Hello everyone, Welcome back to a new episode of the Poker Go Podcast. My name is Donny Peters. I'm joined by Tim Duckworth. How you doing, sir, I'm doing okay. Well I have a bone depict. Oh, here we go. Every freaking night we are here. Yep, twelve thirty one, one thirty two. I don't know, way too late, way past our bedtime. As you know, old asked dads. Now and I get a deal with the nonsense of our colleagues. The high noon crew just screwing with these microphones. The mixer's always all messed up, ship's unplugged, shit's plugged in over here like all. It's a disaster. It's it's really just disrespectful. It's there are a bunch of animals, these guys. I mean, can they just put the stuff back? This is our podcast equipment. Okay, they hijacked it all to do their show. It Look it doesn't matter because they don't listen, so complaints gonna go on. Deaf is yeah, but it's just it's frustrating every night. I gotta deal with this nonsense. Look, every single run got a weak water go then they'll be out of our lives and we'll go back town normal set obviously in the office. Oh Via harm it's another week. We gotta deal with them for one more week, that's all. Whatever. We can get through this, all right. It is the end of day five of the twenty twenty three World Series of Poker Main event. I would best describe this day as shit just got real, because the ship just got real. Sorry for my lab as you out there, what are you talking about? Today was an windable day from you start. Can I tell you why I don't feel that way? Look out in front of you. What it's just it's not Donna HOWE want it? Well, yeah, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the actual poker play. You can complain about the layout of the we can get checkerboard me baby, Well, they're not going to checkerboard you, I don't think um, because they're setting up to have the three K six matches that today. It was incredible. We had some absolutely crazy hands that happened all throughout the day. So there was that. We're pretty deep now in the field, one hundred and forty nine players remaining. He had a bit of drama that was happening up on the feature table, like, you know, the rails started to build. I would say the rails have been pretty quiet overall so far in the main event, which is you know, understandable. You do get a little bit of a rail on the bubble. You know, everyone's like friends and family are hanging out on the rail making sure they get into the money. But you know, oftentimes whether or not the player that's getting railed is you know, continues on and goes deep or busts out right away, the rail kind of dispersed, you know, for the next let's say, half day, full day, whatever. But I would say after dinner break here on day five, the rail started to pick up. You know, there were people forming on the outside like it was. It was getting you know, two or three heads deep in some sections. So it's building now going forward where the prize money is extremely real currently guaranteed sixty seven thousand, seven hundred dollars. Yeah, so still pushing towards the top one hundred. Once they hit the top one hundred, a little bit into the top one hundred, that's when you hit six figure cashing territory. You know, that's a crap ton of money for a lot of people and yeah, that's when it gets really out of control. But today was absolutely wild, super fun. If you missed the live stream coverage of today, I mean it was by far one of the best live streams i've I can remember from the SPAMIN events. I mean, you had some absolutely wild hands. You had players kind of get it, getting napster with each other, you had big stacks getting built, you had dreams getting crushed. I mean you you really did have it all it was. It was a lot of fun. And then kind of a byproduct of it is they had they had the live stream feed playing out on the Paris side in the Big Paris Ballroom for some of the tournaments that were running over there. They had a deep stack tournament going on. I think they had a six hundred dollar ultra stack going on, and when those big hands were happening, there was massive roars of eruption. Depending on what happened. There was a huge fold made by Toby Lewis at one point when the like everyone just went bonkers. There was a massive hand between Ryan Brown, I think it was Stuart Taylor and Bill Klein, Aces Kings and an Ace Queen that resulted in Ace Queen winning with the Broadwayster. I mean, it was just nuts. The day was absolutely nuts. On today's show, we're going to talk about the one hundred and forty nine players remaining after day five of the WSP Main Event. School teacher Zachary Hall holds the chip lead. Two champions were bounced, clearing the way for a new winner of the WSP Main Event. Two female players remain. Sean Daniels won the Lucky seven set, Davies leads the final twenty four and the twenty five no limit. You got the twenty five k horse that is probably still on the bubble. That bubble might take seventeen days. I feel like you had that six hundred Ultra stack that I just referenced that guy underway. You also had the three thousand dollars Pelo six Max getting underway. So yeah, we're gonna get into all of it because it's great. Then, of course Tim wants to talk about the tournament down the street, so we can talk about that too. I guess I'm not as tired as last night, so I will allow yeah, about five minutes longer. I was so tired this morning I had to wake up for a doctor appointment. Um My wife is pregnant with our second child, doing like three weeks. So you know, we're at that point where we've got to go on doctor's appointments every single week, and she scheduled one for I think nine thirty today. Terrible scheduling by her. Can we just start well, listen, the only time that I can go to these is before the poker starts, right, So I can't go like at three pm, you know, being a real die Hod poker die Hod, and I wouldn't go. I didn't, honestly. I mean, this is my fault. I don't know why, because I thought. I thought that Vice may An event this year was going to be starting at eleven o'clock every day, So I said, you'd have been on the earliest ago, Well it should be setting. It wasn't that what they did last year? Yes? And yeah before that before that changed before and they changed it to noon. So when we made this appointment a couple of weeks ago, I was like, yeah, whatever, no big deal. And then you know we're stuck because I'm stuck because you can't move it around. There was wasn't any free slots whatever, so we're just stuck with it. So because of that the noon start. We play a little bit later, so I'm getting less sleep. I