We're trying to, you know, basically raise some funds rescuing the Kangaroo's illegally imported into the USA. If you go to the tweet. Hucks who used to work for us, wrote like three verses probably probably we can use those verses, but they're excellent. They're excellent versus we need to actually put it in. You know how they have like the fake Drake songs that are coming out like stuff like yeah, like let's go like I'm fine, Like I'll push it, I'll promote it. I'll be a spot if I am artists, I'll be all in on the cowboy look. Texas was great for people that don't realize. I shaved my patchi patchy beard off and left the handlebar mustache that I had last year, and then I bought a cowboy hat and I was rocking the cowboy hat. For a long time, wasn't quite dressed appropriately. I only took like my short not shorts and oversized T shirts, so it didn't really make any sense. But what you no, no, no, no, hold were for sure an urban cowboy. Like That's how the is an urbanoy, modern the modern cowboy, the modern like person who liked country music. Like I'm assuming people that all want to stagecoach recently, they were all kind of dressed like that. They just wear their kind of normal stuff, you know, baggy tea, you know, some short short whatever, and then they throw on a cowboy hat and they're they're ready to go. Look. I was very skeptical of the cowboy hat, and then I put it on. I really liked it. The girls selling it to me obviously said no, it looks actually pretty good. I don't believe her. Guy I was with he liked it, So I was like, whatever, we're in Texas, I'm gonna buy this. Everyone everyone was like, oh my god, that it suits you perfectly. Honestly, I think it's only because of the handlebib masks slash I have, so whenever I shave that during the World series, the cowboy hat's going to have to, you know, be put in the closet for a while. You need to keep this up because it's hard. Man. I hate it for the same reason, for the same reason, and I'm gonna I'm gonna bring this up again. I'm gonna bring it up every single time until it happens, so I might be bringing up for the rest of my life. When they bring out the money at the World Series of Poker main event, they need to bring it out via horseback. Okay, they have that ramp that goes up the side of the main horseshoe room. They have the big doors that horses can easily come walking on. In a couple of horses, they like move on from the guys with the shotguns carrying, you know, like that that is that. I mean, you can still have guys with shotguns. They can just be on horseback, you know. But like let's go full on, like you know, Benny Binyon era, like guys on horses, cash, hanging on bags on the sides of the horses. Let's walk it up to the stage, let's drop it off. That's what we need to happen. I do have a plan for the twenty five K Fantasy Drift that involves the cowboy hat and some other items of clothing. I think it'd be a bit of fun. So I'm gonna do a little bit of shopping over the next couple of weeks. Is that put together an outfit? Is the money presentation? Is that an US thing? Or does that's that's that's ws. Actually last year we helped because we got the brief question team, right, I mean, so don't we like kind of do the do something? Sure? If horses are in the budget, Oh, come on, it's a Nevada. How how much can it cost to rent a horse for a couple hours? I mean, let's be probably it's probably not cheap. You probably like, what are you talking about? Like one thousand dollars? That's cheap? No, I want to say more. You have to get a couple of horses, a couple of people. Then you have to explain how to it could be like a ten thousand dollars spend worth it one hundred percent? I think it is. Do you think they get the stuff that they have now? Stock guns? They got people? The real shotguns? Those are okay, I don't think those are real. Those are definitely real shotguns. There is some security to the money regardless of what you think, Like those are actually, you know, fairly real security gods, like nothing's gonna happen, and like there's like that, like just like we'd have a horse, we have a real cowboy. I mean, yeah, I'm the cowboy cowboy Tim. I'm just saying I think we need to. We need to if you if we can get promise here's the thing, Okay, listen, if we can get promised horses, I will keep the cowboy look through the whole world series. I'll wear a cowboy hat every day and I'll get my cowboy boots. I thought it looked good on you. You. Okay, we need to actually talk about some poker and some stuff that's happened. We are going to talk about Texas stuff. Texas poker ope, and of course that is where Tim is returning from. Was down there for what a week, week and a half, I don't even know, Yeah, long time, it seems like forever. The other big thing we're gonna talk about is ept money Carlo that wrapped up yesterday. This is Tim talking to Renlin after RIN one the Texas Poker Open Main Event. I'm here with renlinn, the inaugural Texas Poker Open Main Event champion. You flew in light directly from China, directly from Vegas, and you've come here and you've won the main event. How do you feel right now after winning this seven hundred and thirty five entrant tournament. I feel great. I just just so lucky today end I got a lot of good hands, So yeah, I feel great. Last time we saw you it was the PGT Championship Million dollar free Role, and we haven't seen you for a couple of months. Tell us where have you been? Uh? I take a break and I travel a lot, and they of China like over thirty five day and take a break. So this is your first time to Champions Club for T here. How have you felt to enjoyed the venue so far? It's great here. I have come Vegas soon, I have a conveg again is great. Everything is good and everybody is nice. Hellove here. This was our first time on the PGT doing a low buying three thousand dollars. You know, you earn four hundred PGT points, So after a hot start, what do you think of the PGT having these lower buyings for players? I think it's a pg school for the low buying because it'd be more player like if over a tank is you know, I think it's a lot of player level pray the PGD tournament. But I just if if it like an over tank is a little too much for the most prayer. So if a low buying is good, he's like a more player coming like this one three three three k It was perfect all right. That was Renland with