game. I mean, I've heard some stories about Burkey playing in some super high stakes games around Las Vegas, specifically at Aria a Lot, and how he's kind of an action player and willing to really gamble it up. But those games are different than this game, and that those games tend to have some sort of whale in them. Yeah, the whale prefers you to gamble. That's how you kind of get to play in these high stakes quote unquote private games. A lot of these games, you if you're a good player, you have to bring a whale, yeah, or like you're not going to get in if you don't show that you're going to give action as well, you know. So like, but this wasn't that game, Like, there was no like whale in the mix. This was just a bunch of people that we're having it out on the internet on social media, and then Brent Hanks wrangled them all together to put him into the setting and put them on on a livestream and on probably the biggest brand in televised cash game poker. Yeah for sure. So yeah, So we got Doug Polke, we got Eric Person, we got Lynji, we got Matt Burkey, Jennifer Till, Jean Berbalon, Nick Airball, Rob Young. They're playing two hundred four hundred. There is a five hundred dollar big blind antium. Early on. We're gonna get into some hands now, just just quickly. So if you've if you skip that first spoiler warning, I'm giving it to you again because we're gonna talk about the hands that actually happened. Um So, Doug Polk, he gets pocket threes. It's a three bet potu and it's seven four three two diamonds. Tillie abouts twelve k. She's got ace seven, so she's got top pair, top kicker. Polk MIxS the call with pocket threes. Nick Airball was also in the hand. He had ace jack, but he folds. The turn is the ten of hearts, so now it's seven four three two diamonds. Turns the ten of hearts. Tilly bets twenty k. Polk calls the river is the ace of diamonds, so it does bring those diamonds in possible straight draw was completed. Five six was completed on the flop, and then you know, if for whatever reason he's in there with the deuce five or somebody's in there with the deuce five, then that's completed as well. Tillie makes two pair aces up aces and sevens. She checks Polk bets forty six point three k. Tilly mauls it over for quite some time. You know, she's doing her whole Tillie thing. She's got the chucky doll on the table, like it's the whole Jennifer Tilly experience. It's amazing. She ultimately calls and Doug Polk shows her the set of threes, and Doug Polk is off and running and like, while this was happening, Nick Airball, who started with five hundred k like added up five hundred k more right like, because then they showed the chip counts and it's like, all of a sudden, he has a million. I'm like, but he didn't play hand. What's happened? Well, he played this one hand. I'm wondering if he's thinking. He sees the threes, he sees the the A seven, He's like, oh, these guys are fools. I'm putting it on the five hundrek on the table, even though he had everybody covered as this. Yeah, so I mean, but hey, I think it's a little flex. Of course, it's a flex. It's Nick Caraball. But I'm all for it, right, I'm all for it. Um. Then a big hand comes up where Burkey gets aces and he goes up against Nick Araball. So Burkey, it folds to Burkey in the small blind. This is like this hand starts off like how I would not expect, like folding around the table. Yeah, Like, what's what's going on? What's going on? Eric person? Yeah, so it folds around the thing. Funny thing about Eric Person is that it quickly became a parent that. For as loud and boisterous as Eric Person usually is, he was like fourth fifth wheel at this table. He mightn't even need a talk everyone else I know here and he barely did talk. Yeah, um okay, So this one folds around to Matt Burkey in the small blind. He limps in with pocket ace. He's got acespays ace of diamonds. Nick Araball checks the eight four of diamonds. The flop is Jack Sevan deuce with two diamonds. Jack and deuce were the diamonds on the board. Burkey check raises uh Airball's one thousand dollars bet to thirty five hundred. Airball makes the call with his flush Straw turned as the King of Clubs. Burkey leads for ten k, which was an overbet. Airball makes the call River is the five of diamonds. Burke bets fifteen thousand. He's got eighty five eighty six thousand behind. I think he started with a hundred, right yeah. Um, So Airball shoves Burke, goes into the tank for a while, ultimately calls and he and he, you know, Airball shows his flush and bust Burkey. So then there's like this situation where Burke's Burke. I think he threw in one chip to call, like yeah, he's bet out there, and he threw in he threw in like an extra one kit to make the call. But then like he so he's gonna reload, so he starts like reaching into his backpack. But like he was basically going to take chips out of his backpack and give them to to Airball because he wanted like the denominations, the smaller denominations in his stack. And then he was gonna take like all cranberries and be like and he because he asked how much is it like, and they were like it's eighty you know, you have eighty six, So He's like okay, and he was gonna pay it that way. But Airball like starts yelling about like getting the chips, and he's just like those are my mother f and chips, and just like reaches over and just grabs Burkey stack and throws like throws him into his own stack. Yeah, and that's when