mean, I was so tired this morning. I honestly thought I was going to crash my car. I was so tired, Like it was like I was. It was driving with the windows down type of day because I needed the wind to hit me in the face to keep me up at Yeah, but I didn't have my coffee right away because I woke up late. I was going to be late to the doctor's appointment, so I didn't get the coffee right away. I wait until afterwards. It was. It was a whole thing. But we made it through. And here we are. Day five World Series of Poker main event came back with I think it was four hundred forty one players, so they got down pretty good, down to one hundred and forty nine to end the day. Zachary Hall is the chip leader, leading the way with sixteen point three million. Brian obergon I hope I said that correctly, thirteen point seven million, Leron Batito eleven point eight five million, and Andrew Home eleven point eight million. After the day was all said and done, Tim spoke was Zachary Hall I did a school teacher. Well, look, we didn't know much about him with his multiple handed mubs couldn't really identify him. I was told that his friend was on the Riley's friend was Davis Stefanski, who I think finished at least had a final movie finals. Yeah, he's had some deep runs in the man who actually was in a scooter because he tore his achilles playing basketball. So I hope you get better, David but he told me, yeah, school teacher that he plays ten twenty five back in Springfield. I don't know where that was. School is he teacher? I don't know, but he might. He's either yeah good, really good school or a really good poker player. But Springfield and he leaves. You know, what is it Connecticut? Is that in Connecticut? Springfield? Springfield, Mass? Yeah? I was okay? Wherever that it's a Springfield, Mass Okay, So I don't know if there's Springfield connectd I know there's a Springfield. Yeah, I think it's that one. So he plays there. Gave me a little bit of information. Mid interview, he tried to order a beer, so I paused the interview, let him order his beer, let him pay. But yeah, Chip leaders, Zachary Hall, I'm here with I think the Chip leaders, Zachary Hall. I was chatting with your friend Dave Sefanski on the rail. He told me a little bit about you school teacher play cash games with him back at home. But today you saw the two point six million and now we have sixteen point three. He got a clothe saying what happened today? Yeah, it was a great day. Um. All through this tournament, I've been blessed with awesome tables that are just um, not afraid to play pots, and that's I feel like what you need. I wasn't afraid to play pots, and I made a lot of good five card hands. I made a lot of flushes, less straits a vote or two. Um, and you know, no, no, no coolers. Um, yeah, it's a good day. I believe this is your second main event of any expectations when you were coming into this at all, like you know, I have to perform so on why no, really, it was a terrible summer, so I wanted to cash. Last year, I made it to day three and bluffed off all my chips. Um, so I kind of at least wanted to make the money. Um, but no, this is uh exceeded all my expectations. You know, I've been above average from the first hand of the tournament until I'll take a beer, I've been above average from the first hand of the tournament until now. And um yeah, that's you know, more than I could hope for. So chip later heading in today six Yeah, there's about one hundred and fifty players left. Now, what do you feel like the expectations you're gonna set on yourself heading into the rest of the tournament. Oh, no expectations. I mean, you know, still a card game where luck matters a lot. I'm just gonna play my best and not be entitled, not be entitled shooting for the final table though we'll see. I don't know. It seems like he's a got a decent head on his shoulders to make a run in this thing. What do you think you think he's gonna You think he's gonna blow up the stack, or you think he's gonna make a deep run. I would lean too deep run. You know. He discussed how you know a bus at Day three last year hasn't had a good summer. Today's side with two point six a million everything when his way finished with sixteen point three. So he's running a little bit of a heater. But he seemed like he was just you know, taking one step it at a time, and I think that helps when there's you know, hundred and four eight players between you and twelve point one million and a five hundred thousand dollars bracelet um you lovest to the end of time it so I would predict that I'll leaned to him making a deep run. Sorry, good Luck, Zachary Hall, okay um As. I mentioned those other chip leaders, but we have some other notables, some other players you know, of course, are out there. There's two females remaining, ye es Stell Couet probably butchered that last name. I'm sorry, Estell. And then Nikita Luther Nikita we had on the podcast yesterday. She's still in she's making a run. How many chips did Nikita bag up? Obviously it's not the chip counts. I mean why why why would it be? I mean there's you know, there's only one hundred and forty nine people left in the man event. Why would you ever get those chip counts? Those two are still left. You have Ryan Tausuk is out there, Maurice Hawkins is out there. I meant Pikija is out there. Who bagged up a healthy, pretty healthy stack? I think um Ludovic Gaelic he is also out there. Tobey lewis, yes, battling out there. Daniel Weinman is also out there, sam Stein, Mark Telscher, Alec Terrelli. And then we have Tony Dunst. And Tony is someone that I spoke to at the end of the day. Tony He's always a you know, a nice treat to talk to, not bashful at all. He's you know, he's talkative. He's got a personality. You know. It helps that when you're a professional commentator, that's a you can always find words. Tony had a great day, bagged up more than eight million in chips. That's pretty good, Tony do him pretty well. And I spoke with him after he put those chips in his bag. All right, Tony Dunst end of day five bagged up more than eight million chips, pretty hefty stack. How did the day go for you? As good as you can imagine a day of poker going? And he just came in, started hitting hands, had a guy on my left. She just wanted to play pots against me. And then when I hit about two million mark, I played that crazy pot against John Rasoner Variety ass to kings in a four beat pott and got the full double up to four. Won a big pot with Queen shortly after that pushed me about five. I felt like one of those days where you just you always have the goods your hand holds