I really here other people watching, but this wasn't just anyone. This was a you know, eleven year old girl seems to love the WSP. I saw the tweet I responded, I said, let me know when you're back here, I'll get a goodie bag. The dad responded, you know Phil home with real coup pokers such. Anyway, we organized a little a little meat meet up and I had some like special things. I got the five four off suit. You know, she was okay putting it on the podcast because her and her dad, they listened to the pod in the car rides. They're in Vegas. They're having fun. So that was it. That's the I mean, I mean, I feel like I can't swear. Now. It's fine. She's watching WS she's probably seeing the Chikan Mattis album. You know, wearing a hand you need to shut the gun. Oh, I ames Kyrie and my dad plays poker, so and we play in the basement sometimes. So yeah, and I watched Poker Gol and I met Phil Helmis last time we came to Vegas and that was really cool. I'm wondering if it's a preemptive move. Well, this also it says twelve pm on the structure seat. But what I'm saying is the plogo move today due to the seniors. I'm wondering if this is a preemptive move by the WSP and then they'll just announce it tomorrow. How can you announce it tomorrow? The tournament starts soon. Floor, tell me two pm. You get a floor. They also tried to rule that that lady didn't put in the call and that she raised, which was one hundred percent not true in the two K so that definitely didn't happen here on time. I'm looking at their Twitter right now because I'm trying to see if they possibly have anything. I could probably just send a message to keV Matt to figure that out. I mean, this doesn't say this has important notes about the tantent event. All right, let's get into the actual news and happenings, the actual important off fifty thousand dollars poker players Championship, ninety nine entries more than one point three million dollars for first place. There are five players remaining because phil Ivey absolutely torched it. What about Ivy? With six players left under the gun, they're playing nola and hold them. Phil Ivey's got I think it was eighteen point seven five big blinds pocket threes. He just moves all it. What I mean, what phil what are you doing? Like? Just fold the threes? Like, no, you just fold the threes. You don't play threes, you just fold them, Like, just fold them. There's no point in playing threes at that stage. Just put them in the muck. Just end of story. There's threes, don't flop. Well, you gotta play on a position against a bunch of other pretty good players. I understand you know you're probably like thinking you're you're better than those players that nola and hold them. But I mean, Talasha Kerchie certainly knows what he's doing. Brian Rass certainly knows what he's doing. Like you know, it's not going to be the easiest spot to play. Just fold your three. He's into the muck. They go, into the muck, they go. You don't like eighteen point seven five big lines is a pretty good stack. You don't need to do it to La Shakirchi has ace Jack of clubs. He ends up calling the shove flops an ace our guy, Phil Ivy, the guy everyone was rooting for, the ten time Gold Bracelet winner going for his eleventhsp Gold bracelet. Bus out in sixth place to Lasha Kirchi takes a pretty large chip lead into the final five on Thursday. He's going to be leading the way over Matthew Ashton, James Opst, Brian Rast and Christopher Tong. This final table will stream on poker Go. Remco was solo for a little bit while Kevin went and put a stack into the fifty hundred dollar horse and then busted. Sounds like somebody just won something over there. That is the fifty hundred mixed Omaha High low. UM can't tell if the person doesn't seem like the person won the tournament because he just sat back down. It looks like a double that is going on across the room. The only thing left in this room tonight other than us podcasting and then today uh I did commentary alongside Kevin Garhart. Kevin Gerhart is an absolute saint for sitting alongside us letting us learn some of his knowledge. I don't think I've ever learned so much from listening to someone talk about poker. Then I have Kevin Garhard every time he talks mixed game strategy. Last year, if you were with us when we did the stud eight final table, Remco and I Kevin Gerhart was with us the whole time till that thing went to the early early hour of the morning. But learned a lot there. I learned a lot yesterday while laying on my couch being half sick listening to Kevin Gerhart talk with Remco and then today just being alongside Kevin Gerhart listened a lot to him. Talashakerchi is leading. He's got ten point one seven million in chips. Matthew Ashton second. Matthew Ashton, a former winner in the fifty KPPC, going for title number two in the event. He's got seven point three eight million. Then it's James Opst in third place with five point one million, and then Brian Rast. Brian Rast a two time winner in the fifty k PPC, a five time gold race the