I was like, here we go, Yes, this this was we were ready for this. Yeah, he was. He had pulled out one hundred K and he was obviously just gonna make some change and uh Abe was like, not these in mine, you can get changed somewhere else. Let's play. Yeah. So that's when I thought, you know, things were gonna just go crazy. Um there. But there was a fun hand nonetheless, I mean, you know there there was definitely. I think that was the first time I didn't know what to expect from the audience, okay in terms of like who they were rooting for, and I think there was I think there was people coming into this on in both camps. There was the Burkey camp and there was the Airball camp. I think once you saw this hand and saw how Airball acted towards Burkey, like in the flesh, a lot more people became Burkey fans and we're like, I want Burke to win a crap ton of money off these idiots out there. Like I think that's what the thinking was. And like reading the YouTube chat like that was like people were like, I'm rooting for Burkey. I'm rooting for Burkey. I want him to crush these people, Like that's what he was saying. When I think some people it was it was Airball, it was Doug Polk and it was Lynji that was like the group that was like against Burkey even like a little bit of person online but not so much as the other ones. Um so yeah, so that's what happened there, and we thought we were like off and running. We're like here we go, you know. But yeah, um, then we get a Burkey's got a top two pair against Jennifer Tilly's top pair also with a flush draw. This is a single race pot. Burkey's got the ace nine on the ace deuce nine flop. There was two diamonds on the board. Um it was it was Aca clubs nine of diamonds, deuce of diamonds. Tilly has ace seven of Simon's Tillie bets one k. Burkey makes it four K Tillie makes it fifteen, Burkey calls turn is the four of heart, so a blank. Burkie checks till he bets fifteen K. Burkey shoves for eighty three K till he calls. But she thought for a little while. For a while, she thought, for a while. She put she put her hand up like in front of her face, was holding it up in her person is sitting right next to her, and person sees her hand and like immediately slams his hands on his head and is like, oh my god, what is she doing, like because he obviously sees top pair in the nut flush draw and he's like, is she really gonna fold? What the hell's going on? I mean, her instincts were right here because she was beat you know, and she ultimately calls it off. They run it twice, Burkey scoops and often running we go Burkey's I mean, he's about even now on the match after he lost that hand earlier. This is when Jean Arbert Balonde arrives. He's in seat one then. And it was also funny. I know I skipped this at the beginning, but the seat drop they drew. Listen if people were thinking this is fake I watched the draw happen. Yeah. Paul Campbell puts all the seats down in the middle of the table. The players walk up one by one, they pull the seats and John Robert Blonde he ended up in seat one because that's what was drawn for him, but he wasn't there at the start, so it started with Doug polking seat two, then Matt Burkey in seat three, then Nick Airball and seat four. So Burkey sam it felt. It was like yeah, and everyone was like, this is rig this is Rag. People are seeing the photos they're seeing obviously watching the live steam like this is Rag. Nice and then and then right next to Airballs Lynch and it's like this is Ray. And it's like no, like I watched it happen, Like this is not rigged, you know. So so yeah, then another hand comes up where Doug Polk flops another set. He flopped like six or seven sets, like it was on and later, much later on, he was bemoaning the fact that he was losing in the game despite the fact that he flops so many sets. He's like, how am I losing when I'm flopping all these sets? Because if you're flopping sets, it's a really really good good day for you at poker, and you should be winning a lot um. He ends up this one, though, He ends up folding the river to who made the nut flush, so he defended the strata with pocket fives. Linji had opened it up with ace. Nine of diamonds becomes jack five deuce, two diamonds, Polke checks, Linn bets three. K Polk raises to eleven. Lynn calls the turn is the king of diamonds. Polke bets nineteen. K Lynn makes the call, rivers the seven of spades, Polk check. Lynn shoves for double the pot. Polk ends up folding Lyndji. It sounds like the players viewed her as playing pretty tight overall. You know, if you listen to the software Y podcast or the Only Friends podcast Sorry with Matt Burkey Um, and you know, just hearing some of the other chatter going around the industry, it seems like a lot of the players felt like Lyndji played pretty tight. So maybe that was, you know, going into two Ducks thinking, but good on Doug here for for being able to get away from a set that's not easy. Then you have JRB and Airball. They get into a big hand. JRB ended up five bet shoving with pocket queens. Seat him, get it all with the queens. That's what you do with him? Yeah, did you win any money? No airball calls with Ace King, they say once, but I also said we were watching this live, and I also thought they said once. I was really confused, but they might have said twice, and we just all misunderstood that. They definitely as once. And then the next time we watched, they ran out of a flop and then