up. I made numerous flushes and you kind of got paid off like just an incredible day of hanging cards. I follow you on social media, so I know that the early days it seemed like you had to practice a lot of patients. This day seems like it, you know, a nice contrast to what you had to do with at the beginning. At least that's exactly right. The early days were pretty slow. On day two where I was down to eight big blinds and I was really short for most of the day, and very late in day two I hit a rush, and it's It's mostly been a rush since, but nothing has been anything like today. This was pretty nuts last time you cashed on the WSP main event twenty ten, so it's been a while. What's changed since then? The World Series in the poker environment, of course has changed the ton that was still prior to Black Friday, so a completely different vibe. The type of players you encounter in the main events, especially deep, I think has both changed and evolved. We see a lot of very talented players. Then you get down to this stage of the tournament, and I like to think that I've improved as a player and I'm in a much better position to take advantage of this opportunity than I was in twenty ten. Yeah, I was gonna say, you know, you've You've always been someone who's worked on your game, really much more so as of late rules. That feel good to kind of have that all come together now in the biggest term in the world. Absolutely, And it does feel like so many of the things that I've practiced, and so many of the things that I had as a pitfall earlier, I haven't had the same mistakes this time around. That's a really good feeling to kind of see the work and research and practice payoff in the moment and to be able to play with sort of confidence and certainty and not be in these big positions second guessing yourself and maybe making a mistake as a result. You're obviously WPT commentator must feel great though, to always be on the other side of the film making runs too. I love the mix of playing for a living and in the commentary for the WBT, and when you get deep into one, it can always feel like the grass is greener on the other side, and right now though, on the felt it feels pretty damn green. And last question, I always ask everyone, are you having fun? Absolutely, I'm having so much fun. I'm on the edge of my seat I can't believe I'm really here, and uh, you know, no matter what happens, like you have to try and enjoy this because I don't care how good you are many times to play the main like if you're not going to make day five, Day six, very many times in your entire lifetime, your entire career, so you've got to try and enjoy bagging up again more than eight million. Last time he cashed was twenty ten in the main event Been Forever. Jonathan Duhamel won that year. Who did Jonathan do ahamil beating heads up play? Are you really thinking this long? Is this is a serious Christional? Yes, John Racer, I have a mental booze still left in the tournament this year, John Racer, There you go. See That's what I was trying to get out, a right, are you killing absolutely as a statman and he's just doing that sort of stuff. Um. A couple of notable eliminations here. We had Chris Moneymaker and Joe Hasham, two former champions of the World Series of Poker Main Event. Chris Moneymaker two thousand and three, that's when he won it. Joe Hasham won it in two thousand and five and guess what they busted in back to back spots this year. First it was Moneymaker going out in four hundred and fourth place. Joe Hasham followed right out the door in four hundred and third place. Those are the last two former champions of the divsp main events. So everyone left. We're gonna have a brand new winner, brand new winner in this event. So that's I mean, not that you know, it's ever expected that somebody's gonna win it twice. But we did have some deep runs but from some champs. So yeah. Um, we also lost Jason Coon today. He was out. I think on the first hand, Um really it was. It was the first hand or one of the very first hands of the day, Um King verse tens and he actually flopped a king if you can believe it. I believe it came Ace King. I mean I can't remember Ace King queen. And then Jack on the river run, I think that's what it was. The thing, I yes, yes it was um so yeah, he fought to set his opponent end up river in a straight The money went in pre flop, so Jason Coone lost. Darius Sammartino busted, Chris Brewer out, Phil Hue out now Farrell out, James Opts out, Chance Corneth out Chance Corneth. I mean this hand was out of control. This is one of the absolutely mega hands that we saw today. You had Nick Rigby up on the feature table doing his thing, blasting away active on. You know, eighty percent of hands he opens with aces. Can you believe they gave Nick Rigby a chance? Corneth gets ace, King of Hearts three bets it's on. Nick Rigby now used to have a boatload of chips a ton. I can't remember how many. I think they might have had one hundred big blinds each. I'm pretty sure it was one hundred big bins or like just Rigby had Corneth covered, and I think Chance had like ninety five or one hundred big blinds. Rigby just decides to rip it all in, which is like kind of crazy because then you're just like, you know, Chances absolutely only calling if he has it. You know, you're not even giving him a chance to possibly, you know, do some sort of bluff or get some more money post slop or whatever. Chance snaps them off. Obviously Chance has a hand as King of Hearts, and here we go, two hundred big b lines in the middle board runs out clean for rigby chance is dead on the turn and hello. I mean that was just it was crazy. That was wild. So that was one of the wild hands that we saw. You also had Nick Waghany busting Jason Somerville, Richard Seymour busted out, Bill Klein went out. Bill Klein also involved in a wild hand. It was Bill Klein with pocket kings. Who was I believe the gentleman's name was Stuart Taylor. I know his last name was Taylor. I hope I'm not getting wrong on the first name. Bill Klein has kings, He raises Taylor, calls with aces. Then I can't remember if the small blind called or not. But Ryan Brown was in the big blind I believe, and he just moved all in with Ace Queen off trying to get the folds. I think he moved all in for around forty big blinds. Bill Klein obviously goes all in. Taylor right there to go all in as well. Cards are on their backs, Kings, Aces, Ace Queen. The flap is king high. It's like King xx right, and Bill Klein takes the lead. Bill Klein has both of his opponents covered. So Bill Clein is now in the driversy to take these