winner overall. He's going for his six career gold bracelet, his third time winning the PPC. I mean, to me, I feel like Brian Rast is he has to be the Hall of Fame front runner. I feel like it's him for me, it's it's like him, probably Patrick Antonius, Daniel Lahy, Like. I think those are the guys in the mix right now. Yeah, and like and Josh are probably. I mean my thing with why don't quite put Aria there yet? Not that Ari's not gonna get in, because I think Ari is going to get in, It's just this year, who am I putting in? I think it's those other guys ahead of someone like Aria, ahead of someone like Ozmus, you know. I mean, Brian Rast has the super high stakes cash game play. I mean, the fact that he's already won two PPC titles is just out of control. And then of cour he could possibly win a third UM behind Brian Rast. Bringing up the rear in this five handed battle tomorrow is Christopher Tong, a high stakes cash game player mostly high stakes ashame player, lives in Texas. UM he is I believe he's thirty seven years old. Um. He credits uh having kids and being able to help his parents, as is the greatest accomplishments in life. Has a fiance who was here for much of the final day or day four today watching him play. So yeah, that's a Christopher Tong. He like joked with I think he was joking with Ivy where he like I think Ivy asked him, like, do you play these games a lot? Christopher Tong said no, which is just flat out lie. Like if you look at his hendimb, he doesn't have a ton of results, but the majority of them are mixed games. In like twenty thirteen, I think it was he came second to Mike Grodinski in the Twente event, the event everyone hates by the way, like no one likes that turn. They all just play it anyway. But he came second to Mike Gardinski there. He has like some horse cashes, some other mixed game cashes. So yeah, he plays, He plays the games. He knows what he's doing. He was talking about possibly playing some high stakes cash on either Hustler maybe World Poker Tour of like maybe some PLO high stakes cash, but he was saying on the stream that he might not do it because he thinks that he's vulgar when he talks mean, I'm vulgar when I talk, I swear a lot whatever, but he was perfect. Yeah, He's like, He's like, I don't really want to embarrass myself on TV, so I might just not play those games. So so yeah, so he was talking about that stuff on the livestream today. Livestream is very fun. As I said again to Losher Kirchi is leading the way. That fifty k PPC final table six pm Eastern time, three pm Pacific time on Poker Go on Thursday, June twenty second. Okay, that's what I want. What's gonna happen in the tag team a bit? Yeah, it is right, that is right. Um, but yes, his kids, his kids and wife are in Omaha, Nebraska a Little League World Series. I think his son or sons won two games today, so there's like five more to go or something like that. Yeah, it looks like we definitely have a winner of a William Leffingwell defeats Zen Sai Zen Kai. Yeah, and final table one mixed on Maha High Low, so I guess we'll touch on that soon. Yeah, anyway, kids are a Little League World Series gets through, wins his first WSP bracelet and over one point one six million dollars that final table. So I couldn't watch it. Kevin and I were doing commentary on the fifty k PPC Day four so we could watch that final table. It sounded like madness, Like every twenty minutes, it sounded like they were going to tear down the stage. It was just the Monster's deck every single year delivers like the most epic final table. It just madness. I mean, it's largely because it's a fifteen hundred dollar buying you know. I know they have on the schedule the Mini Main Event, but in a lot of ways, this is the mini miniment because because of the way that the structure plays out, like you can only enter twice. Okay, I know the Mini Main Event itself is a freeze out, but this one it's a little bit more of a drawn out structure. In the days, it's four or five days long, you know, So the play is deep, the play is long. It's a lot of It's a tournament where a lot of more recreational or amateur players come out, they fire their fifteen hundred dollars in, they try and win a boatload of money. Last year it was Mike Jukis who won nine hundred and sixty six thousand dollars and jumped on the table after he wants this year one point one six million dollars for a Dunaway. It sounded like somebody was jumping on the table, if not twenty people were jumping on the table. He had a massive raym just loud, energetic, it was. It was just insane out here. He hit two three out us ace queen versus King twice. He hit the queen wow um, And that was probably the charing you were hearing from back in. Yeah, it sounded epic. It's definitely one of those that I want to go back and watch and I will do so. But you were able to speak to Dunaway afterwards, so we will play that interview for you now. Braxton, congratulations. Wsp brace that. When I spoke to you yesterday and I said, you know, I want to