Tim down at Champions Club in Texas. In Houston, Texas. Renland topped the the seven hundred and thirty five entry field in this event. Who win four hundred thousand dollars? You heard Ren and Tim talked about it a little bit there on the podcast bro or sorry on the interview, but this event had a thirty three hundred dollars buying. I gotta say you were a bit rusty. Yes, I was very y. The holy hell, oh my god, yes, I've not done that. I'm out of the gate. With the how are you feeling? Question is like the worst question, this is, Jim, I know I we should have We should because you and I do the interviews over the summer. We should have like a bet if you start an interview with the how you're feeling, you like, oh, the person like a week of coffee. I was trying to go on a different route and I couldn't get the words out. I just was, yeah, you're exactly right. I had a long off season from interviews that was pre season. Didn't do too well. So we're going to start warming up soon. Yeah, promise it's good to start warming up so we can hit that first World Series of Poker events, you know, in full swing. As I said. Red Land top of the Texas Poker Open main event, four hundred thousand dollars score for him in terms of PGT stuff, his first cash of the season, you heard Tim asking where the heck he's been. He's been traveling essentially. Yeah, so yeah, he beat Daniel Moran and heads up play. Daniel Moran is a young like mid twenties, I think, a British kid, really really good player. If you are unfamiliar with Dan Moran, I would expec I would urge you to get familiar with him, because I think he's gonna be somebody who makes some noise in these recent years. He took second place for two nd seventy five k just one hand, a single hand of heads up play in this event. Sure rigged. Yeah, they deal Moran two tens. They deal Red Linn too. Jack's money goes in See you later. Ren Linn's the champion. Jonathan Tomayo one hundred and eighty thousand for third place, Yunk You Song one hundred and thirty three thousand for fourth place, Daniel Holmes one hundred and three thousand for fifth place, and our guy Brent Hanks shout out Brent Hanks eighty three thousand dollars for a sixth place finish. There, great run by him. I've said it before and I'll say it here on this podcast. If I haven't already, but listening to Brent Hanks talk, you know, doing commentary alongside Jeff Platt in the booth so often, I'm always like, Brent, man, why don't you play more poker? Like you clearly understand the game still very much. You are clearly in tune with, you know, the modern poker, the way that it's being played, the strategies, et cetera. He's probably got a lot of reps within him just in terms of watching the high rollers all the time play, So why don't you just get out there and play a little bit more? Thought Brent played pretty well overall. His bust out hand a little bit questionable, very questionable. Well, yeah, you for sure would have never done that, but you lose whatever I mean it was. I don't mind the line that he took, which he basically punted off with a flush and straitch on the turn. But I think against the player who was Jonathan Tomayo, I think Jonathan tomow is going to be prone to call pretty light there and not be able to fold some a decent hand. So I wouldn't have picked that spot, probably just because of who it was up against. But the general thought that that Brent was going for you know, I didn't totally hate also at that point, you know, I mean it's like you start with nine players, you get down to the final six, like at some point you when do you want to start like playing to win. I think that's probably what Brent decided there, like I'm going to try and kind of use this opportunity here, use the equity that I have and try and pick up some chips, and you know, if it works, it works. If it doesn't, well I'm out, and you know, shit happens. But whatever. Tyler Brown seventh place, sixty six thousand dollars. Tyler Brown absolutely got wrecked at the final table. I mean, this guy just kept getting his money in good I think it was three massive hands where he was a huge favorite in all of them and just lost. And it was just brutal to watch. Tyler Brown, extremely good player, won the what do you win? The Mystery Millions events? It was a million maker. He won a million dollars, that's all I remember. Yeah, I think it was the Mystery Millions event at the World Series of Poker in twenty twenty two, I believe, or maybe it was last year. I can't remember. But he won a million dollars for that. I remember that event. Tyler Brown made a sick call. Yeah with Ace high high when that one Ryan Rece we all know Ryan Rees former ws AP made him and champion. He got eighth place for fifty two thousand dollars. Miguel Hussey, uh ninth place excuse me? For forty thousand dollars. So seven hundred and thirty five entries. Do you remember what the prize pool came in at. It was It was two two five two two o five two million, two hundred and five thousand dollars in the prize school guarantee was two hundred thousand dollars two million dollars, sorry, two million dollars. Excuse me, you were there, you're the CGT commissioner. I mean, what are your thoughts? We are your takeaways from this this tournament for right now, let's just talk specific to the main event. Personally, I felt it was a success, mainly because my thinking is, you know, if we hit the guarantee, it sets up us to do this again. Now, if we have fallen short of the guarantee, it's like, do we really want to try this again? It didn't work so from that aspect, I did really I was very happy that we made it because it sets up what we can do next. It also sets up taking this idea to potentially other places around the country. As for the actual number, I feel like we definitely fell short because of certain reasons. Obviously, there was we had a small window to fit this in, and I think a lot of players, you know, a lot of players skipped ours and basically went Seminal Choctaw or they went win Choctaw, which is fine. I'm not judging Adam Hendrix, but you know, if we had more no, no, no, no, it's it's what I'm saying is WPT Chalcter updates and these there are plenty of players that should have done the Texas Swing chalk to I mean, I don't know why you would, just that just makes sense to me. So then then if you're like, oh, it's too much, too little bit of