guys out turn is a jack. Now it's like, oh my gosh, Ryan Brown has a chance river boom ten there it is, and he busts or he yeah, he bust Taylor and then he doubles through Bill Klein, which is just in absolutely wildhand. I heard when that hand happened. Paris absolutely exploded when that river card hit, which yeah, yeah, why wouldn't it. I mean, that's just as as exciting as it comes that hand that that pot um shot Brown up from about one million to over three million. He ended up finishing the day with six point eight three million. Ryan Brown. UM believe he plays high stakes cash plays also tournaments, but high stakes cash out of out of Maryland. His girlfriend also went pretty deep in the event. If you can look up where she finished, um sung lee but she goes by Debbie. Um, she ran pretty deep in this event. I believe she took a pretty bad beats. Um got knocked out by a belief seven. Yeah, so she went very deep. But yeah, Ryan Brown finished up six point eight three million. Ryan Brown. If you're a listener of this podcast, he took by him a lot one of Donnie Peters's ones to watch entering the twenty twenty three World Series of Poker, and here he is. Here he is six point eight three million heading to Day six of the World Series of Poker main event. That's a pretty good chip set. Mean, that's a pretty good call by me. Right, well, it's a pretty good call. Let's not get ahead of ourselves yet. What do you mean I pick the guy's going to day six again? Sixty K. I'm just saying that's a pretty good call. Man, that's a pretty pretty good call. That's what we If we were Daniel, we would insert the curb your enthusiasm pretty deep Perperta. Yes, you know what I'm talking about, man. I love curb your enthusiasm. I love Seinfeld, I love curb. But think they're great, all right. Chris Fitch busted out Jeff Gross, We lost him, Froz Jaca out, Jesse Loanis out, Nick Marchington out, Mickey due out. Mickey Dueck finished in third place last year. Good run for him this year, finishing in one hundred and seventy eighth place. Davide Katai one hundred and seventieth place. We lost Andrew Nemi. He ran pocket sevens in a pocket tens to bust in one hundred and sixty fourth place, and and we also lost Matt Salzburg in one hundred and sixtieth place. Tim, what's the chop value six hundred and twenty six thousand, eight hundred and forty five dollars? Chop it off, guys, chop. I mean that's a good Yesterday you were like, it's around two hundred or whatever you said. I mean, this is like, this is he's insane. Yesterday's point it was, you know, something like ten x the current cash. Today it's you know, basically the same thing ten x. I mean this is I mean, it's hard to turn down ten x. What you guarantee to be honest? Three four x maybe you gamble, but ten x. Just let's just wrap it up. Pick center in twenty six. They can jump in day one of the six. No one cares about them on chop Let's go home. Um, I mean, just absolutely nuts. Who else we got left in the field? Nice Silva, he backs, yes. Matthew Watman, Yes, a real buckie. John Duffy, he's out there, just um. Christian Harder Chris Lee aka Genius twenty eight is out there pinglu Is still in the face, was still in Yeah. Really, I have not seen anymore John Troha. Somehow you got to play with two cards even though I only thought he played with a few times. And the deals like that doesn't work. He's sorry, Sorry, No, I think that that's binding though, isn't It doesn't count as a bet. That's silly. Why doesn't the count as the bet? We're not playing file limit? Were playing not a limit? Yea. But if you say I want to bet the pot doesn't matter, that con't count. You know, to count the party and not limit hold them. You can only spread the pot. Why it's a rule I want to bet. There are a lot of really dumb rules. If you say I want to bet the pot, the dealer can only spread the people I want to. I'm gonna get off in the tangent talk about what I think is arguably the dumbest rule in poker. So you're at the table right, we're playing. But the buttons in C one we deal the hand, it finishes, okay, dealer deals the next hand, button remains in CE one does not move. Okay, okay, it goes first. Two people fold, I raise person behind me, folds. Yes, somebody's like, wait, the button didn't move. Now they call this significant action and you have to play the hand out? Why on earth you have to play the hand out? The hand is not correct. It's it's literally not correct. Just redo everything, take the cards back. Yes, someone pulls their beat back. End of story. I understand that if if if a hand was not supposed to happen, a situation was not supposed to happen, and you can easily just end the hand and like just give people the chips back that everyone put into the possibly put into the pot, then just do that. Why would you play a hand that is not correct? What is the point of doing that? Like, is there's some sort of angle that you can do because you're making somebody pay the big blind twice, pay the small blind twice, et cetera, like that, it just seems so silly to do that. There is probably some kind of angle that you can do. The thing. The argument against, you know, just redoing the hand is it is on the big blind, It is on the small blind to you know, be aware, it's it's a vision. It's also on the deal. If you're doing a job and moving the running the game they say in Folker, they say, God speak right when you seek, Like, so you, as the big blind, have played the big blind when the dealer goes put out your big blinding, you know, I was just big bine and then you adjust the button. Now it's also this is a ridiculous rule, and it's it's an absolutely ridiculous rule. It's were you the big blind when this happened? That it was not the big bine? I was the person who raised so blinds And Annie's yeah, but that doesn't matter. What does that matter? I could have raised the next hand. I mean, I don't know, like this would be hard to do, but you could just play this hand and then when you come back around, he doesn't play that big blind just skips. That's these people are complicated. Yes, they can't even figure out that you, like, you shouldn't play that handy. There's no way they could figure out that next rotation. Okay, so just let's just take the one that I don't understand. What's the point? I mean, it just makes it seems silly to me. Anyway. Chop value is six hundred and twenty six thousand dollars in the event, if you ever want to chop. I do wish they would put it on the screen as a funny joke. How much are they actually guaranteed? I think it's sixty seven thousand, sixty seven seven. I also want to want to