feel that policy is probably two hundred pizza a minute, I didn't think we could have topped it, but we did. Right, You're a brace that when I how are you feeling right now? Deep down inside? Oh? I feel amazing. I'm not gonna lie. It's it's like a culmination of a bunch of hard work, and just like I said, heartache and bad things, you know, like when you when you play, you know you don't it didn't always go your way kind of thing. So it's just nice too. A lot of things didn't go my way yesterday on a lot of rivers and things like that, and I just stayed. I stayed really even keeled and didn't let it really get to me. And just I just was kind of in the like the slot, so to speak. I just you know, you know, in a good zone where it didn't bug me, and I knew that I was just going to keep playing and where the chips fell, played my best and see what happens. You know. I got lucky a few times tonight, which was awesome. But you have to do an these things. I mean, you just said things didn't go your way yesterday, but I felt today at the final table of things he touched on, it went your way. Nearly every time. I feel the same, you know, other than maybe one, uh all in race with Jesse, who was a great opponent. I mean, everybody was super super great at the table. I thought we had a pretty good table and and everybody was, you know, playing our best and no, there was no like animosity or anything. I think everybody was just trying to win, you know, and one can and I'm just very fortunate and that it was me. I must say that at the World Series so far, where you know, several weeks in your rail is without doubt the number one loudest, most energetic rail. It was pretty amazing to win in front of all your friends, right, Oh, it was awesome. And several flew out today just that we play poker, I mean weekly together and like I said, a lot of time away from family and things like that. You know, poker is not a very social sport, so when we're when we're playing poker, I'm away from the wife and kids. And she's very understanding. So um yeah, a lot of really good friends that are rooting for me, Ivan, several flu out just to watch today, and I'm just glad that I was able to come out on top. I want to touch on the wife and kids. I know you mentioned them yesterday. I think you said your kids a little league tournament in Omahara something and unfortunately you're missing that right now. But as a consolation prize, WSP brace of us are getting to see your kids, you know, swing the bat. It's it's it's pretty pretty good prize. I feel like absolutely, and I am headed there to watch so I get to kill you know, two birds, one stone. It works out, I get to do both. So and I plan to come back out here and for sure play the main So that's one of my favorite tournaments. You know, once you play that kind of structure, it's just just like this. This was great, And I will say that all the WSOP, all you guys, everybody's been so nice and accommodating and trying to work with everybody, and with such a huge field, I can't imagine how much logistics goes into that. So, I mean, just props to everybody. It was just fun. It's just awesome. Do you consider that that incredible call that he pulled off against Joe Kata heading into this final day and then coming out on top of it all just a wild wild ride. Crazy pretty cool chance. Corneth finished in fourth place. Karai Aldemir got six, Tom Markazy and Jason Coon also went deep. We got to give a shout out to our man, Ian Steinman eighteenth place four the twenty five K Fantasy Squad. Ian Steinman picks up. I believe eight points for us, a much needed eight points will take it way to go. Ian, you are the best one dollar player in the universe right now, keep it up. Let's go after or today. Actually, because that played online, you know, we were kind of sweating it online. A lot of big names off carry Katz went deep as well. Yeah he did. Um he's got a fun name, shark Bait eight I believe is his name. So a lot of big names as you would expect in a thirty two hundred dollar buying online events. Um. I think Nick Schulman went fairly deep as well. Kupeshka to Silva was also in there. So yeah, a lot, a lot of big names were running deep in this one. Um. You caught up with Jeremy today day after I did what was he playing today? Well, he's playing multiple events of course, he uh, you know, I sent him. I sent him a DM and I was like, hey, I know you. You know, whenever you wake up, maybe I can grab you for a few minutes before you play the plo he sends. He's sending me one particularly says, I'm actually going to go play the super tuber Bounty for POY. This is an insane person going down. Jeremy Osmins, by the way, another person who's neglecting his family during the summer. Yeah, just like him and I. Um, so I went down to meeting with that. You know, the timing didn't work. He said, let me jump in this and then we'll talk a break or in the plo. He busted that in. I felt like seven minutes, um, and then he was in the PLO. But I got him before that, and uh