a window, Like you know, I need time off, there's a whole crap ton of time off from now to dub is a b There's three and a half weeks off, so that's your time off. Look, I'm not gonna I'm not really going to judge anyone. I'm gonna just say that's fine. They made that choice. Now we're already talking next year. This was a success, so we can kind of basically try and own a window. We can own say February or March, whatever we decide, which is going to help. But yes, like I said, we were missing players. We also had, you know, a big online tournament that a lot of the players were in the hotel playing and not firing the main event, so you lose a couple entrants there. We also canceled the first turbo flight. The turbo flights were way too early. We had to make that. We had to make them much later, and you know, to be honest, Champions was a little scared that, you know, it would get nine players and it would finish in an hour and we would have to roll back the clock on day two. To that point, they completely forgot that in the structure sheet that says turbo flights do not count the clock rollback yeahs do not apply. Yeah, so little I reckon we left. We could have you know, in the second turbo five, we were like sixty, we'd probably get like, let's say we get thirty there. Let's say we get those ten people you know that were playing online. Let's say they play, there's forty there. You know, there's like just some little numbers, like little tweaks where we also had a monster stack playing out on day one day, we hurt our numbers, so maybe we steal, say twenty people from that, So maybe we were more closer to eight hundred than the seven thirty five we finished with. But that's okay. We're going to learn from those lessons. We're going to you know, when we do next years, we're going to make it, you know, be all in on this main event and make sure we do things on the front end and the back end to maximize the numbers. Now, they want to already up the guarantee. We know how it is with guarantees. You don't want them to just go to three million. That would be kind of silly. But yeah, bump it up a little, set the biggest prize pool guarantee in Texas history, and like try and slowly inch up and make this like a long term recurring thing. So I agree with you on not going too crazy with the guarantee. I would suggest two and a half million seems like a nice clean number. Let's go there, let's reevaluate after that one's done, and then you know, possibly go higher after that. I think that that's great one thing that I would like to start pushing for now. Hopefully you're on my side with this, but I mean there will be When you say that, I immediately get scared. I'm just letting you know, so I understand that it doesn't matter. I'm still gonna say it. I'm still going to suggest it. I'm just prefacing everything with that. That's I understand. Let's let's do like some sort of satellite here in Vegas in the studio. I'm down, you know, like maybe like maybe like two days of satellites. Pick a weekend when it's kind of a dead time for us, you know, affordable buy in something where, something where it can be like you know, you and I and and Brent and Jeff and like you know, the poker go people in Vegas can can also go play and and you know, we get you want to come et some steak and salmon with us? I know you, yeah, And I want to do having my way paid for essentially. Yeah, But but like I think that that would be the cool. It gives people an opportunity to obviously, you know, qualify for a PGT event, which is cool. I think it also gives people, you know, an opportunity to play inside the studio, which is you know, kind of cool as well. So you know, I think we could do something where it's like, I don't know, five hundred dollars buy and win, like a you know, each thing is like a five K package type of thing, because you know, Champions does have the hotel on property. You know, you got to have travel that sort of thing, which I think could you know, could draw you know, fairly well, especially if it's like something we kind of like put out there and market it and you know whatever. So yeah, that's something that I would like to see us do. And you know, even if you qualify I don't know, five to ten people, let's say. I mean, that's still like a good amount of people that you know, creates that that story of you know, people qualified here they're able to text play, So I think that that would be be cool. I also think that, like I mean to me, it would be something that I think Champions would want to be on board with, you know, helping out because ultimately it's getting more people to come down and experience what they have to offer. It seems Listen, I've never been to Champions. You obviously have been there, but like seeing what the players talked about, even what Renland said in the interview you did with him, seeing some other players, I mean, it seems like everyone loves this. Yeah, I mean it's great that the you know, I talked to Josh are about this. It's great that the hotel is like directly above you because it's kind of like it's very similar to like WPT voyage, where everyone's in one spot and they're all playing cash or they're all eating together, they're working out together, they're playing Chinese poker, they're playing super satellites. They're all kind of in one spot and it's a lot of fun. I don't think anyone's like really complained about, you know, being you know, on site. They do have a small hotel, but I think next year we've already discussed how we can kind of own more of the hotel for just PGT players. But yeah, that's that's great. The food is unbelievable, as we've already kind of touched on, not just like you know, the there's a wide array of options. It tastes great. It's very well priced. The service is excellent. I had I was going to ask you about the food. So I'm happy you're getting into us, and i just want to say that, like it's it's easy for like I'm on the outside because I didn't go to this right so I'm looking and I'm like, Okay, it seems like everyone's raving about the food. And everyone has raved about the food even before this series, like Jeff and Brent have always toold about it and everything. And I'm like, like, is everyone just saying that, because like, you know, everyone's kind of partnered here, and you know, you say the nice things versus your partners. There are