hit on Sundaiada DeVore, who's having a great year. He took second in the Return at the Borgata way back in January. That was a fifty three hundred dollars buying. He won over nine hundred thousand dollars for that finish, and then he finished I believe it was fifth place in the bet MGM Poker Championship that was at Aria slashed the Poker gro Studio, and I think he took around one hundred forty one hundred and forty five thousand dollars for that finish. So really good year for Sundaiada Davore. And now he's among the final one hundred and forty nine in the World Series of Poker main event, so very good on him. It's very early, right, it's huney one hundred and forty nine players left. Manner backed up seven point six minute. I want us to say who we would like to win right now with con Se Nikita okay no that I'm not playing this because that's kind of too obvious. Female playing the game. Come on, just play the game. I'm not playing the game. It's Nikita. The answer is, I know it is, but let's let's pretend she's out now, Tim. I want to be clear, Tim is asking this question not from necessarily a rooting interest for our own personal feelings. He's asking it from the point of view of like, what's the best for poker? They always say, like, you know what's good for poker? What's not good for poker? You know who winning would be the best for poker. I think it's Nikita luther by it a country mile. Well, we're forgetting the one who who was rivaling Nikita Lutha for the growth, and that's it's Massada. Well, I think it's probably I think it's Nikita by a by a wide gap. And then I would say, um, Massado Yoko Sawa who bagged up six point seven four million. I think he's I think he's probably second, yes, And then I think Nick Rigby's third. Oh, that's a good one. I mean Nick Rigby is just like Nick Rigby by the way back. Nick Rigby the Nick Rigby Show today was out of control. It was rib roller coaster. I mean it was just wild. He had he had one point five million, he had over seven million, he had four and a half, he was back up to six and a half, he was all over the plays. He finishes the day with one point six five million. I mean he could be out tomorrow on the first level, or he could have ten million by dinner break. Yeah, like it's just wild. So I would highly encourage people to tune in tomorrow to Poker Grow or tune in on I should say on Wednesday, July twelfth, four day six coverage starts at one pm. It'll continue all day long. I think it's like eleven hours of coverage or ten hours of cover. So you know, you guys got nothing else better to do. I know, come on, you don't have lives like us, So let's go. Nick Rigby, I think is probably up there. You know, there might be some other stories within here that we don't know. Yeah, I think with Nikita Luther one female. We haven't had a female make the Final table since Barbara Nwright in nineteen ninety five, which seems like one thousand years ago. It was a long time ago, of course, but it seems like forever ago, we have had some close calls, but ultimately nothing has come through. Most notably Galbowman Elizabeth hill A missed out on the final table. I think it was tenth and eleventh for them, or eleventh and twelve something like that, but yeah, that was the closest we've come. She's also Indian, so the Indian poker population which is I would say, very eager and also a little bit rabid, you know, just just like ready to go, chomping at the bit to get out there. So if one of their own was to go on to win the not only the biggest tournament in the world, but the biggest ever biggest tournament in the world, would be absolutely incredible. She's a really big name on the Indian poker front, so we know how big India is as a country billion one point six billion or whatever it is. People like, it's just it's absolutely astronomically massive. So that would just be super cool. You know, you check off the female box, you get a country that is, you know, ripe for a poker boom in a lot of ways. You get that. I think it would be great. And if you listen to her yesterday, you know, like I think you probably have a good sense that she'd be a really good champion, really good ambassador for the game. She had about she had over nine million chips today, but she lost a really big one late to John Raisner, so there was that. So um, she'll have to kind of build back up tomorrow. But you know, I think she can probably do it. I mean, she's capable, so we'll see if some things break her way. She backed up looks like four point three million on the day. Then I have Massado Yoko Sawa, a Japanese poker player slash vlogger who is like every time we like tweet about him, it's just craziness. The fan bases like they should just go hand for hamm on Massada. They love We need to put him right up there on that fat love Missado. I mean, and he's like he's like a child. He has just an absolutely booming sunlight of a personality. Super happy. He blew me a kiss today in the town. He saw me. I haven't seen him all day, you know. I don't always go out into the field, kind of stay away when it gets to Steeve. Sometimes they'll go out there and kind of check on things. Get to lay at the land all that sort of stuff. Um, I walked out there. He looks up, he sees me, huge smile, boom, blows me a kiss. I'm like, okay, I mean whatever I'm in So I don't love you, man. Let's go. Um and just with how how big he is in the YouTube streets, how big he is with the Japanese poker community, like that would be massive if he won. Yea. You know, I also think Nick Rigby is right up there. I mean Nick Rigby, he gives hope to every home game hero in the USA, gives me a chance. Everyone, everyone that's you know, everyone that's rolling up to their buddy's house on Tuesday night, seven pm in one hand, you know, in other hand, some deritos like that. That's like, that's the Nick Rigby in this industry, in the game. Yeah, so that's the Nick Griggby. You know, a guy who just loves to play poker, plays eighty percent of the hands that are dealt to him, plays him in ways that you'd probably look at him and be like, I would never do that. That's bad. That's four yeah, four xteen, the seven twos free, I mean, you know, just crazy stuff. But he's got good card since and I think a lot of people will look at it and be like, if that guy can do it, I can do it. You know, he just needs to bring back the bucket hat tomorrow he does that. I think that was his mistake. Honestly, he had he had the bucket hat and the Gucci shades. I have no idea if they were a Gucci or not, but they look like Gucci shades. Yesterday, Um, he went away from it. Today he