they're running out the second boarders, so they end up running it twice. JRB wins the first nick Airball wins the second quick sidebar. Here, I think running it twice should not be allowed, Okay. I think it should be only odd number times and it's one, three or five. That's the options, because there needs to be a winner, okay, And if you want to reduce variants, then go three times. But somebody's still gonna come out ahead. Likely it's gonna be two to one in a lot of spots, right, I mean sometimes it'll be three to zero, you know that sort of thing. But I want like some blood the chop pot thing like this is like, yeah, it's a great hand. They put a lot of money in, but ultimately it just goes back to the same people. So like, what's the point, you know, I want blood. I think we should make a rule in Pokego it's one, three or five. That's the rule. Okay, that's the rule. You could come play on. No Gamblino Future, no gaminow future. For sure, there should be blood. I mean that's the nature of the show. Should we just no gamble, no future? Okay, yes, I agree, Like that's what has to happen. I know they instituted the Wheel of Painting and all that sort of stuff, where like if you run it twice and you're ahead technically by the odds, then you have to go spend the wheel whatever. But no one, three or five that's my choice. So yeah, then you have Jennifer Tilly doubling up with run or Runner full house versus Matt Burkey. It was a single race pot on five four deuce rainbow till he bets two thousand with pocket kings. Burkey check raises to six thousand. Burkee was in the small blind or sorry in the big blind. On this hand, he checked race to six thousands, so three x her bet with jack three so he's got a gutter Linji folded ace Queen till he makes it seventeen K. Burkey calls turn is the King of Clubs, putting two clubs on board. It goes check check rivers the four of clubs so that pairs the board also gives Matt Burkey with the jack three clubs a backdoor flush. Burkey bets thirty k Linn Sorry, Tilly shoves for eighty five. Burkey makes the call, sees the bad news full house for Gentilly ship the pot to her. Chucky is happy. Gentilly was great this whole episode. Yeah, I like, she's just she's amazing. In every episode I see her on. It's super fun. This one she brings out the chucky down she's got, She's got a flag, a five hit chip in the chucky. It was a lot of fun having her there. Then you have Doug Polk flopping a flush against Nick Airball's aces. It's twenty seven K in the middle on a four way flop of King six five all clubs. Airball's got the Ace of Hearts, Ace of Clubs, and Polk's there with the Queen ten of Clubs. As we said, flopping a flush airball bet thirteen K. Polk made the call. JRB and Jennifer Tilly both got out of the way. Turn is the four of diamonds. Polk check calls fifty thousand dollars, which was about a pot size bet. River is the seven of spades. It goes check check Polk obviously looking to pick off airball. Um some sort of bet there on the River, maybe a check shove. Polk ends up winning the pot, takes that one down. Polks had a good day so far. I think he was up like two. I mean, he lost the one earlier against Lynn when she she had a flush and he ended up folding. But you know he saved some money on there, though, no for sure. And then here Doug Polk turns a set against Burkey's aces and all the set yeah, and ace is just not working out for Matt Burkey. Um, Burkey's got to acea spades, asa hearts. He raises on top of Doug Polk's straddle. Polks got four four. Jrb's in there with the nine five of spades. I don't know why because it's JRB, and you know he's just having fun. Um. The flop comes six six three. There's one spade on there. It checks around the turn is the four of hearts, so that gives Doug Pole a full house fours over sixes or he bets a four point two k. Burkey calls Jervy obviously gets out of the way. River is the nine of clubs. Polk comes out with twenty two thousand. Burkey makes the call, loses with pocket ass once again, just not his day with the pocket ass. Then the this is the biggest pot of the stream that comes up. It involves Rob Young and Doug Polk. But first Rob Young he sat down and he was kind of like, so Gentilly is wearing this tierra that says the instigator of chaos. But it was really like Rob Young was the instigator of chaos because he starts like he starts kind of asking questions about like the feud and stuff like that, but then he just like goes in on Doug Polk, Like he goes in on him for the coin flex thing, he goes in on him for the wearing the patches and all this sort of stubb. He's just going in on him, And then it was it was hilarious. Rob is hilarious, right, And I thought that m I thought that Matt Burkey put it pretty well on the Only Friends podcast that just happened, the post live stream Only Friends podcast, where he was saying that, you know, Doug Polk like kind of clowns on this world of high stakes poker, live high stakes poker, and he's not really in those streets like a Matt Burkey or Rob Young, a JRB is like those guys are playing these super high stakes games a lot of times off streams, like we don't see him. We obviously see these guys on a lot of streams, yes, but they're also like they're in Ivy's room, they're in Bobby's room, etc. Like you know, Doug isn't really in that these days. I mean, he was obviously a very big fixture in the high stakes poker world, don't get me wrong. But so I think