people, you know, calling it like they see it and giving their honest opinion. You're telling me it's honest. You're telling me the food's great. Yeah. Look, look you already kind of mentioned it the first day. I had the fil a. Then I moved to the strip, and then I moved to the te Bone, and then I went back. I didn't like the t bone of the strip. I went back to the pil a. The whole futful thing. Yeah, so you know there's things you're gonna like there's things you're not going to like. I will say here's the negative. They're very like strict on when the I think last call for the main menu is ten pm, and I think it at least three times I tried to order dessert at like ten oh five. Two times I got completely showered. One time the waitress brought me chocolate cake and ice cream, so loved her for that. But yes, that's probably the downside to the food is the strictness on the menu and kind of some of the options. I feel like, maybe it's a little small of a menu, but I don't think you're going to find anyone that's going to really complain about the food. It was sensational so and like, look, if you don't really want to eat that stuff, hey man, Uber eats whatever. Walk somewhere else, go to the grocery store. There's a lot of options. It's Texas. You walk to places like where what's the look? You know? Well, they like it's I think it's I would say it's kind of like in things in between Chinatown and Koreatown. I walked every day to Starbucks ten minute walk, and then on one day I walked to get donuts. It was a forty minute walk. So and I also say, like, don't walk in Houston because it's like it's nothing's like really close. But like so it's like Vegas people think that they can walk from the winter to Vlajio and then they've been walking, but like you can because that's a nice walk. This is like, Okay, when I walked from the hotel to the donut shop right, which was forty minutes away, it was like I was walking down Flamingo like like it was just lots of cars and very like industrial in a way, so like it's not like that area. Yeah, but it lifts us extremely cheap or I mean there's people who will be eating and Amazon priming food all the time, but at the end that you don't have to like the steak is fifty bucks, like it's you know, everything's dirt cheap. So yes, there's a little bit of maybe like blowing wind up people's butts, but I've literally tried everything on the menu. Do you think the like the PGT regulars liked it, Like what's the feedback there? I mean, I know you're regularly in conversation with these, so to be honest, a lot of these guys lost their hosses, so they'll probably ended up losing rolls, you know, so I think they're a little tilted at that. But what were they what were they? Were they like German cash games? Like guys, you saw the thing that Pokenese put out. Seande was in for thirteen buyings in one day in the main event or whatever it was. These guys, these guys were firing. There's a one you remember thirteen. I think Chino put on his his Instagram stories that he's in for like at least nine, if not ten that I saw, and it could have been maybe more. These guys are are firing bullets NonStop. The action is in. I saw three people bust firsthand in level one or two. I mean, listen, speaking of the speaking of the action, you know, we we so we did live streams every single day of the main event. Then we did other live streams of some of the other high roll or final tables. Now, I mean, I feel like I have to get down to Texas to play these times. I mean, the stuff that I was seeing is out of control, and I like, I have I have like multiple group chats with different poker friends of mine and whatnot. I'm like all of them, you know that we're watching, or like we need to go down there, like we need to like make our trip. I mean, it seemed like it was if you're like any sort of poker player that like thinks you're reasonably decent that would play, you know, let's say for the main amount of thirty three hundred dollars buying, or you would sell and get in there and take your shot there Like this seems like a it seems like a must attend stop just with with the action that was being played. I'm gonna I'm gonna give you a heads up, breaking news kind of thing. I'm already talking about the next one. And just for the record, Houston has a pretty big rodeo in February, so my plan is to bring it up more to February. So let's say if we inserted in February this year, maybe we just kick out the mixed game series. No, actually, the mixgame series is going to be earlier next year. We'll go mixed games Texas Poker, Open Pogo a Cup Poker A Cup would be more like the March window, and then we do a PLO series and then you do the USPO I feel like close to the rodeo would help numbers but also give more activit it is for people to do outside of going to an Astros game or you know, just going shopping for cowboy boos and coverle hats. So yeah, look, we're going to improve it. The one thing we did that I really am going to like toot my own haunt a little bit is that, you know, we had one hundred I know we're going to touch on the results, but we had one hundred and five players in the first five k p alot. Immediately the players were like, can we cancel the no limit, you know, because ten k might be too be I was like, I'm not going to cancel an event, but like we can add an event. So we like, within like thirty forty minutes of talking to you know, everyone at Champions that make sure we had staff, made sure we had dealers, you know, everything, we put on another event. And I love that we have in a place like this, we do have some flexibility to kind of I would say, do what we want, but do what is best for the players that are there on site spending money playing all the events. Yeah, I mean, listen, my I guess my one question to you or like pushback on moving the tournament up is like, doesn't it fit in the window with right before wpg chalk T. I mean, isn't that ideal in a lot of ways? So, yes, that was the plan, right, but speaking to players like it's like, well, it's just a stop, Like it's more about the value of the stop, and we can make the stop more valuable by owning a window. So if we can own say February for three weeks, not three weeks of PGT events, just like say a three week schedule with the five hundreds, they whatever they want to do that builds into the Texas Poker Open instead of