went with his baseball hat that said Stork on it, um and then he had product glasses on. But they looked like they looked a little bit different than the Gucci shades. They are Prada, they are whites m but you know they didn't work today. The Bible wasn't there yesterday he crushed. Today he went the other way. He was up and down today, so he could have certainly crushed, but he ultimately finished down from where he was. So, you know, I think he's got to go back to the bucket hat and the Gucci shades. You know, I'm all in on the bucket hat. Yeah, yeah, And I think you know, I think Nick Griegby is great. You know, he gives hope to I guess the everyman poker player, the guy I know his I know his Twitter handle is gto underscore diaper. That man does not play gto. Okay, you know, he gives hope to all the regular poker players out there that are playing nightly. He's playing these home games and you know, going to the locals, you know, playing one two, one three, noem and hold him all that sort of stuff. Those are the Nick Griegby's of the world. Yeah, you know. And if he can do it, you can do it if you save up ten k. That's my marketing pitch for Nick Rigby. Okay, So those are my three, my top three for the you know what's best for poker rankings? Who do you got? I'm right there with you, to be honest, you know that's right. Hot to argue with Nikita, hot to argue argue against Masato Rigby. You could. It could go either way. I'm not sure what it may do for will it really pull a new amount of players into the into the mix. I'm not quite sure yet. You know, like we said, it's stay five, there's several more days before the storylines can develop. We may find something deep in this list of one hundred and forty nine players that you know what actually might be. Who knows it could be better than Nikita. Unlikely, but you just never know. Yeah, I mean, and listen, we're not trying to slate the other players that are still in UM. You know, we'll realize some more stories. We'll see how this thing all plays out as we go, and we're looking for some characters. That's what we're trying to do, trying to find find little diamond in the rough. So we're so used to like being you know PGT Bass and being in the studio with all these hi rollas, being a very stoic poker player, you know, in front of us at all the tables, and it's it's refreshing to be here at the World Series, especially during the main event, where the money is just as big as it is in the studio, and we have these characters like Massado, We have people we don't see it all throughout the year, you know, mixed with some really good poker players, you know, Tony Dunce, Ryan Tassik, you know, Christian Harder like people we've known for many, many years. So it's kind of it's great to see new face. It's great to see old faces and you know, trying to find the next the next person to to cheer for as an industry. And there's a little bit of a story within the story brewing, and that is I would say a rivalry between Daniel Vampin and Nicholas Rigby, because they got into it heading into the dinner break today. So Rigby had been up and down all day, but he had been losing a bunch of parts and kind of losing grip on everything in like the half an hour or twenty minutes heading into when the dinner break was going to be. So a hand comes up where he played it against. I believe it was Jacob Sacks who jams the river with a straight he had the wheel. Nick Rigby's got ace seven high right, and he starts tanking hand tanking an tanking. He's like, he's like five six minutes into the tank. And Vampin, who I believe, if I remember correctly, was relatively new to the table. He hadn't been there the whole day. He had moved there relatively recently, I think, if I'm getting that correct. He calls the clock, okay, so floor comes over. They say it was you know, it's been enough time, So they issue the clock. You know, the clock starts going down. Rigby folds his hand. But then I believe it was Sacks who first said something. He said something to vamp In about like him calling the clock, because my impression was that Vampin thought that he might have got called if the clock wasn't called. Got it. Then then Vampon said something, Then Nick Rigby said something, and it was a whole thing where Riggby was like, well, I don't know what why you're calling the clock on me. I'm the fastest fving player in this whole tournament. I have been the whole time, like, I don't know what you're doing. Um, you know, Vampin's like I wanted a couple more hands before dinner. You know, Sacks is saying stuff. They're going back and forth. Eventually Vampin says something like you took eleven minutes or something, and and Rigby's like, snap under, how much you want to beat? Like anything you want like? And then and then so they have a little bit more back and forth, and then Vampin says you took fourteen minutes, and Rigby's like, oh, it just keeps going up by three minutes. I just think it's hilarious how mad you are, Like you got five hundred k on the river. The guy was never calling you. You fucking bink the fall suit four and you're like so tilted on me calling clock. Bro, You're like so tilted on me calling club. We waited eleven minutes for the hand, like you guys are both out of line, actually, like I wanted to get I wanted to get a couple of hands eleven minutes a minute though, God do we have to go on the dinner break now? Things right? I should be thanking you. I think you said, yeah, I think you saved his life exactly that. Why why would I not be upset? Like the most absurd thing I've ever seen? I guess it's just crazy to want to get four more hands. He got two more hands, sorry, man, Like, don't take fourteen minutes in the fucking hands, Like, oh, it just keeps you keep that in. Three minutes was the whole fucking Literally, were thinking, I'm not angry, he's with you. And then they're like they're standing up and they're still yelling at each other, and they're going back and forth and it kind of looked like like Vamping gave like this hand gesture, which I think he gave like the hang loose han hand just or I don't know. It was just wacky. It was funny, um, it was obviously entertaining, It was dramatic, it was all of those things. So yeah, and then they come back from dinner and Vamping proceeds like flop like four full houses like against Rigby, and it was just the whole thing was crazy. So yeah, Vamping later on ran this absolutely insane bluff against Toby Lewis where he had he had a high against Lewis's nut flushed, but the board had paired on the river. So Lewis like tanks forever and then folds. And that's