yeah, this is the interview. Congratulations Jeremy sixth WSP bracelet. He told me the line five am finish time. You still look a little sleepy. I guess how you How does it feel just to win out six bracelet. Uh kind of surreal, you know. Um, I woke up this morning and even last night after I won. It's it's different when you do it online. No one's they're around, and uh, yeah, it's just it's wild. I won that thing like it's you know, quite a it was a big prize. It's it's the most I've ever won online, I think in a tournament by maybe double or something. So yeah, I'm tired, I'm out of it, but it's it's really feels really good. Obviously, thirty two hundred dollar buys pretty big for WSP dot com. And you can kind of tell who was kind of remaining in the last fifteen. You know, Jason Kern, there was Kry out of me, there was Tom Matchasy, you and Chance. So pretty stacked field, so pretty deserving win. I would say, yeah, yeah, sure, I mean it's to be expected in higher buy in field, like you know, tournament like that that you're gonna there's a little surprise to see Jason there, but because he skips a lot alive like ten K's and twenty five seven. But uh, but yeah, and then you have some old let you know, Marques in there, which he I don't see him around playing anymore at all, so to be expected. You know they're they're good players, are gonna make it there for sure. You want your first bracelet. I think it was ten years ago this year, and then there was a little bit we want to call it a college streake, but a little bit of a you know, loll in gould. But you know, five, we've had five wins, five WSB bracelets in twenty one months, which I'm a bit of a stat nut is a record. Previous best was Doyle Brunson and Gary Berland won five in twenty four months, so you kind of hold that record, nest I would say, an incredible accomplishment. Yeah, it's it's unreal. I mean to win, you know, just win one's amazing. And now I've won two at the two previous wsops, which is like unreal. Then I just want another one. Maybe I can, Maybe I can do it again, and you can tell me more cool stats about what I've done. I'd be cool. I kind of want to know. Obviously, when we talk about people's careers and stuff, everyone wants to talk about Hall of Fame, winning the main event, winning the PPC, you have six bracelets, but what you know, what would you like to achieve? That's you know, kind of realistic in your times. I don't know, I mean just you know, first and foremost, I just played to make money and as a game I loved and everything like that. And then, um, I used to play a lot of cash tournaments. We were you know, sporadically here and there. But now I just kind of went full time tournaments and you know, the results are coming in, so at the end of the day, I don't know. Um, I just try to get in there and play my best, and I'd love to win more bracelets. I'd like to win WPT. I've never done that. I don't go to every stop. I'd love to win more Poker Go championships things like that. And I feel like I'm without a doubt at the top of my game, and I feel like I can, you know, likely keep winning. You touched on you know, spending a lot of good career playing cash games, you know here in Vegas or whatever, that time between winning your first and winning the next, you know, nearly ten year, nearly eight years, do you kind of regret maybe not being like all in on the tournaments? And you know you could easily have potentially seven, eight, nine, ten braces now a little bit, you know, M yeah, I probably I'm safe to assume i'd have more right on one more at least or something. But you know, during the series, though I would play a lot of tournaments, I wouldn't. I would still play a little cash, but it was more there just the rest of the year I would play cash games. So I don't know if I missed out on much during the WSP. Since I've made the ft in twenty twelve, I've kind of went pretty hard during the WSP for tournaments. So yeah, I've been there in their train. So six bracelets, you know, two online, we have a PLO high roller, we have that wanting in Europe, the COVID, the COVID bracelet, that limit. Is there any of these six that, like you kind of treasure the most, the win the moment. I mean, it would have to be the fifty k Ploum would just have to be the one. It was an epic final table, I know that, you know that, you know everyone knew was there, just legends galore, the antics at the table, the the three handed with two guys who I've you know, admired and looked up to for since before I got into poker. Um enable to best them, and that was that was definitely you know, as a high roll or bracelet. That was without a doubt, the coolest one of probably the cool one of the coolest poker experience I've ever had outside of final tabling the main event, those are kind of the two. But um, yeah, I send your messages Mounting, Hey you got a few minutes, call me if you can. He said, Well, I'm gonna go play the fifteen hundreds super too, Bounty. You know, I want to chase Poy now that you