that's like Rob Young was like in a way trying to like get back at Doug, like, yeah, I'm gonna come at this guy like see what he's really made of. And you know, Doug can obviously hold his ground, he's not scared to back down, and he's got a lot of thick skin that goes on. But but Robin Robkin, you know, throw him with the best of him, and he was so he was given it to to Doug Well in like a you know, a friendly way, but it was it was a lot of fun. So then this hand comes up between the two of them and Rob Young's got King Queen of Hearts and Doug Polk ends up having two pair with the jack ten of hearts. Polk four bet the jack ten of hearts the thirteen k. Rob Young was in the straddle with the King Queen of Hearts. He ends up making the call airballs in there with pocket nines. Jrb's got seven six of hearts, so just hearts everywhere. The pot's fifty three thousand go into the flop. It's ace ten seven with one heart the ace of hearts on the board. Polk bets seventeen thousand. Rob Young makes the call, the other two players get out of the way. Jack is spades on the turn that nails two pair for Doug Polk, but gives broadway to Rob Young. Um, it goes check check, and then the rivers the three of diamonds or the river just blanks off. Rob Young checks, getting a little sneaky sneaky there. Polk bets fifty thousand, five hundred. Young comes in with a race to two hundred thousand hulk, molds it over for quite some time, ultimately makes the call, sees the bad news, and that's like this is the big pot that changed the entire night for Doug Polk because he had been winning up until this point. Then he loses this pot. I mean he lost what two hundred and fifteen to twenty on this hand alone. Yeah, so that really set Doug Polk back. I mean, listen watching when Rob Young played the no gamble in the Future million Dollar Cash Game. I think you got to fold the river here, like, I mean, it's he plays pretty close to the vest overall. Yeah. So I mean there's there's a lot of two pairs that beat you. Obviously set some sets, and then the straits it was like a snapcheck, like instant. Yeah. I mean, I but this this also probably goes back to, you know, maybe Doug thought that there was some kind of additional dynamic because Rob had been coming at him, So maybe he's gonna try and bluff him and then you show him the bluff and it's this whole thing, or who knows. I think Rob hadn't really wanted anything any major pots up to that point. No, he'd done more talking than point and chips for sure. But this was the biggest part of the night four hundred and eighty seven thousand, and it went Rob Young's a way. Um. Then there's a hand where Doug Polk again with pocket threes again makes a set. He forces a fold from Jennifer Tilly who had top parrot. Was a good fold by her? Um you had Lynji was going with Ace King up against Rob Young's pocket jacks forever on that twice and was chop I believe, yes, sleeve that was a chop. Yeah, they see one three or five, and then we get some blood and now this like weird thing shows up where Andrew Robol arrives like so he walks into the set and he says like, I have sorry, I have to take him away talking about Rob Young to go play another game. Yeah bring the yeah, but and he says like I can't play in that game unless I bring rob So Rob has to come with me. So but then Rob like gets up from the table and robos like, I'm gonna play your stack for like two hands or something. So he sits down immediately starts getting in hand. But I think they immediately negotiate like am I playing your stack? Well no, They're like he's playing the hand. And then they're like they're like talking to like so is this my money or your money? Like whose money is it? Like can I just take over? You know, Everyone's like they're like is this okay? And they're like, yeah, it's okay. And then immediately like robols like raised like I think he had jacked. I think he adjacked into it on both hands he played. I think he you know, I think he's squeezed. He's like squeezed from like the small blind or something. Yeah, So that was just like a little funny thing that happened. Um, I think he won the first one that he played, and then the second one he like checked the river and ultimately lost it or whatever. But it was still like the King High. It was just a funny dynamic of how how that happened. You guys can obviously watch it on the stream. Um, you had person with pocket Jack's getting involved against Doug Polk who had King ten on the Queen nine eight Jack nine board. That was a good one to Jereby. Pocket six is doubles versus Airballs a bass. Let's just run a wine. Okay, So this hand this is like what the they so something we do when we take high stakes pokers We draw for hands. Okay. So at this point in the night, it's like, I don't know what time it wasn't it was pretty nine forty five or so. Nick Airball is hammering wine absolutely. I mean he's like three bottles of wine deep chugging wine. Not only is he chugging his wine, he's chugging Lyn's wine like he he would just chug. He would literally chug his glass of wine, put it down on the table and then pick hers up and chug that like it was. It was unreal. And now you start to see like you're like the wheels are about to fall off, like here we go ready. You know this is like he's talking, he's going at Burkey. Then there's this fucking blow up where like he just starts yelling and screaming at Burkey about like he wants to play