one of the like if you look on social media, you'll see a bunch of videos like Pads had one, Bona fide Anna had one, Shane Schlager had one, maybe David Baker had one. But a video of the Paris room when that fold was made, the room erupted. This day. This day was absolutely wild. It was absolutely wild. Yeah, But I don't I don't think Toby Lewis like he knew that this guy could just absolutely blast off like that, which is just crazy. That's gonna do it for our talk about the WISP main event again moving towards Day six tomorrow, you guys can watch it on Poker Grow absolutely cannot wait for that. The seven hundred and seventy seven dollars Lucky sevens NOLM and Hold Him seventy three hundred entries show on. Daniels takes it down for seven hundred and seventy seven thousand and seven hundred and seventy seven dollars his first World Series of Poker Gold bracelet. Congratulations mister Daniels. The twenty five hundred dollars No Him and Hold Him is down to the final twenty four players. Yesterday, Seth Davies was leading. Today, Seth Davies is leading. He just seems like he's just gonna go wire to wire in this hope. So he's crushing. He's got a massive lead. Yeah he not double, but it feels like it's double. Yeah, he's he's really busting this one. Yeah, he's absolutely crushing. More than six hundred and eighty two thousand dollars for first place. Seth Davis got a bracelet. I say no he's got a WPT title. I know that. I don't know if he has a bracelet. If he does, it's like in some it's either or a fifteen hundred or five K is my guess. You should look that up. I will look at it. I'm gonna say, no, he doesn't have one. Yeah, that's what I think. But I definitely know that he does have a WPT title. Zero. No. The first profile that comes up is one result. Well that's on him. That can't be it, right, Um, will you look at that? I'm going to run through a couple other notables that are still in ruy Ferrara four point three million, Nick Palmer eight hundred and twenty thousand, and Galen Hall seven hundred and five thousand. They're all in the money. With those twenty four players left guessing, they're gonna try and play it out tomorrow, play it down to a winner again, six hundred and eighty two thousand dollars up top for the winner of that one. Does he have a bracelet? He does not? Okay, we solve that problem. So he's going first first. That is Seth Davies sucker Ring. Sucker Ring is not a race, okay, twenty five thousand dollars horse one hundred and twelve entries. They had ninety eight yesterday, so fourteen more players jumped in before the start of Day two. Seven hundred and eleven thousand dollars first place. Wow, that's crazy, really big down to the final eighteen players on the bubble. Seven they're still six hours still on the bubble. Oh my gosh, that's just crazy. Seventeen are in the money. Javiera two point four or five, Allan Matt Grape and Theme one point six. Alan Kessler's out there battling Scott Bowman. Of course, all those ship of guns are going to change before they come back tomorrow, So this one we'll just leave it as it is. Eighteen left, they're on the bubble. We'll talk about it again tomorrow as they either have a winner or have much fewer players in the field. The three thousand dollars pot limon Omaha six max one and thirteen entries more than four hundred and eighty thousand dollars to first place, about two hundred and fifty remaining, you know, give or take. Who knows. Mitchell Watson leading the way. Dylan Wiseman, also one of the bigger stacks in the room. That one's still got a ways to go. So Watson Australian. There you go, Ozzy Ozzy Azzi. Oh yo YOI six speaking of Ozzi. Sorry, yeah, interrupt This last night we interviewed Joe hash Him. You remember that This morning the South of the Tournament, Jeff Platt interviewed Joe hash Him. He was eliminated. At that same time, I quote tweeted our podcast and I and all I put in the quote was past the sugar. Joe hash Him responds to the tweet and says, message me. So I'm like, oh shit, what did I do? I go to message him. It doesn't even follow me, so I can't even sent him in DM. But I respond back and said, my dms are open. I U sell around the horseshoe, and knowing that Joe was a big omahafan, I was like, there's a chance he might have jumped in the three K, So I decided to go walk over there. Walked around the three K. I found him. He's in a hand. He looked up. He's like, oh, give me a minute, plays the hand and he goes, come come here, come out. O'm my gosh shit, I'm in trouble. I'm in trouble, and he goes, hey, can you give me some Poka goo gear? I honestly thought I was in trouble and all he wanted was a couple of freehoodies. You just cashed for thirty thousand dollars. But I got him some free hoodies because it's the champ. Yeah, give him all the free him, three items, all the freehood that he wants. If you're a former w manivent champion, I think you have a standing offer to come get a free pover hoodie. I think I'm pretty safe in saying that six hundred dollar ultrastack Day one A had a little bit over a thousand entries. They are down in the money. Chase Land looks to be leading the way, Christina Gollins doing well, Shane Schlager doing well, Alex Bolton also doing well. That one's got a bit of a waste to go? Was it one more? Starting flight tomorrow? Yeah, So we'll be talking about this one as the days come along. Could go podcast fan Paul Them and bag Chips too. There are you in the money? He's probably wearing the hat to be better a being wearing the hat. Um, what's coming up? We got Day six WISP main event kicking off tomorrow at noon. The live stream will be happening at one pm Vegas time, so tune on in. You got day one B of that six hundred dollar ultrastack. You've got a fifty thousand dollars noleman hold them high roller. Of course you're going to have another day of the twenty five k horse, another day of the twenty five hundred dollar no limit, another day of the three k Yellow six Max. All right, let's talk about your baby down the street. The WP Kitty game is down the street, Buddy W. Street. Everyone for One Drop Main Event, ten thousand, five hundred dollar buying. Two hundred dollars of each entry goes to charity. We have had a total of sixteen hundred and seventy six entrance. That's three hundred and thirty five k to charity. So kudos to WPT and the One Drop team there Um. Day one c nine hundred and seventy one players were down a three thirty one chip leader UFU he with four hundred and thirty seven thousand also in the top ten called Garcia, Calvin Anderson Roger, WPT Champions Club members Roger Tesca and Larry Greenberg see