Kelly and Jason camped in Ottawa Park the weekend following Ruter's 93 00:09:22.039 --> 00:09:28.360 murder. I'm even more certain that Kelly and Jason murdered Andrew Fugate at the 94 00:09:28.399 --> 00:09:33.879 Pietech Meat Plant on November fourth of twenty thirteen. About thirty minutes later, his phone pinged at a tower located twenty 112 00:11:05.720 --> 00:11:11.960 miles away in East Alton, Illinois, and then there's no activity on his 113 00:11:11.039 --> 00:11:18.080 phone until nine thirty, Over nine hours after the East Alton ping. At 114 00:11:18.159 --> 00:11:20.600 nine thirty, Jared called the mother of his two daughters, whom he was 115 00:11:20.639 --> 00:11:24.559 supposed to pick up. He told her that he'd run out of gas and 116 00:11:24.639 --> 00:11:30.120 was trying to get to a gas station. That call pinged off a tower 117 00:11:30.440 --> 00:11:35.200 seventy five miles away from East Halton and from where his daughters lived with their 118 00:11:35.279 --> 00:11:41.320 mother and a rural area just north of Centralia, Illinois, and that was 119 00:11:41.360 --> 00:11:48.399 the last confirmed contact with Jared. On July fifth, Jared's car was found 120 00:11:48.559 --> 00:11:52.639 parked and out of gas along Jolife Bridge Road, about three miles north of 121 00:11:52.720 --> 00:11:58.679 Centralia in a rural farming area, and when local law enforcement started looking into 122 00:11:58.679 --> 00:12:05.279 his disappearance, two fairly credible tips came in. One from a motorist who 123 00:12:05.320 --> 00:12:09.440 said he saw a man fitting Jared's description walking along Jolife Bridge Road at around 124 00:12:09.480 --> 00:12:16.440 midnight between July second and third. A second tip came in from a couple 125 00:12:16.440 --> 00:12:20.919 who lived on Jolife Bridge Road. They stated that a man matching Jared's description 126 00:12:22.039 --> 00:12:26.440 knocked on their door at around eight am on July third, asking for a 127 00:12:26.519 --> 00:12:33.320 drink of water and directions to the nearest gas station. Kelly claims 144 00:14:01.279 --> 00:14:05.480 that Jason took a locket with the initials l L from this victim. Jared 145 00:14:05.519 --> 00:14:11.799 disappeared some time between July second and July fourth of two thousand eleven. I'm 146 00:14:11.840 --> 00:14:16.399 sure you'll recall that Kelly claimed to have killed a truck driver at a motel 147 00:14:16.440 --> 00:14:22.639 six and Mattune, Illinois, several days before her arrest, and while she 148 00:14:22.720 --> 00:14:26.759 could be placed at the Motel six and was seen with a trucker while she 149 00:14:26.879 --> 00:14:31.519 was there, there were no missing truck drivers reported in the area at that 150 00:14:31.679 --> 00:14:35.600 time, nor was there any evidence that any crime had been committed in the 151 00:14:35.679 --> 00:14:43.000 motel. But before financial records indicated Kelly stayed in Mattune, she told investigators 152 00:14:43.000 --> 00:14:48.519 that this murder took place near Effingham, Illinois. Jared's car was found about 153 00:14:48.600 --> 00:14:56.080 fifty miles southwest of Effingham, oh And Jared he was a truck driver. 154 00:14:58.679 --> 00:15:03.480 Kelly also told invest stigators that Minnesota, Jason was a single father to two 155 00:15:03.519 --> 00:15:09.279 young girls. Jason rud was a father to two young boys, but Jared 156 00:15:09.399 --> 00:15:13.879 Hannah was a single father to two young girls. And then there's the piece 157 00:15:13.919 --> 00:15:18.440 of jewelry that went missing with Jared. On the day Jared went missing, 158 00:15:18.559 --> 00:15:24.879 he was reportedly wearing a necklace with a silver cross on it. That necklace 159 00:15:24.080 --> 00:15:31.559 was never found. In Kelly's list of trophies, she includes a necklace with 160 00:15:31.679 --> 00:15:39.080 a silver cross. Most notably, though, is the location. In twenty 161 00:15:39.360 --> 00:15:45.080 eleven, Kelly was enrolled in her forensics course at Purdue University Calumet, and 162 00:15:45.200 --> 00:15:50.879 she was taking multiple trips to the Tennessee Body Farm, the inspiration behind her 163 00:15:50.039 --> 00:15:56.440 butterfly obsession. It's about an eight hour drive from Maryville to the Body Farm, 164 00:15:58.159 --> 00:16:03.039 so according to Kelly and Jason cousin, she frequently drove there through Wingo, 165 00:16:03.159 --> 00:16:07.399 Kentucky, where she'd stay the night, and route Interstate fifty seven takes 166 00:16:07.399 --> 00:16:14.360 you directly from Merylville to Wingo. Jared's car was found just five miles off 167 00:16:14.440 --> 00:16:27.720 Interstate fifty seven. The second disappearance that coincides with many of Kelly's statements is 168 00:16:27.759 --> 00:16:34.039 that of Stephen Kraft, whose name you may recognize as one of Israel Key's 169 00:16:34.159 --> 00:16:40.840 name is forty four. As you might recall, Kelly told investigators about what 170 00:16:41.080 --> 00:16:47.080 was allegedly her first murder sometimes second murder, the murder of Dylan Austen, 171 00:16:48.080 --> 00:16:52.200 according to Kelly, which should probably have been the title for this entire season. 172 00:16:52.720 --> 00:16:56.720 She met Dylan Austen, a twenty three year old man from Rensselaire, 173 00:16:56.799 --> 00:17:02.960 Indiana, through her friend Tim Kelly. Additionally, Ogden looked 183 00:17:52.079 --> 00:17:57.480 into this and confined no one matching Dylan's name or description. At some time between seven and eight pm. Kelly would have 189 00:18:26.400 --> 00:18:33.519 been eighteen at the time when Stephen went missing.