bigger, but Burkey's like, we can play it bigger, like well, you know all this sort of stuff, and you know, Burkey's like he's being great, he's being very professional, very like sober, not only because he is sober, but like sober in his attitude, you know, and like and then Doug Polks like listen Matt objectively, like you have the best of it, and Matt's like, I know, okay, Like I know. So this is also let's remind people that this is fresh off Matt winning three hundred k off off air Ball a few days earlier. Results world. Yeah, so so now air Ball is saying he wants to play like five K, ten K and all this sort of stuff, and you know, then there's this whole thing about like Matt's like, I'll play you, like we don't have to play this hour thing, like we can just play, like you know, when you come into town, you can just call me whatever. It's this whole thing, and air Ball just like loses his mind, like absolutely loses his mind. Starts he's standing up, He's screaming at Burkey, he yells at him. He like storms off the set. He's like, I'm going to get more f and wine. Like what, it's this whole thing. So he comes back to the table. They draw off her hands. I think they drew five hands at the end of the night. Um the first two or whatever. But then this big hand comes up where I believe they were also doing a round of straddles, and I want to say it was it was two four eight sixteen was on, That's what I want to say. And I was. I was actually on the floor. I walked out to like see the final hands and not wasn't watching the stream at the end. So if I'm wrong there, forgive me. So anyway, Airball like he's got like all his chips are kind of like starting to go everywhere. Like he's got a lot of chips. He's got over a million dollars on the table, and like now that he like he's drunk, there's a wine glass on the table like or on the rail and like he's just chugging wine. He's got like the chips are kind of falling all over the place. So there's like this conversation that happens where it involves twenty five K, and I think that there was like trying to be like some sort of side bet happening or something. But then Airball like has a twenty five K chip like in front of him, and so then they're like, so like are you are you raising a twenty five He's like, yeah, twenty five k whatever, but like he wasn't like originally on a race to twenty five K, but then it changed and he did. It was like a weird conversation. If you listen to it on the stream, you can pick up on it. And he's obviously got aces, so it's like one of those things where like I'm just gonna act like a drunk idiot. Yeah, twenty five K whatever, like not a big deal. Folds to Jrby, who's got one hundred and forty one hundred and fifty K. Yeah, Jeremy's got pocket sixes, and Jeremy's like I'm all in, gets back to Airball, snaps him off like you know, beats him in the pot there. Nick's like whatever he wants, and then Airballs are sorry. Jereby is like disgusted that this just happened, like like he got got in a way, and so he's like just just once, just once, yea, And of course drills a six on the flop, so then it's like here we go. So three hundred K goes Jereby's way and air Balls like annoyed. You can tell he's like extra annoyed, like, you know, I'm drunk, like this happened, like I can't believe that that I got him where I wanted him too. And then he just reels of six and of course he wanted to runner once, so it was even worse. So now I mean, he still got like a million dollars, right, I think. Then there's one hand. There's one hand that happens. And then the last hand comes up and involves Jennifer Tilly and Nick Airball. So Jennifer Tilly's got pogget jacks. Nick Airball has ace deuce, He's got the Ace of hearts and the deuces spades duces spades is going to matter, so they get involved in this hand. The flop is jack nine five, and the turn jack nine five is spades okay, and the turn is the Queen of Hearts till he obviously flops top set and doesn't have a spade, and then Airball has just the deuces spades and then the aces an overcard. On the turn jack nine five all spades turns the Queen of Hearts, Airball checks Tillie bets fifteen k. Airball bets fifty k. Then he says something like can I take it back or something like something like that, and they're like, no, you can't take it back, like and then but then he like takes back like the bricks and like puts. He puts chips, so like one of the other is what he does until he's like in the tank. She's she's like thinking about what she's gonna do, and then she shoves for one hundred and fifty seven thousand. So now Airball is like full till drunk air Ball, Like chips are all over the table, like the chips are on top of his cards, like you can't see his cards. He turns over the deuce of spades at one point, I have a flush, yeah, he kept saying, I have a flush. Yeah, I have a flush. I have a flush, like over and over and like she's wrong, he didn't. She's like just sitting there and then and then he says to her, if you can show me like one card that isn't a spade, I'll call or something like that. And then she's like, oh, I don't know what to do, like you know, gen Tilly, you know, she's just sitting there like, oh, that's kind of weird. And then she's like no, She's like no, and mind you, Jen Tilly has to go. She has dinner reservations at Aria, and I guess the reservation is hard to get and they keep it and you can't be late and all this sort of stuff. So she's she