trying to sandwich this in between the two series. So we're basically having to force players to do that. We do it in February, Like now it's just two separate chips trips to Texas, Oklahoma area, So it's not yeah, like we were kind of all in on the Texas swing. But you can see if you look through Choctaw and then look through our updates, you can see, yes, there is a lot of overlap, but there's also a lot of people that skipped ours all will skip Choctaw. So I think the best chance to maximize is also isolate them because there's also a large series on right now, so we can just isolate that area's events. I think it's more like it's actually probably better for each of those stops. Well, there are a lot of cash games running all the tournaments, Like during the tournament series that yeah cash, the cash games were popping like it's like they do round of each they do like deal dealer, change bomb parts. I mean, I can't speak for how much Brandan Hanks last, but I'm not sure if he came home with any money after finishing six. So the games are pretty insane. A lot of if you if you're a PLO player, this is probably the place to come if you're not playing in Vegas or you want some action instead of you know, the knits waiting for double suited ases. And that's the think of me saying that there was a bunch of other events that qualified for the PGT as part of the Texas Poker Open, a bunch of high roller events. I'm just gonna run through the winners of those events. So the first high Roller was won by Victoria Liftshitz forty five, five hundred dollars for her in that win. Aram Zobian, the reigning US Pokero Open champion, He won the second high roller for forty eight six hundred dollars. Then it was Daniel Sepiel. You guys all know him from winning the WPT World Championship event in December. He won the third high roller for fifty two, seven hundred and forty dollars. Actually made a deal heads up with Josh Carier. Ari took a little bit more money fifty four five hundred dollars, But they really wanted that that belt buckle trophy. It's the best trophy I've seen in a long time. It's so good. I like, I was actually hoping the final high roller would be canceled so I could buy the belt off Isaac and wear it. But then I went digging to who designed it, and he has a local shop in Texas. I think I'm getting one made for next time, Like I says PGT on it something like epic. Isaac is Isaac Trumbo, the president of the Champions Club down in Texas. That's so Tim's referencing there. The fourth high roller. Clement Dang won that one for eighty five thousand seven and fifty dollars and then high Roller at number five Bradley Rubin topped that one for one hundred and fifteen two hundred and fifty dollars had it made a deal with Fred Norman, who took one hundred and five thousand dollars. This was the tournament's you kind of quickly touched on it earlier, but record biggest prize school in Texas for a PLO tournament, which I think messaging me at the time that you were kind of surprised. Yeah, but I think like double the previous record. I think it just speaks to the fact that Texas and poker like it is right now, is still very new, like it's it's still a very young industry, very young region in terms of having like these you know, these these legalized card rooms that they have there now, right. So one thing that's interesting is, you know, I think that you obviously be in the PGG commission, need to keep in mind, but once you put it out there that you said a record, people are going to be gunning for that record. So you put it get on to hit that hit that record next time. High Roller number six Joey Weisman won that one. For one hundred and sixteen thousand dollars high Roller number seven. This was the added event, a turbo event. David Masruloff, I hope I pronounced that correctly, Sorry if I didn't. David sixty four hundred dollars there. Mazrule Off kind of was like a breakout performer in a way. There there were people in the in the chats of the live stream saying that he might be the best player. That's like on the verge of coming out of Texas. So when they were saying that, I'm assuming that he's a local player there. He finished the PGT Texas poke Ropen series with five cashes. He had this victory, he had a third or fourth a six, and then he also came twelfth in the main event, twelve in the main event of course, from seven hundred and thirty five entries, and then the final event, Isaac kemp In won that one eighty six thousand, four hundred dollars. My takeaway before I ask your thoughts on these high roller events is I I feel like the five K price point is the price point. Yes, ten K you could definitely see like a big drop off. And then also you know we probably just want to work on scheduling a little bit in terms of like when we're having these. But you know, I think the five k's were pretty awesome, but then there was kind of a big drop off to the ten case. So, you know, our first time going there for this sort of thing in this region in Texas, and I think that that's kind of one thing that we're going to be coming away with saying like, Okay, you know, five k's they work pretty well there, so let's focus a little bit more on those for the next time around. No, yeah, one hundred percent. I already had the suspicion that the tens might be difficult because I've never really done that kind of buying in the PLO especially well, I thought I thought the ten when I saw the five k PLO numbers, I was like, Oh, the ten k'll it'll just be like half essentially, Yeah, in terms of entries, it'll it'll meet the price bool. So I was thinking like, oh, you're going to send me another text saying like, oh, we said another record. Yeah. The problem with the tank k was looking at the uniques. We lost a lot of the locals. That was the biggest drop off, Like I'm talking like twenty you know, twenty locals didn't play that. And the other part was that a couple of the guys that were, you know, a little stuck on the trip just had to skip that event and start their drive to chuck to So that really hurt the overall numbers for that final ten KPLO. But yeah, I think we learned a lot. You know, there's a little talk of a mini maybe PLO series later in the year to be like the lead into our to our major PLO series, try and like, you know, promote get some of these Texas guys to come at you know, the lower price points. So I