In the nineteen nineties, I started 74 00:06:36.040 --> 00:06:42.040 gathering information on New York's Orange and Ulster Counties UFO activity, ranging from media 75 00:06:42.079 --> 00:06:46.639 mentions to first hand accounts from personal interviews. To give this effort structure, 76 00:06:46.639 --> 00:06:49.240 I eventually started the pine Bush Nomaly Archive, and with the help of Linda 77 00:06:49.319 --> 00:06:54.279 Zimmerman and Vincent Police, as well as generous contributions from many people who have 78 00:06:54.360 --> 00:06:58.560 stories to share, there now exists a sizable body of accounts, still growing 79 00:06:58.600 --> 00:07:01.279 to this day. The goals is to use this body of cases to discover 80 00:07:01.399 --> 00:07:06.360 patterns within the accounts, and the recent emergence of a legacy siding has highlighted 81 00:07:06.399 --> 00:07:12.839 an aspect of some cases where one or more witnesses see or experience something unusual, 82 00:07:13.240 --> 00:07:17.120 accompanied by odd conditions that seemingly prevent others from sharing in the experience. 83 00:07:17.720 --> 00:07:23.240 I'll start with a case from the early to mid two thousands documented by Vincent 84 00:07:23.279 --> 00:07:27.879 police and myself from first hand witness interviews. It should be noted that all 85 00:07:27.920 --> 00:07:31.759 witnesses for the cases in this segment requested anonymity in any public retelling of their 86 00:07:31.839 --> 00:07:38.120 experiences. This first case occurred near midday in the center of town of pine 87 00:07:38.160 --> 00:07:42.720 Bush, close to where Route fifty two and Roote three h two cross and 88 00:07:42.800 --> 00:07:46.959 during a winter month. A husband and wife couple were on foot when both 89 00:07:46.079 --> 00:07:51.439 noticed a compact car sized triangular craft above their heads, shockingly hovering at the 90 00:07:51.439 --> 00:07:56.800 height of a telephone poll. After a number of seconds, the craft simply 91 00:07:56.800 --> 00:08:01.759 disappeared. After the object disappeared, the witnesses looked around to see if anyone 92 00:08:01.800 --> 00:08:05.560 else was reacting to the presence of the object, but despite normal midday traffic 93 00:08:05.639 --> 00:08:09.120 and activity, it seemed the couple were the only ones to have seen the 94 00:08:09.160 --> 00:08:13.240 craft. The object was present for enough time that the witnesses were able to 95 00:08:13.279 --> 00:08:18.879 describe and draw what they saw with strong detail, which makes the lack of 96 00:08:18.959 --> 00:08:22.480 other witnesses all the more confounding. Around six pm during a summer month. A husband and wife couple 99 00:08:31.879 --> 00:08:35.919 had just entered the downtown area of pine Bush when one mentioned the odd lack 100 00:08:35.000 --> 00:08:39.600 of activity in town. Suddenly both noticed a rectangular object in the sky. 101 00:08:41.200 --> 00:08:43.840 Shocked, they continued to drive while keeping the object in sight, all the 102 00:08:43.879 --> 00:08:48.799 while being aware of the lack of normal activity. Once the object disappeared, 103 00:08:48.960 --> 00:08:54.279 the people in traffic in town all returned. Like the first account, the 104 00:08:54.320 --> 00:08:56.480 object was in view for a matter of seconds, but long enough to get 105 00:08:56.519 --> 00:09:01.600 an excellent view of it. The third case involves a mother and child in 106 00:09:01.639 --> 00:09:07.159 an area southwest of Pinebush Center during a mid ninety summer day. While observing 107 00:09:07.159 --> 00:09:09.519 her child running around in a backyard, the mother was alarmed to see the 108 00:09:09.600 --> 00:09:15.399 child stop suddenly and stare into the blue sky. The child started asking the 109 00:09:15.440 --> 00:09:18.159 mother if she could see it, but the mother could see nothing except an 110 00:09:18.200 --> 00:09:24.519 empty sky. They certainly present an added challenge to both those 118 00:09:56.519 --> 00:10:01.240 willing to consider that a real objective anomalous experiences happened, as well as to 119 00:10:01.240 --> 00:10:05.559 those inclined to doubt the UFO experience as a true mystery. John Keel also referenced the Wizard of Oz when describing the 125 00:10:28.399 --> 00:10:33.679 strange state that witnesses of UFO events find themselves in. Sometimes one might be 126 00:10:33.720 --> 00:10:37.000 inclined to think that the OZ factor is proof positive that the experience is merely 127 00:10:37.039 --> 00:10:43.080 something psychological and entirely in the head of witnesses. But for the first and 128 00:10:43.159 --> 00:10:48.399 third cases described earlier, physical effects occurred after the event.