Roger tag. Yeah, well, I mean he has a badge. Well, I don't know the badges that I uploaded to the WPT back let him an online I it was an online one that that is. That could very well be it. I just don't remember. Unless someone just misused the badges I made. I'm gonna look at I don't doubt them. Yeah, there we go. He won the We won the WPT Gardens Poker Festival in twenty nineteen. Oh I was at that. I shouldn't know that. So five hundred and thirty seven play is coming in to day two on Wednesday. We got three hundred and twenty seven players away from the money. First prize in this two point five six million dollars. So that's pretty nice, good summer saber for someone out there. Okay, this first place prize, guys, why okay, look at second place. I'm playing it back up. Second place is one point seven four million, one million, seven hundred and forty thousand got it. Third place one million, three hundred and two thousand got it, Fourth place nine hundred and fifty six thousand. Why is first place two million, five hundred and sixty one thousand, four hundred and eighty dollars. What would you prefer to do with the four eighty First of all, just make it two and a half million, and then you losing money? Who's losing money? For the guy who wins two and a half You just get robbed in sixty thousand dollars. Who cares? Put it somewhere else? I'm pretty sure he kiss. You know what you could have done is you could have had two point five million up top, because the second is one point seventy four. You could have stuck six point there to make it and even one point eight we still got. The next place is is one million, three hundred and two dollars. Just make that one hundred and one point three million and then put the other money elsewhere. Okay, the bottom spot, Look at these seventeen thousand, two hundred. We could make that seventeen two fifty or something and seventeen five you know something like that. You get what you're saying, I hear you. Yeah, just have a nice even first place price. I don't know why people do this for two point five six is more than two point five let's just say that. That's why I understand why you're doing it for like events that are like a little bit lower in the scale of importance. So you know, like the like this twenty five allar Nolman hold him at the World Series, he write the one that set Davis and it's like, you know, six hundred eighty two thousand whatever for first place. That's fine, But the win events, you know, twelve million, one hundred thousand, like nice even round number, whole bunch of zeros at the end of you know, like because that's obviously the one that's gonna get picked up by mainstream media all that sort of stuff. I think we this WPT one, you know, could have a shot of getting picked up by some mainstream media because it has the charity element. Yes, like obviously one drop is gonna be helping push that out there to as many media outlets as possible. So why isn't it just even two point five million. Here's the thing. I think we get more concern when the price the payout is something something like ninety thousand, and we're like, let's just fine, ten k moll, Well, we could have done with this one. You know, you mentioned the sixty k and putting it on a second look at fourth place nine to fifty six. We could have made four million dollar payouts with a little bit of tweaking. Maybe he could have, and that might have been a better story. The whole the whole payout thing is just it's just a pet peeve of mine. So that's why I'm on it right now. MT everyone for one drop crowns four new millionaires. I mean, yeah, there you go, there's a headline. Write that, mister pr Man, that would be good. This determined, I feel like it's going to take forever, right well, I think it's there's a day three, four or five six, right, yeah, so that's gonna take a while. They also have the hundred and eleven k yeah, WPT out for eight for one drop starting on July fourteenth, so that's this Friday. Yeah, so those are going on. But of course, you know, the large majority of our focus is going to be on the World Series of Focus, so on the wp A event. But you know, this is Tim's baby, soo we'll touch on it. Every we get criticized. We do not give all the love, and we're giving all the love. There's no excuses for our listeners out there to say, you haven't talked about the win. I didn't know personally that we we talked about non WPT main tour events. I mean, I didn't know that that was a thing. Wow, shots fired, huh. I mean, I'm just saying this is listed as a special event. So unless this is a very special event. It's the WPT Everyone for One Job where three hundred and thirty five thousand, two hundred dollars has been raised for the One Job charity. This should definitely be a main tour event. Yeah. I don't know why there has to be a special event. I also don't understand why you can't just change that. Right. Does that mean if someone Okay Darren Elias wins this, yeah, it doesn't count. It doesn't count, and he doesn't get a seat into the don't. Yeah, as far as I know. And let's special on the WPT. Remember the Bad Boys of Poker. Yeah, that's a special event. That's what I'm saying that you are special events. And that's fine. First prize one hundred k. You have a two point five million dollars, But this could be what top four biggest WPT um first prizes of the season. Yeah, listen, that's why I should be. I'm with you. There's a right I'm with you. But that's gonna do it. I wish you toss on us. We will to get some text messages about whatever. It doesn't matter. Big day tomorrow. I feel like I'm ready, you know. Obviously the World Two's of Poker started several days ago. We still have several days left. This thing is a behemoth of a tournament. It's pretty crazy. Um'm going into day six. It'll be Wednesday, July twelfth. It ends on July seventeenth, which is a Monday. I think they have Saturday off, play Sunday and then play play Sunday for the first day first part of the final table, and then play Monday for the second part of the final table. So still a bunch of days left. It's only going to get more excited as we go, you know, as like what I was saying was, you know, I feel like that obviously made him a kicked off. It's obviously exciting right from the start, yes, but now it's as I set off the top of the show, shit just got real. That's how I feel, you know, going forward, And I'm really excited to watch this one play out starting with Wednesday's Day six. All right, that's gonna do it for us. My name is Donnie Peters. His name is Tim duck Worth Thing. We will talk to you guys later, please,