think I think you should look to target like a mini PGT PLO series that takes place in Texas, but that has kind of the same structure as what was done for the Texas Poke Open. And what I mean by that is do like a big main event. You know, I already have written the schedule. Yeah, like, you know, thirty hundred dollars buying. I mean, I'm just throwing this out there. I have no idea what she wrote down the buying, Like, I don't know, a million dollar guarantee yourself. That's exactly what I have and I have we ch I don't think anyone's really doing that for PLO. Well they're not, so we're gonna do it. We're going to do the same turbo flight on day two. But I mean, with with the way they with the way they hold them, I mean, I can't imagine shorter levels in the turbo. I think I had two less flights because I don't think we need that many flights, and then we'll just sprinkle a couple of five K one day high rollers in there. So I already have a plan. I really have to wait to see, like what starts dropping. Hypothetically, if our PGT PLO series is say the end of October, I feel like this should be the start of October, so there's enough gap in between you don't have to go back to back. But also it gives enough of a push for these local guys that have maybe have never come to our PLO series, So now come and play the PLO series. And maybe we can figure out a way to reward players with some like PGT passports or something. Maybe we can do something like that to kind of incentivize them to come to Vegas. Yeah, I mean overall, I think that I think that this is the start of some sort of evolution for the PGT. I don't exactly know how big of an evolution that that ends up being. You know, I've always said to you, not on this podcast, but like you know that I think the PGT needs to branch out a little bit more. It needs to have more of like what we did here for the Texas bourk g open elsewhere around around the US. You know, maybe like three to four stops like this. So maybe, so hopefully this is a jumping off point in that regard. So that's my hope coming out of it all. So Yeah, as for the PGT leaderboard, it's David Coleman still up on top, thirteen hundred and four points for him, Aramzobian in second, Dylan Wiseman third, Dan mcgrowney fourth, Sammy Cippola in fifth, Stephen Chidwick is in sixth, Kristen Fox and in seventh, Joey Wiseman in eighth, Jesse Lownis ninth, Jonathan Little rounds out the top ten. So Coleman again still up on top. He had two cases down in Texas, so he was able to climb up over the thirteen hundred point mark. He has four wins eleven cashes total on the season. There are three players that are tied with the most caches of eleven, Coleman being one of them. The other two are Aramzobian and Daniel mcgran and. Mcgronney did not make the trip down to Texas, but you know that was that was expected with the whole quality over quantity approach. Doesn't really try. He's not good enough to beat these guys. So it's okay. He's just he's just he's just locked down. I've got to tell your story. I got to tell your story. Hold on, let me finish this and you can tell me the story I'm saying. Negronk is just locked down in Vegas playing some golf, I guess, according to his Twitter, probably working out whatever he's doing, getting ready for the World Series of Poker Ground's king to come in three weeks. All right, go with your finish, to finish the rundown and then we'll uh, I'll tell you my story, all right. Two players have on the PGT leaderboard have more than one million dollars in winnings, and Ramzobian and Dylan Wiseman. Wiseman was the first to eclipse the million mark, a Ramzobian second, and then David Coleman is like eight hundred dollars short or some something like that, so he'll get there pretty soon. You want to do your story now or keep going, keep going, finish it off overall on the on the PGT leaderboard, or at least focusing on the top forty. Of course, the top forty that is what qualifies for the PGT Championship million dollar free role. At the end of the season, notable movements are we have a Ramzobian jumped from third to second, so he knocked on Wiseman down one spot. Joey Wiseman no relation to Dylan Wiseman. Joey Wiseman jumped from thirteenth up to eighth. That knocked out Seth Davies from the top ten. Not a lot of success for Jeremy Osmas and Eric Sidell down in Texas, but both did move up one spot each. Osma's went from sixteenth to fifteenth, Sidell went from nineteenth to eighteenth. I think Sidell ducked out early. Hey, ye go wherever he's going. But Osmas was like building chips early and everything yeah, and then just like he bubbled a lot of stuff, he kind of just fizzled out. But I was like, oh, like, Austin is gonna have a huge series with the way these stacks, and then it ultimately didn't didn't work out too well for him. There. Renlin's main event win, we already talked about it a little bit, but he had that win. He had another cash put him twentieth on the leaderboard. He had zero points coming in to the Texas Pro Grogan, so this is his first foray into the PGT this season. Victoria liveshits good series. Her continues to be a good year for her. She had three cases, She went from thirty fifth up to twenty fifth on the leader boards. She has I believe ten cases on the PGT this season. And then a few newcomers into the top forty. Of course we mentioned Ren Lynn, Isaac Kempton moved up into thirty third, Andrew Lichtenberger thirty fourth, and then Daniel Moran up to thirty ninth. And with those four additions into the top forty, we had some people getting knocked out. Daniel Smilkovich, who was the PGT champion, a PGT championship winner last year. He's knocked out Jerry Wong, Dylan DiStefano, and Bruno Firth all knocked outside of the top forty. And then I guess, just quickly knocking at the door of the top forty is Jeremy Becker, who's in like forty second or something like that. So I know there's a lot of buzz around Jeremy Becker. He's very much engulfed in playing the high roller tournaments that we are having on the PGT continues to have some success, so we'll see if he can continue to make some noise as we head into the World Series of Poker for the summer. All right, what's your story. I've got two stories, and they're very connected. First of all, people know that I like to speak my mouth. Whatever I'm thinking, I'm just going to say to these players, I'm