like wants to be on time. Nick's in the tank for like multiple minutes, and everyone's like, what is happening. This is the absolute last hand. So the other players at the table are like they're standing up. Jereby's like, Jarby walks over like he's got his mic off. He gives me a fift pound. He's out the door like he's gone, like his chips are racked up, like you know. Doug Polk's like walking around. Joey Ingram had shown up and is there and like you know, Lyndji's coming over, giving Joey a hug, like it's this whole thing. Mind you. Airball's got one. He got the Dudze of Spades, Like first he turns it over then like he's he like keeps like fumbling with his chips and like the Duce of Spades kind of gets covered. His other card is like buried under his chips somewhere. Then Doug is like kind of walks off the camera view, but he talks to Paul Campbell and Paul's like telling him about the Jennifer Tilly dinner thing. And then more he comes like out this is like behind the scenes, behind the scenes. More he comes like running out to me. He's like, he's like this is absurd, like he's been tanging forever, like this is like what's going on like and I'm like, dude, I don't know what's happening like whatever. So, now like everyone's standing there, like is an Airball gonna make a decision? Air Ball says something like she can leave, everyone can leave, and I think Paul said no, like she can't leave. She has to play her hand like whatever. So then Doug walks back onto the set and calls the clock on Airball and he's like, listen, she has a dinner to go to. Out of respect for her, I'm calling the clock. It's been way too long, like you know, So this whole thing happens. He ends up folding. Gent's non flush. Yeah, his non flush. He's only got the duce of spades. Um. He ends up folding. I thought he was gonna call Honestly, I really did think he was just and like if you're if you're gentilly, like, don't you show like one of the jackson. But I think she might. I think she might have believed that he did have a flush, like you know, say the four Duce of Spades or something, and she actually just wants him to fold. So I don't. I guess, Yeah, it comes down to your read on if you think he had a flush. I feel like he's a pretty way. He was playing pretty honest. He's snapping you with a flush, snapping yeah, yeah, come on, yeah, you have to factory And how many wines deep busy? A lot? So a lot? Okay, so she wins that hand. The result is um Eric person somehow wins one hundred and ninety K despite like not really being involved that much at all. Lenji one hundred sixty K. Burkey was down twenty two thousand, poked down thirty four thousand jib he was down one hundred thousand and an airball ended up down one hundred and twelve thousand, So overall, like, I guess, what did you think of the game everything that played out? Like obviously the social media chatter like what are your big takeaways from everything a little underwhelmed because, like we touched on at the start, I thought there was gonna be a bit more. You got blood, You're like high Stakes Poker Blood Edition. Whether it's like actually in the streets with the cords or if it was just them boxing in each other. Thought there's gonna be something. We didn't really get that, but we have to remember that, you know there it was high stakes. You know, people don't want to just stack off. I thought the game was There was obviously a lot of highlights, some low lights. We had some big Handsum. Also the first time we ever did something like this when it comes to the High Stakes Poker brand, so we weren't really sure what we're going to expect, especially with these players. Um, if we could run it back again, I'd probably get rid of JRB felt he felt like the odd man out. I don't know, man, I think JRP is like a mainstay. No, but we had JRB, Tilly and Young and they were kind of I think you probably arrit a LINGI no, but she was part of that whole. She felt like she came in later. That's fine, but yeah, eight handed made a little bit tougher. I think I think you mentioned Burkey mentioned on the podcast that six or seven hand would have been more ideal. I would have forced him to play more hands. Yeah, you can't just sit there and fall. But hey, like I think we're going to touch on something else coming up, but like, this is kind of what the people wanted. I mean, yeah, this is what the people want. Um. I mean, listen, there's been a lot of love out there, deservedly so for Hustler Casino Live. I mean this was kind of our in a way, Hustler Casino Live version of High Stakes Poker. Now you can try and make the argument that we tainted the High Stakes Poker brand. I don't think we did, because one, we don't have to do this again, okay, Two we're just trying something. I mean again, high Stakes Poker has always been seen in edited episodes. Yeah, we could have filmed this edited it, and like you would have never known that it was like what it was exactly, you know, like we allowed people to go behind the curtain and see exactly what happens when we film these games. Sometimes they're incredibly boring and we struggle to make episodes. Yeah, sometimes they're absolutely out of control and we struggled to make sense of what just happened, like you know, and sometimes they're just absolutely amazing. Like so, I don't think that we did wrong there. I think that you know, a lot of people out there, like the very deadicated poker Go audience, has