got that bracelet and a couple of other cash, a couple of other results. Is this you know? Are you are we all land on chining to you know, maybe get py add that to that list of accomplishments. I think. So that is something that I would like to to win eventually, which I didn't bring up a minute ago. It'd be cool to do, I don't go, It's really hard. Like dan Zach and the ground here and Sean Deep from the get go, they're multitabling and firing everything. This year, specifically, I decided to do a reduce schedule folcus on the high rollers, skip all the small stuff now that I have to you know, fifth or fourth or first, I kind of feel like I need to be in there grinding because it'd be it'd be cool to win the poy And honestly, you just have to put in a lot of volume. Two min cashes are worth quite a bit things like that, so I likely be in here more than I have been. Yeah, final question for me two online bracelets. A lot of people at this say, hey, these online bracelets don't count. Obviously you might be a little biased having to do you think, you know, whether it's an online bracelet, whether it's a live bracelet, it's just still it's still WSP gone in your mind it should be everyone's mind. Um, I don't think so. I honestly don't think the WSP bracelets should should count. I should I think they shouldn't have WSP bracelet events honestly because online yes, because there's just you just never know for sure who's playing the account, and I don't know. I kind of wish they would have taken a route of like different levels of b like a gold, platinum, gold, silver, bronze bracelet type thing where the online ones where silvers or something and the lowest buy in ones are bronze or silver or something, and the high rollers or maybe platinum. I think that would have been a cool model to do because honestly, they gave more away in UM because to me, the World Series is here, live in person, playing with people UM and last year they gave way more bracelets online than they did anywhere else. And then certain people you can't even play them, you know, if you're not in a vat in New Jersey or if you can't play on gig. I don't like the online bracelet thing, and they're running more and more of them all the time. I think it's I think it's kind of silly, but it's you know, that's what they're doing. Well, quick follow up question, I know I did said that's my final question. UM. You know, there was that incident with you a couple of months ago. In that event, I think you finished runner up in and you talk about not knowing who some of these people are or trusting their accounts. So when you're playing a big buy in like you did last night, obviously we know some using names we don't know others. Have you approach someone you see, and you just I've never seen that name. I can't find any information. Are you a little worrisome or are you just assuming it's just maybe some of euro that's in town that's just in the event. Yeah, it's that. I mean that comes up every time you're deep in one of these, you know, and me and the people I know will message you said the Hey, who's this? You know a new thing about this guy? And honestly, I just think cheating is a legitimate concern these days. So I just kind of try to watch and see how they play. I see what kind of results they have online, if they if they've ever played live. So yeah, I just think there's certain things that are somewhat suspicious. But it's really hard to say, like with certainty someone is cheating or anything like that. But I think in certain cases you can make a very strong argument for that being the case. But but yeah, you know, at the end of the day, I know what I'm getting into when I sign up, and I know that's a possibility and something I'm cognizance of, and I still want to play, you know, Good for him, good for Team no Gamble. In the future. In twenty five k fantasy as they continue to climb their way up from the bottom. Slowly but surely, they're making some moves. This is one reason why I am not confident that we're going to totally get there. I know we're doing well. I know we're up towards the top of the leaderboard, but it's not over till it's over five hundred dollars no limit, hold him freeze out huge field of five thousand, three hundred and forty two entries in this one two hundred and sixty two thousand dollars up top for the winner. You went on the dream run I mean over five thousand entrants, and then there was one. You made it all the way through biggest career cash. We mentioned the bracelet. How would you describe what this means? It's just someone out there who was inspired by what you just accomplished. I mean, literally take it from me. You can do this. I mean you have to run so incredibly hot. I had quads twice at the final table. I had ace queen that ended up beating a s king earlier today. There was a number of times I was all in on day one that I shouldn't have held. I held, and it's just it's stupid. It's awesome, It's so much fun, and I can't thank you guys enough. This is amazing.