honest. There was one incident with Jim call Up. He's like, why don't we you know, shouldn't we be combining at eight? And I said, I said, Jim, and that's been a long time since you made a final table. But for this season, PGT combines a seven and Joey Weisman just like laughed his head off and he's like, I just I just love how you say whatever you want to him. The second story relates to Sean deep. Now, I've just said a lot of things about Sean and how he is not good enough to compete in the studio. He is nowhere near the best all round player anymore. That title belongs to Dylan Weisman, and I will stick with that statement that he you know, he cashed in the three k Maine, that's it. He can't win in the studio. And I see him, he comes up, he starts talking, yapping at me. I'm like, it's just true. I'm so sorry. What do you want me to say? And he goes, well, yeah, I mean my roy in the studio is like eleven percent. Why would I do that or something? I go, I know you're not good enough. Dylan Weisman's ROI is like sixty percent, and that's why he's the best allround player. Sean gets up, very thin and strong. Sean now puts me in a headlock on the floor in Champions Club, you know, jokingly, obviously, and then he says something about like I'm going to I'm going to tell Carry to do this. I go carry Harry might be my boss, but you know, he's not gonna tell me anything. And then Sean and Kerry were playing together. At one point he said something about it and like carry goes. Yeah, Tim doesn't listen to me. Tim does his own thing, So good luck. I thought it was funny. But yeah, I'm going to stick to my statement about Sean not being the best around poker player until he turns back up in the studio. I mean, he's clearly one of the soft wsp fields, only that he doesn't show up. He's not Josh Arieh shows up, Daniel o'gano shows up, John Hannigan shows up. You don't know what's happening online, doesn't matter. The only thing that matters in this world is the p G T. Okay in your world, Yes, the world the like you know Capital t H. The world is the pg T. Is that your only story? I got? I got so many stories I haven't we need a not for work hour. First, you're beef beefing with by the way, this like made it to the stream, Yeah, exactly, yelling about you. Yeah, yeah, that's my point. First, you're beefing with Jim Collie. Now you're now you're beefing with Sean Deeve. I mean, are you just going to be beefing with everyone on the on the whoever's gonna happen. You have to understand then, I'm a cowboy now and I don't give a ship about what you think I'm coming for you. You're laying down the law. Yeah, I'm the sheriff of this town. Oh yeah, yeah, all right, Well, okay, moving on, I'm gonna hit on EPT Monte Carlo wrapped up yesterday, Dirk van Luke won the EPT Monte Carlo main event, a record setting Monte Carlo main events. He won one million euros, which is about one million and seventy thousand dollars. Second was Boris Angelo for six hundred and twenty thousand euros, and then Rhanayah Nazardine got third for four hundred and forty two thousand dollars. Van Luke, forty three years old. He is a calls himself an investor, also a semi pro poker player, has had some success elsewhere in the world. It's not like he just came out won this event out of nowhere, but out of nowhere he was all in with with eight people left with ace jack. I think it was ace Jack clubs against aces Flopp was two clubs and he went jack jack to stay alive. So so Van Luke getting quite lucky there, just alive, and then of course goes on to win EPT Monte Carlo six hour heads up match. The heads up match was so long that they had to stop the stream on YouTube because they hit the limit and start a new stream. That's how long the final day went, because the heads up match between Van Luke and Angelov was six hours long. Van Luke is, he's Dutch and he is expecting a third kid. His his wife or his partner was on the rail while he won there, so he's expecting a third child there, so a bit of some baby run good overall, so so good on him. I mean, it's it's awesome to see EPT Monte Carlo have a record setting field. I think this is now the second consecutive year that's had a record setting field, and then three years ago it had i think one than ninety eight entries, which tied the previous record from several years ago. So EPT is back. EPT Monte Carlo is back. Like I watched this stop, I watched the Poker Stars EPT live coverage. You know when they open the roof of the casino in the morning, I mean it just it gives me chills. Still. I went to this event many times, absolutely loved it there on the French Riviera. I mean, it's just it's so cool. The one thing that I just don't like is I still wish it was a ten K. I just feel like, because it's Monaco, this one can be the ten K, you know. I think you're still going to get people coming out in droves for this one. So so yeah. Patrick Antonius won the one hundred thousand euro Super high Roller. Another record field here. Seventy two entries in this one. He won just under two million euros or just over two point one million dollars. Christoph Vogel saying second, one Pardo third, Byron Caveman, fourth, Ben he fifth, Steven Chidwick got eighth in this one. Alex Kola mentioning him in ninth two hundred and eighteen thousand euros he won. I think it was called the twenty five k warm up for like six hundred something thousand euros earlier in the series, So so yeah, big turnout here. Obviously, the headliner Patrick Antonius. To me, it's like it's like kind of a shame. I feel like that he's not in the Poker Hall of Fame already. I know, the Hall of Fame. We obviously have our gripes with it overall, but I mean, like, what, what what does this guy have to do? I mean, I understand, like he doesn't have the he doesn't have the tournament resume that that a lot of other people have that get into the Poker Hall of Fame. He doesn't have the World Series of Poker resume, you know, specifically. I know people out there do comment that, you know, it's not really the Poker Hall of Fame. It's more than WASP Hall of Fame, you know. Yeah, but David Oppenheim, isn't it right? I understand. I mean, I think Patrick Antonius is just as much deserving, if not, I mean, listen, I would have probably put Antonius in before Oppenheim. He has the winnings these Finland's all the time money list. He's obviously a cash