an idea of what high stakes poker is, and to them, this wasn't that. I mean, myself included, like I will say objectively, like this didn't look like high stakes poker. But we did it and it happened, and I think, you know, going forward would be changed some things, probably, you know, I mean, but I think it's worth doing because it's what the people wanted. And you know, going to what you were saying, how we're going to touch on that, Brad Willis for poker dot Org wrote what I thought was an absolutely great article. I mean, listen, the headline is like did poker Go just saved Poker TV or something like that, which I think you can ignore and like actually read the cunts. Yeah you have to read it. Yeah, you have to read it. I Mean the headline seems like a little bit of propaganda, but the content within is very true and like Brad gave a very honest opinion that like it was at times very cringe, but he also couldn't look away. But at the end of the day, this is what the market wanted. Yeah, Like people are constantly saying, like, we want more live stuff from you guys. We want more live streams, more cash games, more freestuff, blah blah blah. And we gave all of that, and on top of it, we put the players in the game that we are at the topic of conversation across every outlet, every social media thing like all that, Like, okay, and did it work out? Maybe maybe not. I don't know. That's for you know, different viewers to decide. I mean, three hundred thousand people have watched this, I would say, yeah, it kind of has. I think I think the numbers, you know, kind of stand for themselves. We had great viewership. You know, people certainly tuned in. You know. That said, we also kind of understand, like we understand who we are and we can adjust going forward. But I think it was something that like I'm happy that we took the risk. I'm happy that we tried it, you know, tried something a little bit different, tried it with the High Stakes Poker brand. Like my initial suggestion is like, if we do something like this, maybe we do it under the no gam in the Future brand next time, Like maybe, but I would, you know, but still it's it's still going to be the same bananas shit on TV. I mean, so I don't know. I mean, I thought it was good, I thought it was fun, I thought it was entertaining overall, and and like you know, like Brad wrote in his article, it ultimately comes down to the market. So while you can have an opinion whether or not this was a successful live stream that we did, okay, you know, independent of the views whatever. Like if if you think, like the feedback is too negative that we failed, okay, fine, that's your own opinion. I get it. But also understand that, like last week, there was a massive conversation across all of poker social media, you know, specifically on poker Twitter, about how like games aren't entertaining enough. We need to be you know, needs to be more entertaining, you need less justin Bontamo's and Chris Brewers of the world. And then it was this whole thing, well you need to pay the players and this whole like it was a whole thing. So then we give you pretty much nothing but entertainment. It was like ninety percent entertainment and ten percent actual poker. And then it's like, no, this is not what we want either, So like, hey, market, decide what you want. Like you know, you guys can dictate what you want. So I think it's also the case that like, and I think if I think if we talked to Hustler Casino Live about this sort of thing, there is certainly very different audiences between like Poker Go and YouTube, yes, which we understand, okay, and I bet you that Hustler Casino Live would understand it, etc. Like I know, social media was rabbit as all heck, you know, ripping this game and saying that it was unwatchable on whatever they want to say. The people on YouTube seem to love it. Yeah, absolutely well, I mean it was you know, it was madness. So I thought ultimately we kind of needed to give the people what they want shout out Jalen Rose and then you know, let the let things fall as they may. I think we did that. So I thought it was good. And if you haven't read Brad Willis's article over on poker dot Org, I would highly encourage you to do so and I know it sounds like that's only coming from me and coming from Tim because we work for Poker Goro and the title is you know, poker go could have just saved poker television. I'm telling you skip the headline and read the content. They also read another one from Lee Jones today, from Chaos to Redemption. He was in the YouTube street, so he's in eleven premier. Yes, I haven't read that yet, but I haven't loaded out ready to read. Yeah. So there's a lot of good stuff out there, um, a lot of good content that you guys can check out, a lot of good people that are able to put ideas, thoughts into words. Um Brad Wills's piece is certainly that. So you know again, I would check check it out over on poker dot org if you haven't all ready. So these players have actually agreed to play round one and round two like you know, not normally where it's like round one the loser has you know, first right to rematch all that sort of stuff. These guys just said, no, we'll do both the first two rounds. The second one is going to be one hundred k a person two hundred k match, and then depending on how it shakes out, we'll see where we go from there. We have new rules for high stakes duel where if you win two consecutive