game crusha. He's still playing big tournaments. Yeah, he may not be winning bracelets, but he definitely should be in there. Yeah, I mean, right now, he's he really does just really focus on high roller tournaments. You know, he frequents all the Triton stuff, you know, the the biggest buying tournaments in the world. Is really his focus, and he doesn't really do anything else. And then of course plays the massive cash games. I mean he's also someone who's been he's been doing it forever. I mean, he's been at the top of the food chain for so so so long. I mean when it was you know, back in the full till poker days, those those those Lbird Heaven games, you know, those those absolutely astronomical steaks nosebleeds. I mean, Antonius was a fixture in there and and doing pretty well. You know, he was always battling at the highest stakes. He was often battling Victor islder Blom you know, in the in the huge PLO games heads up. So I mean, I think he checks all of the boxes. To me, he would he would have been should have been a first ballot Hall of Famer, you know. So yeah, he is. He is having his best year in terms of tournaments this year. Obviously, big boost with this event winning you know, two million dollars in this super high roller, but he's up over five million dollars on the year so far, and there's still a bit to go. He's going to be traveling to Triton, Montenegro, which is coming up before the World Series of Poker. I'm assuming he'll be out at the World Series of Poker to play cash games during the summer, and then maybe we see him dip into like the two fifty K or stuff like that, and then you know, there's obviously a bunch of other trading events, EBTs, et cetera coming up through this year, so I would expect him to put up some more results. Yeah, I mean, I mean, what do you think is he a Hall of Famer? To you? Should he be in? Is he gonna get in next time? You know, we always talk about the backlog and all that sort of stuff. So no matter what's your temperature on Patrick into, I think he should be in. Will he get in is a completely different debate. Uh. I would probably bet he doesn't get in, to be honest, with the current criteria and the and the amount of players that are also deserving, you know, maybe slightly more than Patrick. So unless they expand or you know, maybe someone re you know, takes over the Hall of Fame and kind of rejigs it. I think it will be hard for him to get in, but yeah, he deserves it. I mean he also helps like if you're if you're like on the Poker Hall of Fame side, you know, one of the things that that it draws some criticism for at times is like there's not enough European people or old people in there, right, so this would help check that box too. Patrick is finished, you know, so, and it's not like you're just being like, hey, let's put this guy in here for the token of having another European in there. No, Like, he's very much deserving to be in there, like, you know, so for me, he's in there, like he's he's obviously one of the greatest of all times. You know, he's an absolute legend. You know, just continues to play astronomical stakes and perform it at a pretty high level. So yeah, I mean I also feel like, you know, he has the respect of the biggest players in the world. You know, maybe he's not like the A plus A plus type of like player, but I think he's right there with with everyone else. You know, I think a lot of guys respect his game. You know, don't want to see him at the table, that sort of stuff. So for him to get this win, you know, I think it's it's very cool. Patrick is a very deserving player, I feel like, so so yeah, I mean, I just feel like we got to kind of give him his flowers. You know. I feel like, because he is someone who focuses on high stakes cash games, he kind of gets lost in like the best player conversation at times, right, and you know, understandably, so again he's more out of the spotlight. But this win, a win like this on a stage like this, being at EPT Monty Carlo puts him very much back into that spott and allows us to talk about it. So I'm team Patrick Antonius. I'll never forget when they made him eat a ham or cheeseburger, remember that at Ouzie millions years ago. But yeah, let's go Patrick Antonio's for the Hall of Fame. Let's start the campaign and then just wrapping it up with twenty five k EPT high Roller. There are several like high roller events. I think Nacho Barbaro won a fifty K high roller. There's a bunch of other twenty five k' is. Alex Kolev I mentioned already won one of those, but like the official like quote unquote EPT Monicle high Roller is the twenty five k EPT high Roller. Luca Maierki won that one for just under one point one million euros one point or sorry, one million, one hundred and sixty thousand dollars two hundred and forty seven entries there, which I think is also a record. So yeah, I mean, EBT Monty Carlo is crushing. The EPT is crushing. Probably my favorite tournament series outside of the un US by far. We love the the EPT, love everything they do from a branding perspective. You know, Porker Stars is obviously top of the top. So so yeah, that that's that's EPT Monte Carlo and that's what happened there. They did a lot of live stream coverage. Been been watching it over the couple of days. Sam Grafton and Griffin Banger do a lot of the analyst duties. I think those guys have really solid minds. So if you're interested in like learning more about poker, hearings come some you know, strategy analytical talk alongside tournament play. You know, I would encourage you guys to check it out because it's it's good stuff there. So so yeah, and I guess that's the podcast. And deep's an interesting case now, I guess, because he obviously puts in an insane volume at the World Series, but he's also going to be playing everything online. Now is that going to be a detraction because it doesn't count for twenty five K? So any sort of mental energy you're giving to that and then not focusing on the live stuff, you know, how does that shake out? So I think that's a that's one talking point that we're gonna need to think about. We obviously had deeb on our team last year and and you know he's one of the top dogs in this competition. So so we'll see how that goes. But I'm interested. Daniel thinks we're going to get it right around the same team, same number of teams this year, eighteen to twenty.