matches at any point during the duel, you are crowned the champion. So let's say Daniel nagran You wins round one and round two, he's high Stakes Tool four champion. Done, see you later. He's got the belt. He can take it home, put it in his trophy case. If Eric person wins both round one and round two, same thing, he can take that belt, you know, rocket wherever he goes. If nigran You wins round one and then person comes back and wins round two, that means nigran You can rematch four round three. If nigran You does rematch, we'll get person versus Nagran You again. If nigron You doesn't rematch, then we'll get person versus somebody else for round three. Okay, so that's how that's gonna work out. Is he just gonna come out as the as the High Stakes Steel heal, So it's gonna be interesting. All these guys are gonna play nice. We'll see what, uh see what kind of happens with there, and the fact that we're going to double down straight away and play around to the next night. He's actually good, I think, yeah, I mean at a lot of content, um you know, on Poker Go. So I'm excited to see where this uh where this High Stake Steel foregoes overall. Like I said, I think I'm weirdly more looking forward to d verse mats up, but I think is gonna GRANDI Verse person is going to be interesting in his own right, as you mentioned, like they don't really have any kind of backstory, so you know, I don't I don't think person's going to go into this like he went into that first time he played Phil hellmouth and being like throwing up the double birds, calling this guy a bitch, like all that sort of stuff. Like, I don't think that's gonna happen here. You know, it's probably not gonna work on the Granow of course, definitely. They do have a little bit of experience playing on Season ten of High Stakes Poker, but they never really got into it or anything. So we'll just see how this plays out overall that maybe this is the start of kind of Nagran news, like big turnaround momentum shift going into the summer. We'll see. Yeah, you know, I've been on record saying I think he's gonna have a huge summer. I guess if I just say that every summer until it finally happens, like I'm gonna eventually win, you know, just double down. But but yeah, all right, so a little bit of a special announcement here, Tim and I are going to try something. We have no idea what this is gonna work, but we're gonna try it. We're gonna do a takeover of a nightly poker tournament in town. School's here in Las Vegas they do this APEX fundraiser. So mey used to be, you know, you have to run like thirty six laps and you sponsor your kids per lap. Now it's changed a little bit. It's it's obstacles, I guess. So my son had his APEX fund run last week, and you know, I got a lot of people to donate to him e race, you know, somewhere near like four hundred dollars. So you know, I sponsored him two dollars an obstacle. Most I could lose or not lose. Most I could donate was, you know, seventy two dollars. Anyway, Thursday comes and I go to his school. I'm going to watch him partake. He was pumped. He had a headband on. He was practicing the night before, jumping from the couches, like doing obstacles because he didn't really know, you know, what was going on. So he's there. Basically, you do a lap and on the lap there are four obstacles, and once you do one lap, all the like the volunteer parents mark off on their t shirt four ticks, So four ticks, four laps, we'll call it four obstacles. Sorry, And then you know he raised his money. He starts off, he's leading his class or all the first grades. Actually he does three laps, so he's earned twelve obstacles. And he comes over to me to get a little little drink. He hasn't got anything marked off because he gets to the line where the volunteers are ticking the checkboxes and he can't wait. He just wants to keep running, so he just runs through them. And I'm like, buddy, you have to go get the lines crossed up. He say, okay, okay, okay. Anyway, he ends up running like twenty laps, but he maxes out of thirty thirty six obstacles. But on one of these obstacles, there's two racetracks on this On one of these obstacles, it's a little like climb up the top of a like bouncy castle, then you slide down. And all the warnings from the host were just like, hey, when you get to this obstacle, you have to be careful climb up and then he has to slide down on your butt because you don't want to hurt people. And I saw some chaos. I saw some heads get sat on everything. So when Caleb's coming to this first upbstacle, he climbs up, and you know, he's a good boy, I expect him to slide down on his butt. No, right, Summers sold down, does this flip, rolls over, lands on his feet, starts running and I have photos of this. I posted them on my Instagram. He gets up, he starts running and he looks at me with a smile, just like, yeah, I'm not listening to you guys. Anyway, he did his He probably did twenty laps. He raised, you know, three four hundred dollars one of these prizes. He absolutely had a ball, loved it, and yeah he's he's absolutely chaotic six year old. So you've got four years and you're gonna have the same thing. I mean, I already have a chaotic two year olds. So I mean, I don't know what do you want me to tell you? She's out of control, absolutely out of control. But it's great, it's awesome. Um, So yeah, that's I think that's all we got. I don't have a family pot um, So yeah, let's get excited next time.
